I am close set with immediate projection and shallow tall roots. For my size this bra runs cup size larger so I order a 30E rather then my usual 30F. The first thing I noticed when I put on the bra was the hard wires so I had to exchange them for flex wires in order to wear the bra. The gore still a tad too tall but with softer wires it doesn't bother me. The cups are the right size with enough space at the bottom and open up top. The straps have pretty, flowery, pattern on them as do the cups. The straps are too wide set and are irritating whenever I move my arms. I HATE the shape it gives my boobs. They look very sad and spayed. The bra seems to be push them towards my armpits.
The cups look way too wide for you. Are the pictures with the new wires? And do the wires even make a difference in how it fits?
The pics are with the new wires. The Flexwires are a little wider but the shape was the same before I replaced the wires
Interesting. May I ask where you get these wires? And are there different types? I would like to reinforce my Panache Jasmine with some really firm wires like the ones in the Cleo Meg.
Pretty happy with this bra. My review is for the lavender. I'd consider it "dusty" or "vintage" lavender. It runs what I'd consider a cup large. The lace doesn't show under my shirt. The cups are narrow for a 30F, 5" (this is marked 30E) and has good depth, 10". I could use a touch more immediate depth but i say that all the time. I appreciate the wider softer straps. I thought they were too widely set when I tried it on but they didn't rub too much as I wore it. I should say I didn't notice ...them rubbing but I do have faint lines on my arms. If I moved the straps in slightly I'd lose a tiny bit of depth which would give me a more rounded shape as well. This I find rounder than Freya but not Cleo Apple round. I got this inexpensively from Amazon. The band is a little loose (30.5-31" stretched) for me. I measure 29.5" uncomfortable under bust. If they had a 28F I would try it but since they don't I found the second hooks usable. I've been having trouble finding something I really want to wear so I've been branching out where I can looking for some less common brands to see I can get a better fit somewhere. The gore is nice and low but I found with my softer tissue after trying it moving around a lot I ended up falling out in the center on my larger side https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_sad.gif" alt=":(" /> Still would recommend this bra to others with a similar shape or measurements. I was surprised reading other people's reviews of this bra which seemed overwhelmingly negative. I own two of these which I got used, and I love it. A lot of reviews say the band is, but I usually wear a28 band, and the 30 fits me well, after being well-worn. Also reviews go both ways on the cups running large and small, but mine fit very well. I get support which is nice as my breasts are getting heavier and not wanting to stay firm...
I kept seeing these Alegro bras all over Ebay. I haven't seen a lot of reviews on them, but since they aren't too expensive and I fell in love with the "Green Ash" color, I took a chance....and regretted it. Too be fair, this bra is pretty and actually, quite comfortable. However, it seems cheaply made/flimsy. The band is super stretchy and unsupportive. The lace along the bottom of the cup is so delicate, I don't think it would last a day without fraying. The straps are odd and I'm worried they would break if I made any sudden movements. They are not fully adjustable since they come ...as two pieces attached to each other. The front piece of the strap is attached to the cup with a thin plastic hoop. It is two strands with NO elasticity, they almost look like ribbons. This front piece of the strap is looped, not sewn, around the end of the back piece of the strap, which is a typical elastic strap. It's hard to describe, so I uploaded pics. Anyway, I just don't see this bra holding up very well. But here's the worst part. THE SHAPE OH GOD THE SHAPE is AWFUL! It is super pointy but manages to give me major quad boob as well. There is no elasticity at the top of the cup. I'm by no means a bra brand snob, but you could do much better for the price, I paid 19.99 USD. I've picked up NWT Freyas & Curvy Kates for half that, and while this bra is pretty (from a distance) it is not comparable in quality whatsoever. My advice-save your money. Fortunately, the seller takes returns, phew! Read more 179 more words
Another bra that is way too separated in the cup and goes way too wide on the bottom edge of the cup as well. Band seems true to size, but I can't tell on the cup since the shape is way off for me. Probably fairly close to a true 30E though.
I like the fit of this bra. When I first bought it, the band seemed to run tight. It has stretched over time. The silly little jewel hanging off of the gore came off during the first time I wore it. The color I have (dusty turquoise?) looks slightly dirty and lackluster. I assume it will only get worse as I wear it more and it gets signs of wear. Otherwise really comfortable, nice amount of padding.
Update-Ish: This was one of the first fitting bras I owned, and it was great to me. I love how the cups have 3 padded seamed bits and are covered with lace. The lace is smoother under shirts than with many of my other bras.
I usually wear 30Es. The band fits nicely and not too tight for a 30. The cups seem a bit wrinkly though. This bra uses the UK sizing 30E, making it a 30F US, so I suppose that makes sense that the cups seem large. It is completely unlined and lacy transparent. No modesty there. The sewing also seems messy in places, not refined. It has a nice plunge gore, but it is likely still expecting boobs that are more wide-set & wider-cup than mine. The bra pattern is just too busy to be sexy.
What is good about this bra? It is a very soft bra. It was advertised as padded but the padding is just right -- not too thick and not too thin. I also enjoy how it lifts up my boobs.
This might just be my favorite bra ever. Literally everything about it fits perfectly (breast tissue perfectly enclosed, straps feel secure, band is the right tightness, gore tacks and sits flush on my chest). Not to mention, it's super comfortable and cute! It may run a tad small (30E is a cup size up from my regular)...it's hard to know for sure though, because I've definitely experienced some tissue migration, but no idea if it would account for a full cup size. Either way, highly, highly recommend!!
This a beautiful bra, but it does not fit right. The wires do not sit around my breast tissue/against my body. They seem to only hit under the middle of each breast and then don't fit anywhere else. I think the wires are not shaped well for me. I don't fill the cups (must need a smaller cup size). And the gore doesn't sit against my sternum, even though the band is a good size. There are just too many things going wrong with this.
The cups on this bra (30E) seem rather wide but flat. I get a little of the quad boob effect even though there is extra room on the outer edge between the underwire and where my breast actually begins. I had initially tried the 30F because I read that the cups run small but had the same problem with it...the cups and underwire were even wider and just as flat. I sent it back and kept the 30E as I needed it to wear with a rather low cut dress for a Christmas party. If I'd have had more time I would have ordered a 30D to see if it worked. The girls looked great once the dress was on and since the dress fabric was a crinkly crepe you couldn't tell that there were fit issues with the bra.
The cups look way too wide for you.
