Used to fit

The shiny red satin cups of the L'Agent by Agent Provocateur Danita Bra are very low cut. Of all the bras I've tried in my size (UK 30F, typically) and sister size (UK 32E) that fit, the Danita has the skimpiest coverage. This is the stereotypically sexy look half cup bras are known for, and it's happening for little ole me! Usually half cup bras look full coverage on me. I'm in that middle ground of shallow vs. projected, but I do have a tall root on a petite frame, and I benefit from the open tops of half cups and bands on the high side. In a bra, I'm quite full on top. Out of a bra, even to full on top. I can wear 30F full cups in Fantasie, 30F balconettes in Panache, and 30FF balconettes in Cleo, with no gapping or wrinkling, but I get tired of my torso being 1/3 covered in bra.

There are a few minor fit issues with the Danita, but not enough for me to cite them in the How It Fits section of this Bratabase entry. For example, the straps feel a touch too wide, an unusual occurrence on my petite but broad shoulders. My right boob is the smaller, and as my shoulder pushes the right strap forward, it can create a slight gap where the right cup attaches to the strap. This doesn't show under clothes.

What does show under some clothes is the top line of the cups. The padding in the Danita is not tapered much toward the top of the cups. A thin strip of the same red satin material covering the cups is sewn down at the top edges to finish it off. It looks elegant, but it shows through a lot of knits. The padding isn't pushup, but it feels thicker than the padding in my Fauve padded half cups or my Ewa Michalak 3Ds. The Danita's padding resembles that of Ewa Michalak's Pl Onyks in thickness. The L'Agent cups end so much lower, near the most projected part of my boobs, that the line at the top of the cups is thrust against my top more than in my Ewa 3Ds or Pl, which are higher coverage.

L'Agent by Agent Provocateur is not a particularly high end line. The prices are in the $70 USD range at least partly because of the celebrity associated with the line. I'm not expecting the fine tuned fit detailing typical of, say, Fauve or Prima Donna.

The gore is 2.75" high, which is 1.25" higher than I prefer. However, this bra is exceptionally plush. I feel no stabbing from the gore. It has to be resting on breast tissue the top 1.25," but I can't feel it. The band feels silky. Nothing about this bra needs to be broken in. In cushiness, it resembles the Chantelle Hausmann T-shirt Bra. The Danita is more lightly built and doesn't have the Hausmann's epically thick, blocky feel. The Danita's straps are satiny but have the minuscule amount of adjustability L'Agent by Agent Provocateur keeps foisting on us.

I can forgive the Danita a few idiosyncrasies because of how sexy, beautiful and comfortable the it is.
