A very pretty bra from Affinitas, unfortunately not quite in my size. I bought this in a 30C, and while the cups fit me beautifully and the bra itself is quite comfortable, I'm just not a 30 underbust. I wore it straight out of the box on the tightest setting, and it still has space in the band - to be fair, this seems like a somewhat tighter 30 band than my other bras, as it has only about 2 inches of extra stretch to it.
The bra has lace side panels that actually seem very sturdy, and completely removable straps that could be altered to a halterneck ...or crossback (or whatever else you fancy) style. Also, though the color is billed as 'navy blue,' it's no navy - the Affinitas website does have an accurate picture of the color, however. Also, note that this bra does have graduated foam padding in the cups, despite being billed as a t-shirt bra. I wanted this, but if you're not looking for a slight push-up effect, be aware.
Definitely a nice bra, and it's a shame it's not made with a smaller band size. If you can fit, it's a good buy! Read more 91 more words
This bra turned out to be a lovely surprise. I ordered it online because it was on sale for a good price, however, the Affinitas line is available in many USA department stores. I have owned Parfait bras, but this is the first time I tried one from their Affinitas line, and I like this particular bra much better than any of the 4 Parfait bras I have owned and worn. This T-shirt bra is extremely soft, malleable, and silky. The band is quite stretchy. For now it fits me well on the tightest hooks, and I hope the band will stay stable ...after a few wears. My problem with 32 bands is they rarely stay their original size after even one day's wear. This bra has made it through two wears and it's still firm. The underwire cups are contoured, with graduated, crescent-shaped foam padding along their bottoms. The heaviest part of the padding is about .5"/1.27 cm. thick, but, to me, it doesn't feel like "push-up" type padding. The band is snug and the cups seem to be shaped well for my shallow, wide breasts. Size 32C is often a hit or miss with me, because 32 bands can be far too loose, and, quite often, C cups quad-boob to the point that they are noticeable under clothing. These cups are wide enough that they don't cut off breast tissue; similar to a balconette shape. This bra is pretty and comfortable and I got it for a decent price, so I'm pleased with it. I look forward to trying more Affinitas bras in hopes that more are suited to my shape and size. Read more 181 more words
What a perfect bra! I bought this to wear during pregnancy and it might be the most flattering, comfortable bra I've ever had. Definitely a fan of Affinitas now.
I purchased this bra after trying the 32DD that was waaaay too small. The 34 band is comfortable, however, I'm wearing it on the tightest hook. We'll see how much the lace stretches, as I may need to alter it. I suppose if the cups weren't too small in the 32DD, the 32 band would have felt OK. So, if you're thinking about purchasing this bra, it runs about 2 cup sizes small.
What I like: Even though this bra is slightly too shallow for me (not able to completely fill bottom of cups), it's comfortable and I don't feel as if my chest is being squished. It ...does give a nice push up look and the lace is gorgeous. Also, I have a conical, even shape and I am happy to say that the cups are more open on the top or demi-ish. They do not curve in. Also, the shape is round and the fabric is soft. I think this might be my new favorite bra...so I hope it doesn't loosen much. The straps are also multi way, which is very nice! The wires aren't too high; they're comfortable. This should be seamless under a shirt.
What I don't like: This bra is too shallow for my conical shape. The band will probably stretch, the cups run about 2 sizes too small.
Misc: For my size, I don't get any cleavage (wide set breasts), just a fuller profile. If you have larger breasts, this may not be safe for a work, as I can see it really pushing your ladies up. Even though this bra isn't a perfect fit, it is my favorite bra as it's the one that fits the best and gives me adequate shape. Read more 182 more words
Quadboob bad after swoop and scoop. Band is super tight, too. I would definitely go up a band size and maybe a cup size... the band really doesn't feel like it would stretch too much, which is probably a good thing.
It has a nice amount of padding/lining https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_smile.gif" alt=":)" />...and I did get a nice push up (even fullness). I am small enough that this bra could be work appropriate for me, but if you have a bigger bust, I would be careful...does give oomph.
Super cute bra though and it has multi-way straps.
This would be my ideal bra if it came in a 28DD! It's low profile and simple plus it's nude and we all need nude bras! The 30 band was true to size and the cups were too, I wish they came in 30Ds because I would have reordered that for sure!
The cups were much much too shallow for me. I also had issues with the straps coming undone as they are hooked in the front and back, but tightening the straps helped.
I got this bra on sale from Zulily. It's lined but not padded. The wires are not quite wide enough for me at the sides and I'm experiencing some quadboob on my larger side. It's wearable, but a 30C would have been a better fit. There are a couple of slightly scratchy points on this bra, mainly where the strap joins the band at the back. I am happy with the shape and fit otherwise, so I plan to look for this model in a 30C.
The cups on this bra are too shallow for me and the wires too narrow. It is hard to see in the photos, but the closeup shot of the one side does show how the top of the cup is too tight across me. The bra feels as if it is pulling my flesh downward and compressing it rather than lifting it up. Unfortunately the next cup size up (30D) wasn't manufactured in this model.
Overall the bra is OK. It seems like it would give nice shaping in the correct size. The narrow, stretchy straps and stretchy-feeling band make it feel like something one could pick up at Target (in other words, more for looks than function). This bra does NOT have any kind of push-up or bump padding in it, unlike the Affinitas Intimates Taylor Push-up . It has a thin foam lining.
This is the Allison Push-Up Bra. True to size, it gives me more cleavage than I've ever experienced, but unfortunately the band is not quite tight/supportive enough to keep it from sliding back out of the cup. The underwires have a pronounced \_/ shape that is too narrow for my wide breasts. Straps are removable/convertible.
This is the Allison T-Shirt Bra. It runs true to size and gives nice lift, but the wires are not wide enough for me. Too bad, because it's a well-thought-out t-shirt bra. The band has a seamless cover and avoids creating bulges. The cups are attached to the wire at the bottom of the channeling in order to hide the wire under clothes, and the curve at the top of the cup also disappears under clothes.
Overall a pretty good basic bra - especially for the price. It's nothing too special, but it's wearable and the wires don't dig in too much so that's pretty good! True to size.
Fits ok, but the underwire is uncomfortable. The cups are a bit too small at the bottom and fit ok on top. The straps are comfortably wide, but for some reason the attachment points are about to come off. Looks pretty normal.
