I've been scared to try an E-cup for a long time, but I finally did, and the fit was out of this world! I have fairly large but wise-set breasts, and this cupped them perfectly. The center lacing actually looks really good with the separation, in my opinion! It's also VERY comfortable. I'd absolutely recommend this bra!
I went to look at pix of the bra and just assumed the ones I found were yours. That was dumb of me. Anyway, looking at the pix that are posted under the general info for the bra, it’s a beautiful bra and a beautiful set. I’m glad you conquered your fear of the E cup and found a bra you like!!!
dagmarwulfe Oh, it looks like my photos might be approved now? I apologise in advance if they aren't as cute as a lot of other user's on here, I have scoliosis and I kind of just perch my camera on my sink and rotate for my photos. Thank you though! E cups forever after! ❤️
You NEVER have to apologize for your pix to me. Taking those things is super tricky. It takes me forever and mine still aren’t all that great. Happy for you that you’ve got something cute you like! It’s a win. 👍
This bra looks stunning on you! It looks like you forgot to check the box "show these photos next to my bra info".
This looks beautiful on you! Glad you found something to love.
This set looks absolutely beautiful! Also, really good that it’s comfortable, too!
I got the Phoenix from AP's summer sale, and was very excited to try it because it's a 3 part cup instead of that dumb half-seam that AP apparently likes to do. It's also very cute, a pastel tie-dye sort of thing that kind of reminds me of plastic Easter eggs. Unfortunately this was not a good fit. It's definitely meant for FOB shapes; I got that upside-down 7/elf shoe profile going on, and the top section of lace cuts in, causing a quad on both sides. In any case, since I'm sort of an even/FOT-tendencies shape, this doesn't work. I get no lift and it doesn't center the girls at all. This will be returned! :'(
It sucks that it didn't work out, it's such a pretty bra & it goes nicely with your skin

Yeah I check out AP stuff at Nordstrom's once in a while and it always looks like cheap materials and iffy construction, aka guaranteed schlumpy shape for most wearers.
AP varies all over the place in materials, construction, and sizing. Super frustrating. I need to review my AP Casie. It's similar to this. I took the band in & bent the wires narrower & it's pretty comfy for hot weather & flowy shirt usage, but I am even-FOB too. It's Minimizing & yeah, these bras aren't designed for power lifting lol. Mostly boob decoration. I have this bra coming from the same order & expect it to "fit" like my Casie. Workable, with alterations.
Thanks Prettyncharmeuse ! It's a shame. It's cute but not a good fit. wendybien from what I've read, it's a hit or a miss with them. The ones I got in the mail today were awesome, but then I've read reviews where something wouldn't even survive a gentle hand washing. So it's sort of a gamble :/ lcl0706 definitely not for power lifting LOL. I'll add the stats for the 32E for you <3
omg it's gonna be soooo wide lol. I know it'll take work but damn it's so pretty, I'm not above a little bra surgery!
I love their designs, but I tried one and knew immediately to never do it again. Very sad and slumpy, and it was a 3 part too like yours was.
I must be an odd ball. I like the very subtle shaping & minimized profile of my Casie. Here it is under my shirt today. https://imgur.com/a/3iQSy. I swear I'll get the full review up soon. Hopefully this evening.
Agent Provocateur has a bunch of different sub-lines whose name I can't remember, there are high-end ones too but I have never seen those in the US. Maybe they have them in boutiques.
gratiat I'm sort of feeling like I've learned my lesson LOL. The designs are fabulous, but yeah, it doesn't do much for my shape. Sad slump indeed. :'( I feel like I'm getting Claudette flashbacks that cost more! lcl0706 I feel like the reason it works so well for you is your FOB tendencies - I think that profile looks wonderful! wendybien The only sub-line I know of is L'Agent, but I wouldn't be surprised to learn that there are more. I haven't seen any AP/L'Agent in stores, but I don't live near a normal Nordstrom :o There's an AP store in Jersey according to my shipment though!
Agent Provocateur's higher end line is called Soiree. Their bras start at around $600.
Hi kerniss I'm really desperate to get this bra (likely from eBay) but am dithering cos I've never tried AP before and it sounds like this bra comes up small in the band. I am usually a 32DD / E so I am thinking I should size up to a 34D / DD. Would you be able to say if the cup runs true to size or slightly small also? I am FOB so hopefully shape wise I should be ok. Thanks loads, any help appreciated :-)
This bra is absolutely gorgeous. The materials are perfect, the construction is perfect, and its semi-adjustable straps actually adjust to a length I need! Unfortunately, the mesh on this is extremely loose. Having soft tissue on this quarter cup doesn't make for a good looking shape (IMO), as my boobs are spilling out of the quarter cup yet is not properly contained by the mesh overlay. As someone with a lot of center fullness, I was genuinely surprised that it wrinkled so much in the center. The band stretches to 31.5, which is where I'm most comfortable these days. I can't stress the high quality enough. I'm going to return this and try it in a 32D, hoping that the mesh overlay will be tighter in a cup size down (plus the cups should be narrower). Wish me luck!
First things first: it's actually really comfy. Problem is, I got it a cup size too small. I think part of the issue is that I wasn't properly settled into it, but as you can see from the photo, I'm leaking out a little. Very comfy bra though.
I was looking for a sheer, light bra for hot weather with a center gore no higher than 1.5" and enough of a back band to be comfy, unlike, say, those in Cleo bras. In those three aspects, Agent Provocateur's Ambrose bra succeeds. The 1.25" gore is amazingly low. The band stretches to about 31" even though it is labeled a UK 34E, so my usually 30F boobs are comfortable. Though there are only two rows of three hooks and eyes, the back band is wide enough to be comfortable and forestall bulging.
Unfortunately the shape is mediocre, partly because the cups are too small, and partly, I believe, ...because of construction. Each cup has one vertical seam that goes partway up from the underwire. I wish that vertical seam went all the way up. That might've helped get cakes on a plate cleavage. I wouldn't alter this bra to make the seam go all the way up. That would make the cup volume even smaller. Plus it would mess up the pretty embroidery. As it is, the shape is somewhat flattened above the nipple, a notable failure in a bra containing my full on top boobs. Given the slightest excuse, my firm boobs achieve epic cakes on a plate cleavage.
I have the pink tulle colorway, with black embroidery. The well conceived design combines scalloped embroidery on the top edge of the cups with ruched black silk straps and the same ruched black silk outlining the bottom edge of the band. There is boning in the wings, close to the underwires. The cups are notably wide and high under the arms, given the 31" stretched and 25.25" unstretched band lengths. The Ambrose may, in fact, be my only well fitting bra whose wires are too wide under the arms for me.
This bra is beautiful and comfortable. It doesn't need breaking in and therefore seems worth more than a full price Freya or Panache bra. The materials and construction do not, however, justify the original retail price of $190. I think it's an excellent buy at the $60 sale price. Despite the price, I am returning this for a refund. Sister sizing to a 36E in the same model would give me more cup volume, to enable alterations, but it would also make the straps too wide set. Now I know to avoid this construction in Agent Provocateur bras.
Edited to add: I forgot to mention that a sterling quality of the Agent Provocateur bras I've tried is their LOW COVERAGE CUPS. In the Ambrose, my nipples and aerolas are covered, but there is perhaps only an inch of fabric above them. Most of my chest is not covered at all! As a petite person who typically wears 30Fs, I find it extremely difficult to find bras that cover what they need to, and no more. I do have tiny nipples and aerolas, so I can imagine another petite 30F having an issue with aerolas peeking over the edges of the cups. Of course, this bra is sheer pink, so those nips and aerolas are visible and will protrude, given the opportunity. Read more 410 more words
Purchased for Valentine's Day and did not disappoint! A gorgeous set with deep fuchsia silk trimmed in orangey-red lace. It's very comfortable to wear and disappeared under a medium-heavy weight wrap dress. The cups are a tiny bit small on me, but I wanted a slightly overflowing look. The one annoying thing is the lace sticks out away from the bra on top. Hopefully washing it will calm it down.
I am learning I am a 36DD in this brand. This bra fits like a 34 D. I feel the band will never stretch much. I've worn this three times and still need the extender. It seems well constructed. The nude part is see-through. The flowers are black outlines of three different types of flowers with thread stitching to create the pollen details of the flower centers. Very classy. But too small for comfort. Akways size up in Agent Provocateur. Would look good if I lost an inch in the bust.
had I known to go one cup size up this might have fit. Or maybe not because the problem is the decorative rhinestone straps aren't long enough. Please keep in mind I am 5 foot 11 and always wear the straps as long as possible. A short girl may find this fits better. I have never been able to wear this bra. It's more of a boudoir bra. It does not stretch enough to be a true 36 inch band. The underwire hurts (maybe because the brand runs small on cups.) It was $1,100 new.
This bra is gorgeous. I would say the band runs a bit tight so probably fit like a 28D. It also seems to be more FOB shaped (sadly just too small for me)
I was surprised that this fit because the cup depth is almost a full inch larger than what's typical for me. I love this bra! It's comfortable, looks great, and fits my 26.5" ribcage fairly well (the elastic is pretty firm, and I wear it on the tightest hooks). The straps are kind of wide set, which wasn't an issue for me but might be for someone else.
I tried the 34E Agent Provocateur Abbey Bra because it doesn't come in 30F, my sister size 32E wasn't available, and I wanted to enter its measurements into Bratabase. The straps are painfully wide on this one. Standing still is uncomfortable. The slightest movement pushes the straps forward, which pushes the cups forward and makes them gape. The straps are as unsuitable as those of the 36E Agent Provocateur Darla Bra, which is a full band size bigger and, of course, a cup size bigger than the Abbey.
The Abbey's colors are gorgeous! A vivid light blue overlaid with fuchsia leavers lace on the cups. Nothing chalky, grayed, or ...browned about these colors! The gore is acceptably low--1.75"--for my close-set boobs. That short gore, combined with truly low coverage cups, constructed with the vertical seams of a half cup bra, would be fabulous for someone taller and wider in frame but who also has close-set boobs..
The pads are removable, which surprised me, as the description on the website merely said it was a padded bra. The pads are like Ewa Michalak's removable pads. They are thin and good for correcting asymmetry, if needed. They aren't really pushup type. If, somehow, I could stay upright and not move my arms all day, I would still need the pads to fill out the cups. That means the Abbey's cups run larger than the unpadded Darla's cups, which fit me well in both 36E and 34E. The 34E Darla came in the same order. I will review that soon.
The Abbey's straps are partially adjustable. Most of their length is a wide, satin ribbon, the same color as the blue satin cups. I believe the straps would be just short enough, if they weren't so wide-set.
After the 34E Abbey arrived, the 32E again became available at agentprovocateur.com. I've ordered that one. I hope going down one band and cup will ameliorate the wide set strap issue. If the 32E Abbey fits, I'll have a low coverage, low gore bra in gorgeous colors, possibly with the very rounded profile stereotypical of half cup bras. Read more 243 more words
Part of my bras-that-don't-fit collection. It's certainly pretty, but the lace can be itchy, and it doesn't do much for my shape. The cup separation is good, but the cup size is too small, and my boobs tend to escape under my armpits. The band rides up, and seems a bit stretchier than other AP bras.
Through an error on the part of Agent Provocateur, I ended up with the Agent Provocateur Darla bra, a sheer half cup bra, in 36E. The color is called Champagne. It's actually peach colored. The cups are entirely lace, and sheer. Each cup has two vertical seams. Most of this full band bra is lace, except for parts of the band and the straps and hook/eye area.
As I wear a 30F most often, I was shocked when I tried this on and found it fit well except for the straps being too wide set. I can see how many in my size range would find the wires were ...too wide and tall under the arms, but I could handle this 36E's underwires. The gore is an amazingly low 1.5" and totally comfortable for my no-space-between-them boobs. The lace, as one would expect for a bra in the $200 range, is soft. The straps are partially adjustable, and the band is even reasonably tight for a 36 band. It stretches to 35.5." I believe this is the only bra I've ever tried on where the seam(s) align perfectly with my nipples. Usually the seams are too far out to the sides for that to happen. Why they should align in a 36E half cup with two vertical seams in each cup puzzles me. The seams nearer the gore are the ones that align with my nips.
I am even more interested in trying on Agent Provocateur bras than I was before. I'd try my sister size of 32E, as they don't make 30F. My main fitting problem is center gores higher than 1.5," but evidently this may not be a problem in this line. Read more 174 more words
WTF. A bra that needs 5" of boob (or in my case, knees trying to fill the ample void) to fill it out is NOT an A cup. No, no, no!
If it wasn't absurdly mis-sized, this bra would probably look very nice, and the quality seems to be good. The straps feel like a thick elastic with silk near seamlessly sewn around it. The wires end pretty low at the sides, which I find comfortable and cute but might not be very supportive on fuller figures. The top of the lace cups require a LOT of projection. I didn't notice anything strange with wire width, but seriously: if someone has enough breast projection/tissue to fill out these cups, they are probably not out shopping for 32*A*s.
I just read your review, thanks so much. The 4" cup width seems about right for a 32, but the 7" depth seems absurd for 32A. That's more like 34B territory for sure. The Aerie Sophie is sized kind of crazy like that.
I loved this bra to death when it fit - back when I was a 38D (or at least thought I was). The mesh fabric is strong w/ just the right amount of give. The straps are narrow, which was great for me.
Now this is just haunting my closet begging to be replaced by a proper fitting version.
I'd totally recommend it to someone my shape (shallow, wide root, full bottom) in that size.
If the cup had fit, I would have kept this bra. It was perfect in every other way. The comfort was beyond compare. The wire placement is absolutely perfect, which is my major struggle.
A beautiful bra from last year's AP collection. I have a 28" ribcage and now know that I really need a 30 band, but I fasten my 32B on the tightest hook. Now I also know that the cup is a little too small for me. But what a beauty! I will be on the hunt for a better fitting size.
Ahhh, AP. Love this stuff. I have a drawer full of sets, collected over the last 10 years, with size 34A bras that I now know do not fit me at all!
Out of all of them this is one of my very favorites. There is a reason AP has always carried this iconic bra during the whole time I have been shopping there. It is simply gorgeous on even small breasts like mine. Makes me feel like a total vixen.
My 32B is fastened here on the tightest hook and you can see it is a bit small in the cup. My breasts are shallow and bottom-heavy and have a hard time filling out unlined bras like this, but the extra structure given by the vertical seams helps.
Hoping to add a Love Demi in 30D to my drawer sometime in the future!
Its beautiful on you!!!
