This is the first bra I've owned in a while that fits me properly! Because of pregnancy and breastfeeding, my breasts have just become huge and out of control, so i went to get properly fitted for the first time in years. I was a bit concerned when i learned my correct size, but was beyond releived when i found that Aviana had this bra in my size and i tried it on for the first time.
To say that my breasts are heavy would be a huge understatement, but this bra has stepped up to the task of carrying that load, and so far it has done ...an amazing job! The support is just amazing even for a wireless bra. The straps are wide and comfortable. Even though this is classified as a minimizer, it doesn't really do much minimizing... though it would take a lot to minimize my chest. My only problem with the bra is that it didn't come in enough color options. But the simple black and beige make it a great everyday bra. I will definitely be buying more of them. I was so glad when I heard that Aviana was selling bras up to a P cup! This is the only bra I've found in my size and I absolutely love it! My breasts are beyond heavy and this bra does a fantastic job supporting them and taking the weight off my back and shoulders. I only wish that this style came in other colors.
I wish this bra went up to my correct size. Great lift for a non underwire bra. This is my go to can't stand to put on an underwire bra, but need support.
Under some outfits I like to wear a minimizer bra. In my size (40I) it's very hard to find a minimizer that fits, supports without a underwire.. I ordered two of these bras and glad I did. These bras are pricey but are worth the money! Now I look better in my clothes. Plus I love that this minimizer bra does what it says and gives the appearance of looking a size smaller than you actually are...great for us over-busted women.
This is my "I give up" bra, which I found on eBay. It's a band size smaller than I used to wear before I gave up, and several cup sizes larger. However, buying it forced me to get back in the game because this is not a good fit. If I wear it on the last hooks my boobs almost fall out. It has a weird seam across the nipples--perhaps because the cup is very much the wrong shape for me.
The bra has an interesting partial inner sling which helps with support. It's soft and fairly comfortable if you ignore the breast spilling over the top. Since I decided that, after all, I can't ignore that, this bra made me start trying again!
Size is US 32E. And I had to say what length the wires were but it's wire free.
This Aviana was purchased at a time when I thought I knew my size but really didn't. The 42H Goddess 105 Great Day was a staple for me but I had not realized that the band was too big and the cups too small and thought it was my fault that bras fit me this way. I purchased this Aviana in 2010 and although I got a similar fit as the Goddess, the underwires were clearly uncomfortable. The bra was pretty but that was not enough or me to ignore the wires. This bra never made it into my rotation and I ultimately gave it away.
This doesn't seem like a minimizer bra in the shape it gives. I have a hard time finding bras that I can tolerate. This one is pretty good, but starts to hurt at the sides after about 5 hours. Actually one of my fits to date.
Band= doesn't feel right. I can't figure out what it is. It's not stretchy and feels tight, but it rides up in back and I can pull it away from my body in back. I think it is too loose. Cups= way too tall. Bottom fits, top edge fits when I'm standing up straight. Weirdly designed (see wire notes). Gaping directly above boob apex (as usual) Straps= way too far apart. Cut into arm crease or fall off. If I tighten them, the band rides up more. NOT padded at shoulder. Wire= not sure what to think. Seems to fit, but I'm still always adjusting it back up into my boob ...crease.. Fabric of cup comes from OUTER edge of wire, which is so bizarre. Tilts outward from the top and cuts into my body. Uncomfortable. Center gore= more weirdness. Way too high, but flares OUT at the top.
INITIAL IMPRESSION: Center gore not flat, but it's close. Wires are too wide on the sides, but not poke-y. Slight wrinkles in top of cup - I blame my short boobs. Straps are contoured on the shoulder and padded. Comfy. Straps are too wide for me. Not bothersome at this point (after 10 minutes). Love the 4-hook closure. So far feels good.
So glad you found it!! Congratulations!
