So I also have this one in the 30HH size as well, which was too big in the band and a hair too big in the cups.
The 28H is perfect in the band-It seems to run a bit more snug than typical Curvy Kate, as I would be between a 26 and 28 band, and is exactly the right tightness for my 27-27.5 inch ribcage. The cups in this size are a bit too small, however, and the ribbon cuts in a bit, as well as the spot where the fabric changes from solid to semi sheer, along the seam.
I am pretty sure a 28HH would be perfect in this style, but this one was on eBay and I got a very good deal, so I'll be making it work until I can get something better. Again, the straps are way too wide set for my narrow shoulders, but I'm used to that. They also aren't fully adjustable, and therefore aren't able to go quite tight enough for me. I think Curvy Kate in general is a bit shallow for me, as the wires are a tiny bit wide and I think I need a little more projection, but they are readily available on eBay for cheap, so I take what I can get. (I have a medium-ish root, Panache is waaaay too wide, and Curvy Kate tends to be a little on the wide side, as well. I also have a very small frame with tiny shoulders and a short torso, so maybe this plays into it as well? I might have wide-ish roots for my frame, but because my frame is small, it makes the wide root bras not quite right. And I know my torso may look longish in the photos, but trust me, it's not. When I wear waist belts that are over an inch, they fight with my bra band/underwires. It just looks longer in photos now that I have the right band size, heh.)
Overall, the bra is gorgeous-the 30HH I have is beige, and this one is the wine/grape color way, which my husband agreed looks lovely with my pale (Irish) skin. Overall, even with the strap issues, I'd try it in a 28HH if I could, because it's a lovely bra and reasonably comfortable, plus I love that the band on this particular one (not sure if it's just the color or if it's from their new revamped ones) runs a little tight, since 26 bands are nearly impossible to come by, especially when you have a very limited income and can't order from overseas/from the manufacturers until you have more money.
I took a few points off for comfort mainly for the straps, and the fact that the cup is a bit too small.
