I have mixed feelings about Curvy Kate’s aesthetic choices – some of their bras are exquisitely gorgeous, and some of them have horrible clashing colors reminiscent of Cleo. But the Dare is one of the gorgeous ones. The embroidery is beautiful, and the silver metallic thread harmonizes perfectly with the magenta. Granted it’s not very practical, since sometimes you can see hints of it glittering under a thin t-shirt! (Probably why there aren’t more bras out there with metallic thread.) But I love it so much I don’t care.

That being said, the Dare is a bit of a tricky fit. It is narrow, projected and FOT like almost all of CK’s unlined bras in this size, but it has a little less immediate projection than the Portia and Princess, and also less center fullness. Additionally, it’s somewhat closed on top (the diagonal edge, since it’s a plunge), so it needs a pretty specific shape in order to work. Fortunately it works for me; I get some slight wrinkling at the top near the straps on most of my CK bras including this one, but it’s minor enough that it doesn’t bother me. The band is true to size.
