Seems this bra follows the "add 4 inches" rule. I'm a 30D, tried on a 32C in this style and found the band WAY too tight (as a note, their 32C in bra styles made of cotton fit perfectly fine). I swapped it for a 34B and found it fit me perfectly. I have small breasts, only about 2 inches of projection with a conical shape. I have issues finding bras that are shallow and wide enough, but this one really hit the mark. The demi cut means I don't have the issue of cup gapping as I normally due (I have somewhat short roots), and the wires are ...wide enough to encompass all of my breast tissue. There is the tiniest bit of lacing at the top of the bra that I thought may not make it t-shirt friendly, but so far so good. The reason I can't call this bra a favorite is primarily that the band is incredibly firm. Couldn't wait to take it off once I got home. It only stretches to 32 inches so you'll definitely need to size up on the band here if you are a true 34. Although the bra itself is cute, I'm not a huge fan of how flat it makes me look. You can see in the photos my chest looks incredibly shallow. Weirdly enough I still feel the underwire hangs a bit low. I took it off after a day and found underwire marks below my IMF.
EDIT: After wearing it 2-3x a week for about 2 weeks I found that even though the band feels firm on the loosest hook, I can still comfortably use the tightest. It just cuts into my fat a tiny bit more. Nothing unbearable. Read more 180 more words
I have a 29" underbust but wear aerie bras in 32C or 34B since they usually run tight. I found a pair of these on Poshmark and figured I'd give them a try. Unlike most aerie bras this season, the bra is primarily cotton, so the band is soft and stretchy (or maybe the previous wearer stretched them out?). The cups are a bit big but nothing that I can't work with. Unsurprisingly these fit exactly like the 36A bras I'd been wrongly wearing for the last 10 years - They don't fit perfectly but are good enough. If you find this bra somewhere I'd recommend trying this out in your true bra size or one band size larger.
This review is for the Real Me Unlined bra made of nylon and elastane.
Woah! Out of 8 bras I tried on today, this one was the only one that really worked, and I love it. I didn't have much hope when I picked it out because unlined bras don't usually work for my conical, wide shape (the ones I've tried are either all too projected or narrow). I gave this one a try because I really wanted a burgundy bra, and I ended up pleasantly surprised! When first trying it on I did notice a lot of wrinkling, but after swooping and scooping I manged to fill in the cups ...just fine. It's soo comfortable, and one of the best fits I've found so far. The (un)lining of the cups is stretchy so I'm sure this would work for those with more projection than I have. Despite what the other reviews say, I found the cups to be too close-set for me. With the cup separation only at 1 inch, there is wrinkling at the center because my breasts are further apart (separated by about 4 fingers). Wrinkles at the top of the bra too but I'm used to that with my short roots using full coverage cups. The underwire width and length are perfect for me. My left breast is larger than the right, so I find with a lot of bras that if the underwire is too tall it cuts into my breast tissue on the left. This one fits well enough that it doesn't bother me. Because it's an unlined bra, nipples can be seen when it's cold out. I'm enjoying wearing it to lounge around the house. Provides a bit of shape for my conical breasts, but not enough that I can wear it under a tight shirt. I tried on the Real Me Lightly Lined bra hoping that it would fit the same but it didn't. I tried a 34B because with aerie bras I'm either 32C or 34B, depending on the firmness of the band. I have a 29" underbust and can use all 3 hook lengths with no trouble. May go back and try on a 32C to see if it fits better, but for now this one will definitely do! Read more 264 more words
Aerie was having a huge sale and I saw this bra for $15 so I bought hoping it would be right between the Sunnie lightly lined and the Sunnie push up. For reference the Sunnie lightly lined is my go to bra for everyday wear and the push up fits well but really heaves the boobs up, something in between would be nice.
The Band: I wear a 32C in the Sunnie but this band seemed not so stretchy so i opted for the 34B. The band is wide all the way around and is 2 inches at the 3 row clasp. It seems true to size and ...is very snug on the first hook.
The Straps: The straps are typical 3/8" wide stretch straps that aren't placed too far apart. They stay in place and are plenty comfortable. Beware, they don't fully adjust do to the design in the back and are almost too long for me, if you are short with high set breasts you might have an issue with these straps.
The wires: good length, average stiffness, not a problem.
The Cups: The cup width and height is perfect for my shape. The placement of the padding caused the wires not to sit in the fold, if I adjusted the straps to get the wires where they belong I got a nice lift but the gore wouldn't tack (this is the first time I have ever experienced this and wow, is it annoying). Letting the straps out, the gore tacked, but no where near my tissue and no lift. Also the cups are STIFF, look good in the mirror but look surprisingly pointy under a shirt.
Overall not a bad fit, kind of like the Bridget but with more padding, and in a pinch I could wear it without much complaint other than the gore. Even though the price is right I will be returning this. Read more 211 more words
I bought this bra knowing before I tried it on that it was going to be to big, I’m a 30D sometimes C, but it was only $4 at Marshalls and in theory the correct cups. So I tried it on quickly and seemed like cups fit, it’s the perfect tester before spending $30-40+ For one from Aerie. I’m happy with fit/comfort other than band issue. I have just been wearing it with a shelf bra camisole to keep it from moving around. I get to decide if it holds up well enough to buy or if I continue to buy S,M,L sized and or 34b clearance bras that I sew the band tighter in. So far it’s holding up well.
Finally getting around to writing a review about this bra .
It's great to find an unlined bra in 34B. I originally bought a 32C as Aerie bras tend have stretchy bands, but this was not the case with this bra. The band is a true 34 and feels good and snug on the first set of hooks and the leotard back adds to the comfort of the fit. The cups fit well, though they could come up a little higher on the sides. The lace cup material is not very stretchy, and it has a half vertical seem, this combination provides good support and ...a natural shape, at least in my size range...can't speak to how it would be on larger/heavier breasts. The wires are medium stiffness and not an issue for comfort. The lace trim was a little scratchy but not a problem after the first washing. The straps are SHORT, very short actually, I have about 1" of adjustment left in them and I'm not tall. I like the light airiness of this bra which is great for the warm summer months, only downside is where the cup seem stops and makes a "dart"...right over my nipple and is highly visible under thin shirts, like permanent high beams. I originally thought that cup was too large so I added some padding to pull the material tighter but it didn't make a difference, that's just how it's designed.
My overall impressions of this bra are great, it's comfortable and cute and has held up well over the summer...and you can find them on sale for $10-$15. Read more 167 more words
Pros: price ($8!), fully adjustable straps Cons: lace trim noticeable under clothing I managed to snag this bra for $8 at my local Winners, where most stores in a mall will send their last few items for clearance. It is very padded, but that causes a shape mismatch for me, as I require more immediate depth. As well, I bought this before I found out my real size, and the top edge is very set, so it now cuts in on my tissue. The straps are very wide set on the balconette, so they slip down quite easily unless they are tightened. The wires are very close together, so they accommodate close-set breasts. The band is mesh, so the bra is quite light other than the cups, which are heavily padded and covered in satiny fabric and lace. I altered the band smaller, so it fits better, but now it is obvious that the cups are too small.
I tried this first in my usual 32C size but the band had pretty much zero stretch and I could barely get it on. I exchanged it for 34B which is a bit better, but it does ride down after a while and the cups squish really tight making a slightly weird profile. And I am a shallow-cup girl.
Okay, it's clear that Aerie's sizes run all over the place. Having gone through several sizes in this brand looking for the right fit, I settled on 34B -- now this one is one, maybe two sizes too large in the cups. It doesn't wrinkle, there's just a massive amount of space between it and my skin. The band and straps fit fine and it's really cute, but geez Louise. Bless 'em for the free returns because I bet they get a lot of them.
Of the three sizes I tried in this style (32B, 34A, and 34B -- I'm still getting my feet wet!), this was the best fit. Like the Katie, it's a little roomy up top since my breasts are more shallow but adjusting the straps helps to even it out. It's a very similar cut, only softer with more coverage, which is why I was so hard-set on finding the right size. Because I wear a 32B in Katie, however, I was confused as to why all my other Aerie bras felt so ridiculously tight. Now that I've figured THAT out, I have a new go-to T-shirt bra.
Not the prettiest bra, but it fits (especially now that I have started buying Aerie bras according to the add-four-inches rule, which doesn't work for most but works here). It's smooth on all sides and nothing digs in. I get more padding than pushup and the fact that my left breast is larger than the right is more noticeable than with any other bra I've tried, but under clothing who really cares? One of the most comfortable I own and a new favorite.
This bra is a disaster. Way over padded, the wires don't run very high on the side and the cups are really short. All this creates a ton of cleavage but the tops of the cups don't lie flat and gape.
Arghh. Horrible. I thought this might work as light duty everyday bra, but it has the weirdest shape to the cups, very pointy and the top of the cup digs in. It fits a little better if I wear it with the straps crossed in the back but definitely not worth keeping. What I liked about Aerie is the bands tend to run on the small side so a 34 fits more like a 3,3 but some of there new bras have very stretchy bands that fit more like a 36 and the new cup shapes just don't seem to work for me. I think I'm giving up on Aerie for a while and wait for them to release some new designs.
