Curvy Kate Gia: fail. Then again, Curvy Kate has never worked for me, so I don't know what I was honestly expecting.
I knew this bra ran about a band tight, and was expecting the gore would be too wide, so I intentionally ordered a sister size up from my usual, and went with 32FF, which was clearly a bad idea. (Not as bad an idea as buying it in both blush and black because the price was great, though.)
Not projected enough, band too loose even after the gore alteration (though just barely - it's surprisingly stretchy in blush. I remember the red being quite snug), cups are wider than anticipated at about 5.5 inches, so no better in width than the Freya Ooh La La I just returned for precisely this reason. Barely gives more coverage than the Polish brands I keep disdaining because I need a more full coverage bra to contain my loose skin.
So, yeah, my skin being loose just means all that excess tumbles right out of the bra from every possible escape root, and definitely too small. I think it may actually run a cup small. Hard to say exactly, since I sister sized, but sufficed to say...My boobs were sad. My wallet is sad. There's just a lot of sad going on right now.
I'm trying to decide if there's a size in this bra that might work for me, but the wires being already as wide as they are, I'm afraid going up to the size I would need (which I expect is probably a 30GG, maybe a 32G) will just do the same thing all other brands do at that size - have wires way way way too wide, and cause 'sad boob' (boobs that are pushing down the cup and causing a saggy, unsupported look).
The shape is fairly round, I will say that much for it. I'm probably going to be selling both - the black I haven't even tried on. The blush I'm still considering, but almost definitely going to remove the gore alteration and sell as well.
FML. Back to square one...This bra is not owned any more
