The Lydia bra is a bandless style designed for a petite silhouette and fuller bust with shorter wires and centre pull straps for narrow shoulders. So it says on Elomis website. While I'm not petite, I do have a fuller bust and narrow shoulders, so I was curious to try this new style.
My shape: tall, narrow to average wide roots, full on top, projected, center heavy
The bra is a basic, everyday style but I love that they added the cut out detail and the charm at the gore to style it up. It looks and feels high quality.
While my usual size is 32J/JJ in Elomi, I couldn't find this style on my online retailer in any 32 bands so I went with the sister size. Apparently this bra comes in 32 bands which I learned here.
The 34HH is a bit large for me in band but it's true to size. The cups are rather deep and wide. They are not super tall like other Elomi styles (Full cups ) but still I wouldn't call them short. The straps are more centred which is nice if you have sloping shoulders like me. The top of the cup features stretchy lace but it is lined with mesh. The wires are more soft and they stretch with wear. They are too wide and soft for me and there is empty fabric on the sides. The cup edge does cut in a bit, but I would not try a size up as the bra is already too wide in this size.
I think in general this bra is a big shape mismatch and would be better for someone with a more full on bottom shape. I don't get much uplift either and my boobs are kinda pushed down by the top section. It's similar in look on me like Bravissimo Melrose (another fot-unfriendly bra) or Elomi Caitlyn. While I know most Elomi bras are made for a more fob shape - I think their banded plunges like Matilda and Charley can work if you find the right size (for me it means sizing up and tighten the band and straps more) but the Elomi full cups / bandless bras are too much of a shape mismatch for my shape.
