Used to fit

At this point, I feel like either of the Panache sports bras can, in no way, live up to the reputation they've gained online. I can't say I'm *blown away* by this, but I will say I'm happy to have this in my arsenal, both as a sports bra and as a wireless lounge bra.

If you're strictly comparing this to the wired version, based on my experience, I would say the band runs similar while the cups are more TTS. I am now generally wearing a UK 32H/34GG, and this fits. I would definitely not size down in the band, as the 34 was a bit of a struggle to put on (not like, sweating struggle; but it's more snug than I anticipated). However, once fastened, the bra is comfortably firm. The cups fit well. I wouldn't want the cups bigger nor smaller. There is the appearance of slight quadding at top, but I think that is more because I have tissue up top by my collar bone the bra's tight top was cutting into than that the cup is too small. For reference, I've tried a 32GG in the wired version, and I found the band too snug and I was swimming in the cups -- they were one, if not two, cup sizes too large in the 32GG.

Also compared to the wired version, I much prefer the shape this one provides. My girls looked compact and rounded, whereas the wired gave me a weird and splayed east-west look. I would have no problem wearing this one as part of my everyday wear, but I wouldn't with the wired one.

As for functionality, nothing stops The Bounce. Nothing. Your body moves, and so do your boobs. Luckily, my workout routine consists of more walking than running (ok, there is NO running), so this provides adequate support.

My only complaint with the bra is that the straps aren't long enough. Unless they're loosened all the way (and then, even still), I feel stress on my neck and shoulders from the too tight straps. All in all, I wouldn't pay full retail for it, but I am happy to pay what I did for it being on sale.

This bra is not owned any more

  • Does the soft cup separate the way that the wired one is supposed to? I was swimming in the cup for the wired (with the gore not tacking so I was bouncing in the bra), after going down a cup. I really want an encapsulation bra, but I don't know if it's in the cards.

Yes, it does. Though my breasts are already fairly splayed, so I can't say how it would treat breasts which are very close together (if yours are). I definitely recommend giving it a try. Bare Necessities has a fair amount of sizes on sale right now, with the additional 25% off code adding more of a discount. I paid $35 for mine.

You brought a smile of recognition to my face, ginganinja! :)
