Didn't fit

So I got this bra to wear around the house. It definitely needs to stay at home because the shape it gives it probably the least flattering on me that I've seen yet. Even my old, ill-fitting 32DDDs were more flattering than this bra is. By itself, it's alright looking.

The band is incredibly tight. Like, I needed the full length of an extender and could probably use another set of hooks, tight. The fabric is pretty soft, though perhaps a tiny bit rough to the touch while not being itchy.

The cups though... where do I start?
They're like downward pointing, flattened, east-west torpedoes. The seam along the neckline/top of the cups is a little tight and gives me the slightest quaddage. The gore, of course, doesn't tack. If I scoop my boobs away from eachother, some separation is maintained, but there is absolutely no lift. In fact, I want to say it's flattening my boobs down towards my belly button. The straps are more centered.

The main reason I wanted a soft cup bra, was again, to wear at home. I don't want to wear out my "good" bras by wearing them at home, but I absolutely hate the feeling of my pendulous breasts touching my chest. I need something with a properly sized band (and big enough cups), to keep a barrier there. This bra does serve that purpose.
I almost don't want to keep it because I feel like S/M/L sports bras do a better job of shaping, but I've yet to find one that is tight enough around the underbust while still having room for my breasts.

It's weird. I didn't care so much about the shape when I ordered the bra, since I knew it would only be worn at home. But seeing it on and being used to the shape that Ewa and Cleo give... this is kind of depressing in comparison. It makes me feel like my grandmother.

I feel you sister!!! I tried a similar Royce design after having my first baby, with identical results. Trust me there are better soft cups out there! How small are you around the ribcage? Take a look at the soft cups under my bra list--many of them are dead cheap, very easy to alter in the band, and offer lots of support and uplift even if the shape is pointier than many people would wanna wear outside the house. (Not me though, I'm shameless. Or perhaps fearless. Either way, I don't care!)

  • Ohh, you have some much better looking ones! My underbust is 27.5 BTT and I prefer the band to stretch to 29-29.5. Not afraid of altering though, so I'm totally gunna dig around now! Thanks!

  • The cheapest and easiest to find are definitely the Exquisite Form and the Playtex. 34 bands fit me snugly, I'm about 28.5BTT. EF has two 2-inch elastic bits that would be super easy to remove. You can find Triumph Doreens on ebay from German vendors for about $25--my 34 feels like a 30 so with a small alteration it could probably work for you.

  • Not a very nice shape
