Oh Freya, what are you doing?!? You're killing me with your inconsistencies.
* For instance, this Idol Allure Balcony is NOTHING like the Idol Strapless! It may look the same, with fish-net covered cups and flat lace trim... but this is a different creature altogether! The strapless version is projected with narrower wires. This one is very shallow with wide wires. (For reference, I am slightly FoT but functionally FoB, with short/average root height. Short torso, but average build.)
* The cups caused a strange buckling at the wire, and require tall roots (caused me gaping under the firmly formed cups). And they're way too tall for a short torso! Armpit pain from both the straps and the sides of the cups.
* Not surpringly, the wires are also crazy long. They sat low on my ribs, but also tall into the armpits and into the gore. (My close-set shape can't handle a gore taller than 2".)
* The restricted stretch straps are only partially adjustable, and the front splits into two narrow straps. They are sufficiently long enough in standard position; however, they're not even close to long enough when the J-hook is attached! Also, when wearing with the J-hook connected, the front straps lay on top of each other. Instant chafing, painful red marks at the base of the neck!
* The J-hook is part of the hardware that secures the end of the straps, where the slide buckle adjusts the length. It is not a separate piece, and can not be slid down separately towards the middle of the back.
* On the plus side, the band is true to size.
