For reference, My ideal measurement is somewhere between a 28C/D with 27.5" underbust and 31.5" bust. This is probably one of the better fitting bras that I have ordered and that fits so far.
My biggest complaint about the bra is that the band and the straps are very stretchy and therefore fits closer to my previous 32As. I'm currently wearing this on the tightest hook and the band fits fine, but has a very very slight tendency to gap away from the bottom if I lift my arms up above my head and stretch.
A cool feature this bra has is a little hook that can convert ...the straps into an X back, as I have done for the photos. This has definitely helped to shorten the straps a little because I have the straps on the shortest setting, so the bra tends to fit much better with the X back.
The gore sits right against the sternum...and maybe a little too well. Just a slight dig-in to the ribs but other than that, extremely comfortable.
If this came in a 28C I would be all over it. Probably going to get it altered to shorten band & straps. Very cute bright pink color and nice satiny texture, will be a great t-shirt bra.
***Update 10/14/13 cups too small now!****
It appears I have have had slight tissue migration over the past 3 weeks and also altered the band of the bra so it is about an inch tighter. Now after the scoop & swoop unfortunately I'm quadboobing on my larger breast on one cup and the cups, although the right shape, are now just too small to fit me perfectly https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_sad.gif" alt=":(" /> ******************* Read more 180 more words
I saw on Bratabase that this Hannah bra also had very similar fit to the Aerie Blake bra, so I decided to try it out. Well, the fit is similar, but the main difference is that...
...the top seam of the cup digs in much more than the Blake! This bra is definitely meant for the shallower of the 30B/28C with a little more on bottom and a little flatter projection in the middle. Whereas the cups on the blake were just a hair roomier on top, the cups on these were a little shallower and shorter, and dug into my breast tissue and caused some minor quadboob.
As ...with other Aerie bras, the band is extremely stretchy and could definitely serve a 32. I'm on the last hook and also on the shortest strap setting. Luckily this bra has an X back option which does help a little, but makes the cups feel even smaller https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_sad.gif" alt=":(" />
Bra quality is very cute, but just a hair too small and shallow in cups even for shallow me. For reference, my ideal size is around a 28C/D with a 27.5" underbust and a 31.5" bust. Read more 90 more words
I love the really soft fabric. I’m not a fan of the long lace because it doesn’t sit flat on me and it adds two additional hooks in the back. I like how wide the wires are but ultimately I don’t think the cups are right for my conical shape.
The fabric on this is SO SOFT. The band is tight for a 30, fits more like a 28. I like how wide the wire is, but overall the bra does not fit me well, likely due to the push up padding.
I have 4 Aerie Katie bras in 2 colors and 3 sizes. I have two nude 32As, a coral lace 32A, and a nude 30B. All the 32As fit about the same. They are shallow, full coverage bras that fit me like a glove, but the bands are just way too big for me, so I eventually got the 30B. I'm not sure if this is because my 32As are so old or because of Aerie's size differences or just a change in the way Aerie makes their bras, but the 30B has stiffer molding and is more projected and FOB. There is some noticeable empty space in the bottom of the 30B compared to the 32As, and the top part of the cup feels a little shallower. The apex of the cup feels more wide-set, and the cups feel shorter, though I'm not sure if this is actually true. All in all, I'll still wear the 30B because the molding makes the fit issues less noticeable and the 30 band provides a little support.
I really like the fit of the seasonal Hannahs in 30B. They're a little bit flat and a little bit wide and a little bit perfect for someone small like me. The only problem with the Hannah is that I think its target consumer is a younger girl who prefers a competitively priced/lower quality/more disposable bra.
The foam feels really cheap (thin, light, airy, very soft and smashy. BUT, I do have a very well-worn Hannah that seems just about as thin and as smashy as a new one, so I guess flimsy wears well!), fabrics are sort of flimsy (sometimes it's sheer as a byproduct of being loosely ...and cheaply knit cloth. Not sure if it's a layer underneath, or just the elastic shining through), and the patterns are always sort of silly and embarrassing for a full grown woman to be seen in (think too-bright colors, 3-d metal bits that show under shirts, unrefined polka dot color combos, cheap looking lace). Oh well. Beggars can't be choosers!
My best aerie fit is in a 30B Hannah, and this one is no exception. The "padding" is a thin piece of light, airy foam. Thick enough to give a little bit of shape and to hide things when it gets cold, but a completely natural look. The shape is perfect for wider or less projected breasts. Unlike the cotton Hannahs with trim at the top of the cup, these seasonal models are open and don't cut in. Thought I'd like to see these available in more grown-up colors/patterns or with a higher quality fabric, I really love the Hannah, and hope it never goes away! Read more 165 more words
Ordered this in a 30B and 30C since I'm still trying to figure out my size (and they were having a buy 1 get 1 half off, so it seemed like a good time to try out multiple options). While I think the 30C fits better, I think that this is just not a good style for my shallow shape. The cup cuts into my larger left breast. Low-cut styles usually seem to be good for me so it's a bit puzzling. I think it's that it's low cut but also very curved in at the top. The next size up is ...definitely better for me (gore lies flat in 30C and not in 30B), but the style is still problematic. In both sizes I fill out the cup completely but still quadboob on the larger side (less in the 30C). For more details on how the size up fits, please see my review on that size. That's probably a better representation of why the style doesn't work for me considering that I think the size is better for me.
Other more general notes: I got it in charcoal heather and I think that it's really pretty and simple. The black edging and bow are nice subtle contrasting touches. The fabric (cotton I think) is really nice and soft. The band runs a bit large for a 30 I think (stretches to almost 32 by my measurement) and was very comfortable. That said, it wasn't very tight on me (27.5-28 in underbust) so I can't really speak to how it would feel if it were, though the fabric is soft so I suspect that it would still be quite comfy. All in all a great everyday bra if the style worked better.
This band feels like it fits ok on the second hook, but is very stretchy. The biggest problem is that the cups are too close together and the wires are too narrow and dig in at the sides. This causes the cups to gape at the top. Returning!
This bra is super soft and fits well, except I feel the underwires are not completely encasing my breast tissue at the sides (feels like it's digging in a bit). The band does fit like a true 30 and feels comfortably snug on the second hook. I think a 30C would work better for me, which is suprising...but I am filling this one out well and the slightly wider wires of a C might work better if the cups aren't too deep for me.
This bra was only okay for me. The underwire poked in under my arms and at the sternum. It does not come in 30C or I would have tried that. It is plain. The band was comfortable.
Fits well for shallow breasts. Band is a tiny bit stretchy/big but that's expected for my 27'' ribs. Doesn't cut in at the top like many of their other bras do on me.
After wearing 32AA and 34AA bras, this is the first bra I've found to fit. It isn't perfect, it fits but the shape isn't fantastic-omg-amazing on me. The top of the cups kind of just lay on top instead of shaping to my breast due to having teardrop shaped bottom heavy breasts.
