Didn't fit

I got this bra from an online shop in my country that stocks Pour Moi up to J-cup (they don't go any higher in any style). I decided to try their most popular style so I could get an idea of the sizing and fit.

The St. Tropez full cup is a 3 part cup construction that looks more like a balconette than a full-cup. It has quite narrow wires and they don't distort very much. The cups are deep but the most depth is at the apex so they can give a pointy look. They are quite shallow at the bottom and at the center.

My fit issues:
It's obviously too small in the cups. There is not enough room at the center and also on bottom and I get some quadboob in this bra. The band fits nicely and it's quite stretchy. I found that the bra gives decent support, not like a Panache or Bravissimo bra but better than CK. What I like best about it: the wires are just right for me! I'm surprised that this bra has such narrow wires! I don't know if I should try a 34J and check if the cups fit better but I would have to take the band in on that, since the 32 band feels already stretchy enough.

This bra is not owned any more

I think I remember years ago when people first started buying this on Figleaves they mentioned it ran very small in the cups. They are also a bit cheaply made IMO, I have one Pour Moi and the seam placement isn't exactly haute-couture-level haha. So, I agree this cup is a bit closed/ shallow for you but given our conversations about changing size and shape and the anxiety of sizing down, it's enlightening that you can now almost fit in a particularly small 32J cup volume!
I think if you used something to reinforce the band a bit, then loosened the straps more and took barbaric measures (i.e. pull like a maniac) to stretch the cup edging, you could probably get this to contain the whole boob and possibly improve the apex alignment situation (which is likely a bit responsible for pointiness).

  • AprilGoulding yes isn't it pretty!?

wendybien I faced my fear of too small cups and went with my bra calculator size of 32J. I think a 32JJ would be better but I'm also still at my PMS size. I can keep this until next week and see if it fits better once I'm at my "smaller" size again. You really think I could make this work? Or the 34J?

alisa if you're at PMS size yes I'm pretty sure it will be a workable situation at low tide! This really isn't far off. And the fact the wires are a good match is unusual enough to give it another chance next week!
