The length of the straps combined with the lack of gore and absence of side support = a bra that does not seem to actually hold up my breasts.
- Straps adjustment:
- Straps don't adjust short enough
- Top of the cup:
- Wrinkles, can't quite fill it

Didn't fit
Of the 6 Japanese bras I bought and chose to keep on my most recent size change, oh, Embellir--you are the problem child.
This bra was on Shirohato's site for 85% off, marked down to 500 yen, which was such a steal on such a cute bra I could not say no. Getting the thing and trying it on, I can see why--there's no gore on this bra, which isn't necessarily a problem by itself, but unlike the other similarly constructed La Vie A Deux bra I got--Infiorare--there's no extra side-support versus a regular JP bra, and the side slings stop at the top of the cup instead of going through and behind it. That means you don't have that side support to make up for the loss of gore. On top of all that, the slings that jut out at the top lengthen the straps by almost an extra third next to my other JP bras. Ironically, this is probably the true actual biggest structural flaw in the bra--they don't hold the cups in place on my torso, so cup on my smaller breast just kind of... wants to flop over.
That said, the story has a fairly happy ending; I grabbed a racerback clip for this bra, and because of the design of the top of the straps--two narrower straps connected through a clip to the adjuster on the back, rather than one thick one--you can actually slide two straps through the clip and leave the other two "normal" on your shoulders. This totally fixes the fit of the bra for me and turns it from "barely better than a boob hat" to "an actually supportive bra," plus gives it quite an attractive cross-cross shape on the back. Very happy to say so, as it's very cute outside of it's design flaws!Red colorway
