MY SHAPE: Projected, center full, close-set, tall and narrow roots.
THE TAKEAWAY: This bra was part of the luxury line at Comexim and can still be ordered for a surcharge. It's a truly beautiful bra made with incredibly soft fabrics. Altered to have a higher gore and with stronger wires, it better suits my needs, though the tack is still soft. The band runs more TTS than past Comexims I've ordered, feeling extremely comfortable ("broken in") on the loosest hook and now that this has happened 3 times in a row making me strongly consider ordering my next Comexim as a 65.
NOTE: This bra has been altered! It's a ...plunge but I ordered it with a raised gore, overlapped gore, and stronger wires. This was an experiment to see whether it would fit me better with the gore raised, and it did, but altering a 3HC is much simpler, so I just request those now.
THE DETAILS: A quite round shape in a beautiful padded bra. Smooth cups except for the lace trim, but when it fits right the lip really is not that noticeable under shirts.
The fit of this bra is very similar to the fit of my other recent Comexim purchases (see my more detailed review of the 70J - Comexim ยป Rosettes Half Cup), just slightly less round and without the lace. https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_smile.gif" alt=":)" /> Comfortable and supportive and beautiful, a total win IMHO. This is my first attempt at a Polish bra and I am a little perplexed with the fit. I normally wear a 30GG in UK brands Panache and Freya. I took advice from "A Sophisticated Pair" website to size up in the band and the cup, so I purchase a 32GG from A Sophisticated Pair. I received the package within a few days! I believe that the size is correct. When I first put the bra on, it looks awesome. Great uplift, very comfortable, I wear it on the first set of hooks, no empty space at the bottom or top (which ...I do get from Panache and Freya at times), the gore tacks perfectly, etc, etc, all boxes checked. However, within a few hours, my boobs fall toward the center and I appear to have major quadraboob. Perhaps the cut just isn't right for me? Perhaps the cups cut across my boobs at too steep of a slope? I noticed that the cups seem tall. Not sure because I can wear a Freya Deco all day long and not have this happen.
This is a beautiful bra and very comfortable. I think my next attempt will be a half cup like the Ewa Michalak CHP Read more 110 more words
MY SHAPE: Projected, center full, tall and narrow roots.
THE TAKEAWAY: The Florence Nuance is one of the Anna Pardal styles, which you can still order for a bit of a surcharge. Breathtakingly soft fabric and an uplifted shape typical of Comexim plunges. Since the cups lack a top seamed section, they are quite open on top and more accommodating for tall roots and FOT shapes. Fit is very similar to the Lady Paradise (another Anna Pardal style). Band is TTCS (True To Comexim size), stretching to around 31"; this is not one of their tighter bras. Unfortunately, the gore is too low and the wires too soft for ...my center fullness.
DETAILS: Anna Pardal bras are more expensive than other contemporary styles, and you can definitely feel the difference in the materials that were chosen for them. The main fabric of the Florence is soft and beautiful, and the lace that edges its cups is intricate. Beautiful bra. I wish it had fit better!
After many attempts, I'm finally admitting that Comexim wires are just plain too soft for me*. In a "32GG" (70J), my center-heavy tissue distorts the cups at the gore, causing a sloping shape that is especially noticeable on my right side. Future Comexim bras are going to be ordered with firmer wires, one of their many alteration options. (I'm also going to order their plunges with raised gores... and reduced cups. WE'LL SEE HOW THAT WORKS OUT.)
* Keep in mind that I have yet to meet a bra with wires that were too hard for my comfort. The times I've ever found wires uncomfortable, the problem was something else -- a shape mismatch, a cup that was too shallow and therefore being pushed down, or a band that was much too tight. Someone who finds Panache wires too hard should definitely take into consideration that they don't bother me before worrying about whether or not they'll also find Comexim's wires too soft.
