Beautiful set from Poshmark…I don’t usually buy this brand, but I love butterflies and this set is gorgeous. That said, I grossly underestimated how it would fit and it too small so I will be listing it. FWIW, it came highly scented from whatever wash was used and it has given me a headache, so PSA when sending out something, consider washing it with something unscented because you never know how someone might react to it on the other side.
This is a beautiful molded-cup bra with beige demi cups overlaid with black lace in floral pattern. The gore and straps are beige mesh with the same black lace overlay. The straps are wide-ish and stretchy, fully adjustable with loopy thread edging and tiny black boys where the strap meets the cup. The lace is scalloped along the band and top edges of the cups. The gore has a circular gold charm with a tiny crystal. On the back band, the scalloped lace extends partway up the straps, which looks really nice.
The details and materials of this bra are lovely - it's a step up in ...quality from the 90D - Aubade » Romance D'ete Plunge (PB18). It's also more comfortable to wear. The foam lining of the cups is silky smooth, and the band feels softer and more substantial.
My shape is round-ish, close-set, low on chest, somewhat deflated on top, and a bit east-west. This bra comes close to fitting me, but I think the cups are too small. The band seems to fit well, comfortably snug and not overly stretchy. The straps are somewhat too wide-set for me, but the stretch of the strap material seems to prevent them from slipping. They do dig into my armpits a little. Upon a full swoop and scoop, the gore does not tack and I get a bit of quadding, especially on my larger side, and the top lace edge wants to fold down into the cup. There's the tiniest bit of gaping on my smaller side, but it's barely noticeable. I like the low wings as I have a frequent problem with bras rubbing under my arms and this one doesn't do that, but I think they might even be a bit too low - there seems to be some tissue escaping under my arms. Either the wings are too low or the wires too short, I'm not sure. I may see if I can find this model in an 85F just to see if the fit improves... I really do like the way it looks and feels. How cute! The print reminds me of the Panache Idina Moulded T-shirt Bra (6968) . That was the first bra I tried back in the day when I was first learning about bra fitting.
I think this one looks really good on you!
It looks nice! Hopefully going up 1 cup will take care of the issues you’re having.
This is the same cut as my 80F - Aubade » Aubade À L'amour, a half cup designed for larger cups. I bought the Aubade à l’amour in 80F(65F) but this size is only available on special order. So when I stepped into their boutique I decided to try on the sister size in the hope it runs tight. I tried two models, the Soleil nocturne in red and this one. The Soleil nocturne runs rather loose and I didn’t like the shape it gives even though the lace is breathtaking. I now mostly wear 70 bands in EM. The older I get the looser bands ...I need https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_wink.gif" alt=";-)" /> On the one hand it’s because my skin is more sensible, on the other hand I have back pain when the band is too tight. The band in this one is a little bit tricky. I think it runs true too size, it’s wearable on the loosest hook but I have the impression that it rides up even though it actually stays in place. I wear in on the second hook and it feels stable and comfy. I think this impression of riding up may be due to the straps – in all Aubade bras they are partially unstretchy which, I think, makes them pull on the band more than with stretchy straps. I’m a huge fan of this cut. It seems Aubade managed to design a perfect unpadded half cup bra that gives support and nice shape. Even the HM cut from Ewa Michalak doesn’t measure up ! The cups are quite high so there’s no spilling and everything is kept stable during the day. The center gore is very high so it might be stabby for sensitive sternums. This model seems to run big in cups compared to other I’ve tried so far. Aubade is definitely killing it when it comes to the design. The Femme romantique is aptly named: the cups are made out of black tulle adorned with multicolour floral embroidery. The cups are lined with black mesh. As mentioned above, the straps are only partially stretchy and adjustable. The front part is unstretchy, covered with violet ribbon and black embroidery. The wings and back band are made of two layers: black lace and mesh. Read more 276 more words
Still too soon to tell. https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_smile.gif" alt=":)" /> Review coming when I wear for more than a few minutes!
Lovely bra, a little edge to the fabric, with feminine embroidery. Very comfortable with soft fabric and non intrusive wire. The wings are stretchy, so you may want to purchase a size down if you prefer a firm feel around your ribs. I should have purchased the next cup size up, I didn't know any better and let the sales girl put me in a cup size too small. Although the fit isn't perfect, this bra is still comfortable and gives a good shape. I would not recommend for wearing under lighter weight tops, the three part cup seams show through.
oh, this looks so pretty! Now I wanna check out that brand!
