Didn't fit
Despite an imperfect fit, I'm still totally ok with this bra because it's super cute and the inside of the band and cups is comfy. I got it on sale from the company's website where it's now full price again, but I think it's still on sale on Dollskill.com and Revolveclothing.com if you're interested.
First off, their sizing is incredibly limited. This style (and most others) comes in: 32A, 34B, 34C, 34D, and 36DD. The band fits comfortably on me on the tightest hook and is very stretchy, so if they offered a 30 I'd probably go for that in the future. I have widely-spaced, shallow breasts, and the cup spacing is great, cups are a little too wide maybe but it's not so bad since the wire comes up pretty low. I'm starting to think that the Bratabase suggested size for me (30C) might actually be correct (don't mean to doubt, I'm just new here and have never tried on a bra in that size) since the cup cuts into my tissue a bit on the left (larger) breast and kinda pushes me down a bit on both. Realize now that I should've taken an angle pic from the other side to show this but oh well, just take my word for it. The center gore does not at all lie against my sternum as you can see from the pics. I think that this is a cup size issue and not a band issue though because any looser and the band would be too big. That said, I think it's also just because of the style. Although the underwires are not connected in the middle, the lined fabric of the cup continues uninterrupted between the cups, so basically there's no real break for a gore like with most bras.
My boyfriend seemed pretty into it so I'm cool with this purchase. It wouldn't be ideal for me under most tops, but I wore it under a kind of drapey cowl neck and it looked totally fine. It's more of a "hey look at me for a min before taking me off" bra than a practical, everyday bra though anyhow. And we all need a few of those...
Would definitely NOT recommend to women with large breasts, especially those with small band sizes, as the center gore would probably be inches away from the sternum for them and the cups might be too wide. That said, I think that this style could be great for someone with shallow breasts and a wider band size than mine (ie 34A, 36AA etc).Black/Sapphire colorway
