Take two at trying to get a black mesh with pink/red embroidery bra that fits! While not perfect, it might be workable.
The biggest issue is that the straps are WAY too wide apart, especially in the back. You can see in my back picture how the straps are practically at my sides where they come out at the band, and then angle in towards each other at my shoulder. If I didn't have such prominent ends of my collar bones, these straps would have nothing to catch on and would fall off. They are quite apart in the front as well, and if I'm not standing with hands on hips, my arms hit the straps and push the cup open to gap.
The second issue is overall cup shape vs. my breast shape. I have somewhat pointy, upside-down 7 shaped breasts. So lots of immediate projection, but much less lower fullness than upper fullness. I have a tall root that gradually tapers. On the other hand, the shape of this cup is very round and meant for shorter roots than I have. So I settle in the bottom of the cup, can't fill out the top part of the cup, and then the top edge of the cup cuts into my root.
What was most surprising to learn in trying on this bra is just how much of a difference I have between right and left breast! I suspect that my left breast just needs a cookie under it to push my upper fullness to fill out the upper portion of the bra. But my right breast? Doesn't fill it out nearly as much! A cookie wouldn't be enough, as it doesn't seem like it has enough projection to touch the apex of the cup. I will try with cookies and see it's enough, otherwise, I might just have to alter the cup shape.
Another issue is overall underwire shape. It is very U shaped, in the sense that it's rounded and deep, but also in the sense that it's pretty level in height across the top. Both the gore and wing measure to be 3" high. Usually underwires are taller at the side, so this is an interesting first I've seen in a bra. Not sure if this was intentional, as they could have designed the bra for very rounded close-set breasts that need help being separated, and then scaled it down. Or maybe they didn't tilt the wire when drafting the pattern. Either way, I do not need such separation, and with my taller roots, the underwire shape ends up causing the gore to dig in at my sternum while allowing some breast tissue to escape on the sides.
This list makes the bra seem horrible, but it's not all bad! The strap length is great, allowing a lot of height variation. The band is very nicely firm, so shouldn't stretch out too quickly. Also, I can barely stretch it from me at all and yet it's still comfortable. This means it runs tight for a 30, as it only stretches to 29.5 inches, so if you are a true 30, definitely size up in band. But it works for me! Fabric is beautiful, I don't believe I could quite capture it on camera. The cups are entirely covered in an embroidered black mesh. Photo online made me believe it was going to be more red, but the flowers are a neon warm fuchsia, and leaves more of a dusty burgundy. A nit-picky detail is that the bow is very obviously a more purple/berry color, which doesn't match the two reddish-pinks.
It sounds like a tall order, but if I am able to make the cups slightly less round, tighten the underarm elastic, lower the gore, and move the straps in, it would be perfect. As it is, I might just loosen the straps all the way and wear it racer back for now.
When ordering this bra, I basically had to guess size as there aren't a lot of Adore bras on Bratabase. It's surprising, as they have a lot of pretty embroideries and are (relatively) inexpensive. I went with what I order from Kris Line and other Polish companies, even though I'm not entirely sure where they're from. I'm in between 28 and 30 bands right now depending. Luckily, the band size was correct, and while the cups aren't perfect, it's most likely a shape issue than size issue. If I would have sized down, I would be cutting in even more on top and spilling out the sides more. Knowing shape of cup now, I probably won't order from them again, but definitely recommend if you have round breasts with medium to short root height!
(Quick note, added this to database, not sure if it's style 3770 like Brastop says, or 3025 as the back of the tag sewn into the bra says.)
