This bra has been good so far. It's soft against the skin which makes it easier to wear. It does stretch out some. I started off on the loosest hook and it was a tight fit, but after 2-3 wears it's stretched a bit so that it's more comfy to wear. I enjoy all of the hooks that is has on the back, it feels as though the band is more secure this way. I don't know about the quality yet as it's a fairly new bra, but I am concerned that the lace detail might be prone to pilling.
My daily go-to bra was the DKNY 453200 Fusion TShirt bra in 32DD, which has been discontinued [ boooo >https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_sad.gif" alt=":(" /> ]; this bra is a solidly decent replacement in both fit and comfort. I went into the Aerie store on a lark (aka went to the mall for the A/C) and was unable to find my usual size of 32DD in any style, so I tried the 32DDD, in nude as that was the only color in that size and who doesn't need another nude bra... The cups fit very similarly to the DKNY 32DD, though the wires ...at the outer top of the cup hit about 1/2" further back into my armpits. Because of this I don't think I fully fill the top of the cup most of the time, but only by a negligible amount, and at no loss of comfort other than it's different than what I've been wearing for the last 3 years. The gore tacks comfortably, the straps aren't too far apart, and adjust short enough for me. The material is very comfortable and it has quite a wide band which sits perfectly. Just based on the way it fits now, I'm sure I would get quadboobing from a 32DD. Since I *just* bought this, I'll adjust the review after I've taken it around the block a few times, but so far feels like a pretty good fit. They have a lot of color options for this bra, presumably online and not in-store, but I love that you're not relegated to black or nude for a tshirt bra.
*EDIT* after a couple years - this one is still holding up, though I don't wear it too often. The fit above is still accurate and it's objectively comfortable, but I think I wear it a lot less due to the wideness of the wires under the arms. It's not at all a bust for the price, it just doesn't fit how I need it to to be a favorite, I have yet to try other sizes. Read more 245 more words
This has got to be a 34A masquerading as a 30C. The cups are gapping unless i adjust the straps then the band rides up. The band seems to be way bigger than my other 30 bands at 26inches and it stretches up to 34inches! not sure if all their 30 bands are like this or this was just made wrong but I'm returning it. I wish it fit because its very soft and comfy.
It’s a good spot between my different boobs: a biiit small for my big boob and a biit big for my small boob. I don’t want to only fit my big boob and have to worry about padding my small boob. Especially since I have a massive (~5cm) fibroadenoma in my big boob which I want to eventually vaporize and therefore my bigger boob will shrink. (I know from past experience.)
The biggest problem would be the wires don’t cup the full width of my wide roots. Also the straps are weirdly borderline short. If I don’t scoop and swoop the band feels really tight. After wearing this for a bit, my boobs un-scoop-n-swoop, especially my smaller one, causing gapping. I reckon the cups are too narrow for my wide roots so they fall out.
I love the really soft fabric. I’m not a fan of the long lace because it doesn’t sit flat on me and it adds two additional hooks in the back. I like how wide the wires are but ultimately I don’t think the cups are right for my conical shape.

The fabric on this is SO SOFT. The band is tight for a 30, fits more like a 28. I like how wide the wire is, but overall the bra does not fit me well, likely due to the push up padding.

I bought this bra ages and ages ago, and I haven't gotten rid of it only because it's so sensible and smooth, the straps cross in the back, and it's the only plain black bra I own. It doesn't fit that well, and I rarely wear it out. The molded shape combined with the lack of underwire means that I slip around (if I lay down sideways, the top boob always escapes into the center). The cups are far too wide and flatten me sideways in an unflattering way. If your boobs are much shallower or wrap around under your arms more, or if you enjoy having your boobs spread across across your chest instead of separated and forward-facing, then this bra might be a good choice. Despite the numerous fit issues, it persists in my closet. One of life's little mysteries, I suppose.
It's a bra for days where I've given up. I don't fill out the cups completely since they come up so high, but sizing down would probably not fit. The issue is helped with a strap clip, which brings the straps closer together and the top of the cup more flush with my body. The band is disintegrating after years of wear but still has enough support to use occasionally. The construction is soft, the fabric is silky and cooling, and the texture is very smooth under shirts. Doesn't do the best job of concealing nips since the cups are so lightly padded, but that's not what I use it for anyway.
(Please note that this review is for a version of this bralette that I believe is being discontinued by Aerie; the current listing for the same item name, "Eyelash Lace *Padded* Plunge Bralette" [not "Eyelash Lace Plunge Bralette" as listed here] notes that the current version is "new and improved". Posting review in case I ever list these or people are looking for info on others' resale listings.) I'm full on bottom, really projected, need narrow wires, am very center full, and petite in height and shoulder width...so I never in a million years thought I'd find a bralette that fit, but I love this one! I have ...it in 5 colors and lived in them for like 2 years during the pandemic. They are SO comfortable, and the only downside for me is incompatibilty with some clothing - the lace is very visible through clothes, some necklines show the straps in front which I'm not into, and both the top edge of the solid inner cup fabric and front cup seams can show through as well. These fit me well now, as well as when I was 10 lbs heavier - I take a "Medium DD" in these and wear them without the included pads. For reference I'm 5'1", 132 lbs, and currently find Ewa Michalak BMs in 75F or Panache Envy in 32FF to be near perfect fits. Super comfortable and stretchy band that is somehow still supportive - though I do fasten the band on the second set of hooks to start. Oddly the Cosabella bralettes have never been a good match for me but I love these!
Measurement notes: Cup width = measured from top of gore, inside cup seam, across to seam line at solid fabric cup edge near wing. Cup depth = with cup held over knee, over outer lace portion of cup (inner fabric could not get a good measurement) measured from top of gore inside cup seam to inside seam line of solid fabric near cup wing Wire length = Beginning just inside cup elastic at gore, at bottom edge of top edge gore elastic, down to top edge of cup bottom elastic (corner), then across bottom of cup edge elastic to inner edge of outer solid fabric cup seam (corner), then up to bottom edge of band top edge elastic Cup height = with cup held over knee, over outer lace portion of cup (inner fabric could not get a good measurement) measured along center cup seam from inner surface of bottom solid fabric seam to top edge of solid fabric Gore height = from very top edge of gore I including elastic width, at gore midpoint downward to include underbust elastic width, but not including eyelash lace trim along band as it provides no support Cup separation = including elastic width at edge of cups, at narrowest point of gore, which is at the bottom for these bralettes. Wing height = length of outer edge of solid cup lining fabric, including width of elastic upper and lower band edging, but not upper or lower eyelash lace trim. Lace trim adds about 1.5-2" wide on bottom. Strap width = Width, including width of elastic trims but not eyelash lace, at fold point around O-ring where front straps attach to back slider strap portion. (Chosen to represent the majority portion of the strap, rather than measuring the width of the plain slider strap at strap back. Slider straps are 1/2" wide.) Read more 463 more words
I love love love the cup fitment, color, and design! But whenever I find a strapless with good cup fitment, the band always feels like it's cracking my ribs https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_sad.gif" alt=":(" /> I added my measurements -- despite the relatively stretchy measurement I got for stretched band, I've never worn this bra more than about 20 minutes since I purchased it. But the cup fitment is so good I'm torn on getting rid of it.
Edit 2022: I had this bra altered by stitching the cups closer together at the gore, because the center gore was just too wide. Otherwise, everything still fits, might even be fitting better now. The fabric is super stretchy so that definitely helps, but it still has some amount of support.
Everything fits very well except for the center gore. It's just too far apart and sitting right on my breast tissue(my boobs are about 1.5 fingers apart). I'm going to get it tailored so hopefully it'll fit better. The center gore being far apart does seem to be a general trend for most aerie bras. The bra itself is very soft, well-made, and pretty. The band runs smaller(I'm 30E but sister sizing) so it's actually not loose at all.
This is my first bra purchase since discovering my true size of 30D/30DD using the A Bra That Fits calculator. With that being said, this particular bra is a sister size for my measurements and it fit good enough for me to want to bring it home. Had there been a 30D in stock at the store I would have loved to try it! Regardless, this bra was exactly what I wanted in a bra after being fitted into too large bands my whole life and wearing only bralettes for the last 6 years.
I find that the band is quite snug on the loosest setting for a 32, ...so it definitely runs small in the band. That has started to relax some after the bra has seen about 20 hours of wear and I expect to move to the next set of hooks very soon. I also find the fabric to be absolutely delightful, very soft and buttery with enough stretch to allow the molded cup shape to be a little more forgiving and flexible.
The gore is quite comfortable and tacks very nicely for me. Having never experienced a gore tacking properly before this was a pleasant "secure" type of feeling, not too firm. The wires do not poke me on either end, and I find the wires wide enough for my (I'm fairly sure) wider root shape. I also do not find the wires to be too stiff.
The pushup effect is lovely! Gives nice cleavage without being "too much". I would say it's moderate, meaning not a little or a lot but somewhere in the middle of what I think a pushup can do. This is exactly why I chose this bra even though it's not in my measured size, it gave me my preference in amount of cleavage without being uncomfortable or causing me to spill out.
One of the issues I have with this bra is the width of the straps being just a tad too wide for me. This is probably more so due to my petite frame than a fault of the bra, and I do understand that demi straps will be attached out on the sides of the cups intensifying the wider strap placement.
Another issue I have noticed is once the bra has been on for about a half hour I start to get gapping at the top of the cups where the straps attach if I do not keep very good posture or if I reach forward. It is not extreme gapping to the point where I feel this bra is a bad fit, but it's definitely there. I find it odd that it only becomes an issue once I've had it on for a little while and as far as I can tell the band has not shifted, the cups have not slid up or down, all of my tissue is still in the cups and the straps are comfortably snug. I know this could be because the height of my roots are shorter and I possibly don't have enough fullness up top or I may be a little too projected for the cups. I am wondering if my body heat relaxes the material after a little while and it's stretching more than when it's room temperature?
All in all, this isn't going to be a holy grail bra for me but for the price (and that it was easy to source locally in store) it is a good bra and I am happy with it. I will say projected and short root height breasts should be cautious of the fit even though it's a half cup, but it may still work for you! Read more 503 more words
