Didn't fit
Update: of course I grew even more since this bra was deemed Unfit For Use, added the new measurements into bratabase.
BB now thinks I should try this in 28G. Right. The one style that's been completely contrarian by squashing and sagging at once /facepalm.
Edit: I was Today Years Old, when a helpful poster here enlightened me.
Just as 'Side Support' is not code for 'Good for super side full'; 'Full Coverage' is NOT code for 'Good for really full breasts'. God how I HATE bra advertising they are such asshats. Anyways, on to the review...
This one and their Ana kept coming up in the back of my mind of potential suspects for short/even on top/fob/side full containment, when compared to other styles, somehow never crossed them off the list. Because of course, it's been a better performer than a whole LOT of other things in the market. Maybe this time?
We knew better and yet...
Here we are again, chat.
How many times am I going to have to learn the hard way. If it says side support the only thing it's gonna support, is the brand's profit line.
This fit in this one screams in capital italics: 'There is literally nothing for every-immediate-depth-on-earth level, generally full people'. I don't know guys, are all bras only for extremely soft malleable tissue? is there not a support option for well rounded figures? What. Is. Going. On. Out. Here.
Because I'm old, ready to size ///down/// to something sane, after having to size up a trillion cups; and beyond tired of this exact same fit in everything.
While the cups shape is not painful (rare), it feels uncomfortable/off and is beyond fugly: bunching, stretching, straining, fussing around my breasts and generally acting insane. Baggy just above the center, while being just barely deep enough for my wildly shallow inner breast, then lower cup pushes my underboob upward where is spills horizontally- where there was already no room to spare on either side, & forces more pressure into the armpit and gore (certainly never lifting anything up to create any kind of roundness that would fill out the weirdly tight &flat nasty upper band with it's pinching strip of sharp elastic!).
The lower part of the cup is much smaller than the same size lower cup pieces in a few similar patterns I've bought, just narrower, shorter, pointier, all of it. The gappy shape above nips is a narrow, frown-shaped crescent that sags, between the lower and upper parts of the cup. Any material that is pushed below cannot go pulled up for long, as it shifts right back down with a speed that rivals a cat in a rainstorm.
All sides around the cup are tight and cut in for a couple inches inward from hems to just above center where upper and lower cup join, and almost look like they should have a little baggy extra space, but it's just much too shallow and somewhat tall so that area pulls taut & sags down, or flips up. Thankfully my completely pancaked lower breast does not reach high enough to create classic madonna cones in that pouch, as has happened with some other designs (typical fit in chantelle, fantasie, cleo etc etc).
I want to blame the wire for the ill fit in the cup, because my god what ails these things!? However I'm not angry at them as they neither sit on my boobs or push the cup away from them, for once it's not their size or shape (must be that these are those high octane, ultra-reinforced rebar type).
The frame of the bra is also perfect in fit and width, but the decorative lace band flops up and proves itself utterly useless.
Material is soft, pretty as in images, is not especially durable and I know from many years working with lingerie textiles this will pill and the elastane yarns will snap leaving nasty looking little dingy strings all over the upper. The cup's construction is light airy and delicate-looking rather than heavy duty stoic as the panels would suggest. I 'd rather not nitpick the straps and band to death but they carry a decidedly matronly, dowdy sort of energy when paired with the pretty 'minecraft status effect' design lace. I'm fantastically irate about the miserly little hooks. There's something almost spiteful about the panache will to at once acknowledge yes, we will be creating a large enough cup, while also flipping us the bird and use these consistently insecure, weird cheapo kooky closures.off white lace colorway
