This isn't a very full coverage bra, but not a demi either. Very stretchy fabric and wide set straps. Fabric is very soft and feels nice, but just didn't love this. Looks a little grandma on me. The seams over the cups also don't lie smooth. So it is going back!
So, long story, but I accidentally purchased this bra one size too small (I should have purchased a US 32G). However, even though the 32F is very definitely a cup size too small (as pictures attest), I am going to be bad and keep it because I like the shape it gives me under shirts, the gore tacks just fine, and the quad boob doesn't bother me enough to try to exchange it at the boutique where I bought it. Shhh, don't judge. https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_smile.gif" alt=":)" />
I have not heard much about this brand at all--only a couple of reviews on Bratabase--but I ended up ...really loving it! This bra is crazy comfortable. The soft, smooth material feels wonderful. For some reason I find the Deco stiff and painful beyond all reason so this is a refreshing alternative for a thicker moulded bra (as opposed to the thinner tshirt bras like Fantasie Rebecca). I like the modern, understated mesh side panels (and especially the mesh-panelled matching short!!). This bra is a very slight pushup--the foam is thicker at the bottom of the cup and then gets gradually thinner towards the top, which makes the bra nicely invisible under shirts.
Even though I was able to stretch it out quite a bit when I took measurements, the 30-inch band I originally tried felt tight enough that I sized up to a 32. This bra also seems to be a style that would work very, very well for shallow shapes--I'm probably a little bit too projected for it.
Anyway, maybe if there is a sale in the future I'll track down the correct size someday. Read more 169 more words
This bra fit fine but I wasn't excited by it. The upper part is sheer mesh, the lower part is opaque. One really good thing about this bra is that the cups are really low coverage for a full cup bra. They're even low cut for a UK brand balconette bra. If this had been the first fitting bra I had ever found, I'd be delighted with it.
It seemed practical enough for a nude for me bra, except the seams were kind of prominent. I thought it would show under clothing too much. I have enough bras that do that.
I did like that the underwires go up fairly ...high under my arms. I also liked the boning on the side wings. I felt that the bra pushed my side tissue effectively. The straps were very cushy.
The profile was not very different from the shape I get without a bra. Without a bra my boobs are even, in terms of top/bottom fullness, and perky. I want a bra that does something different to my boobs. I left it at the store. Read more 73 more words
I finally found a beige, smooth, molded, seamless t-shirt bra.
I can't believe I am getting a good shape from a partial band bra. Even though I quad a bit, it doesn't show under thin clingy tops. so I'm happy. I normally wear 30 bands, but this 32 band is tight enough on me. It is tight enough to push my firm breasts around, in this case to the front and center. It is not, however, as tight as a Cleo 30 band.
If Ewa Michalak were making a t-shirt bra, I'd probably already have one of hers, if it were a plunge with low coverage ...cups. The Addiction seamless plunge has pretty low cups, though, just like the Addiction full cup bra I also reviewed.
I found this line, Addiction Lingerie, in the Addiction boutique in San Francisco. I had never heard of this brand.
The straps are partially adjustable. Luckily they go short enough for me, even though I'm petite. The straps are thick and soft if institutional looking. On the lower third outside of the cup is a very thin layer of mesh, which barely shows under a really tight top.
The wires go high under my arms and there is side boning. I feel that this bra deals quite firmly with my side tissue. It's a pretty cleavagey bra, even for my super firm tissue.
On the 32F size, it has 3 rows of hooks and eyes. The rows are really close together, compared to most brand's 3x3 rows. It's not sexy or pretty, but boy do I need this bra.
It has removable pads, which are plastic packets half filled with water. I've never seen pads like that! If I leave the pads in, I quad boob severely.
This is kind of a dark beige color with a not particularly attractive greenish gray cast. It will however function as a nude bra for me.
The manufacturer's product photos show the model NOT wearing the wires in her inframammary fold. This is NOT how I wear it. My fit checklist and my review are of the bra properly adjusted and after scooping and swooping. Read more 249 more words
I'll be interested in pictures, because a t-shirt bra is one of the few that I'm seriously lacking. Thanks for the heads up!
I've been eyeing this bra on Journelle's site for a while, thanks for the review! It looks like it's miles too wide in the cup for me, oh well.
Lynn, I'll get pictures up quickly. It took me years to find a workable t-shirt bra, so I know how you feel.
Saphiro, your comment about wire width prompted me to remeasure. When worn, the Addiction bra places the wires under my arms in about the same spot my five or so EM 3Ds do. How was its width measurement so different from the Ewa Michalaks'? The latter brand is not known for super wide wires, even in my size range.
I confirmed my Ewa Michalak 3D cups hew closely to 5.25" in width, but the Addiction cups are actually 5.875" wide. My initial width measurement was 6.3" or perhaps 6.25" if Bratabase rounded up.
When I initially measured the new bra, I was in a dark room. I probably shouldn't have been in such a rush to get the measurements up, but there were so few Addiction entries and none of this model, I wanted anyone sharing my frustrations in the t-shirt bra search to have this resource. I've retaken all the measurements. The bra isn't as stretchy as I thought it was, so it is indeed a tight 32 band. The cup depth is actually 9" instead of my initial 8.5" if you go for the absolute deepest part, which is close to the upper edge of the cups. The other measurements were pretty much on target. I apologize for the data errors.
If 5.875" is still too wide a cup for you, you could take in the gore, which is merely a strip of elastic fabric. You could narrow it by almost half an inch. This would bring the wires, where they fall under your arms, closer toward the front of your body. I do not recommend this alteration if you need a wider gore or if you don't want to escalate your cleavage. This alteration would also make the neckline more covered up, so you'd be exposing less boob. This might defeat the purpose of a plunge bra if you were wearing a neckline that was both extremely low-cut and somewhat wide.
Okay, Lynn, I added pictures. This one I can take additional photos and measurements, if you want.
This bra is super cute! I love the lace details and the fit is very nice. The bands on this brand run small and the cups run large. My target size is up one band size and down a cup size for this model (32D). I would have twenty if these bras if I could! They are super sexy and comfortable and provide great cleavage.
I liked this bra a lot in the store, but after only two wears the bottoms of the cups have crinkled and the gore has a wrinkle in the center. It's wearable as a plain Tshirt bra, but I wouldn't buy it again. - Update: I loathed this bra. It became unwearable so quickly, it's not comfy, and it's only invisible under the bulkiest of sweaters.
This bra is marked as a US 30E and FR 80E, which is 30:5. I purchased it thinking it was a 30:6, so this did not fit me at all. I think it may even run small for a 30DD. Even without the padding I was busting out more than I usually do in 30DDs. However, the bra seems really nice and even though the straps are kind of far apart, it's very soft and didn't bother me at all.
This bra seems very full coverage. I am more petite and tend to not like bras that cover this much. I thought this was a demi? (Which I would say it absolutely is not) Fabric is nice and microfiber-y. Maybe a little thick for my liking. The padding inside is graduated from thin at the top to slightly thicker at the bottom of the cup - nothing overly gratuitous. Band seems fairly snug.
I think this look good, even with the slight quadboob. I'm totally not judging you for keeping it! And it's going to be useful under thin tops!
