A very bright coloured and beautiful bra. When I saw it online, I was unimpressed; then my fitter at Bravissimo handed it over to me and I fell in love. Let's mention I love bright, cheerful colours, but not so much flowers on underwear.
The fit is very good: the underwires are narrower than those of Freya's, thus not underarm poking! It's supportive and comfortable, and hasn't stretched (too) much so far - it was bought 9 months ago. The fabric is very soft and comfortable, close to Freya Frankie's microfiber.
A definite improvement on Bravissimo designs, compared to the Boudoir Beau I also own, and a good balance between support and looks. It slightly wrinkles at the side of the cups, though, where the straps are attached, so I guess there's still room for improvement!
Unfortunately with the Satine bra it suffers from the age old problem of the cups becoming wider and taller, and the same with the gore and wires as the cup size increases. The band also becomes deeper. As a result, whilst this bra used to be the best available fit for me in a smaller cup size, now that my breasts have grown larger it seems that I have sized out of it.
Major fit issues for me are the way way too tall gore. Others comment on it being a "true" plunge and being decently low, but unfortunately for me with my high and close set short rooted ...bust, a gore over 2 inches is just pain. There is no space in between my boobs for the wires to sit so they dig into the bottom of my breasts and this pushes the bra out of my IMF. Ideally for a bra to fit me well, the gore should be not much more than an inch in depth so that the wires do not try to come up between my breasts. At 2.5" this gore is nearly the full height of my breasts so is closer to a balconette in this size. The last truly comfortable gore fit for me was the 32FF.
The cups also don't work well as plunges due to how high up the cups come - so they show underneath any neckline which is below the collar bone. Again likely more to do with my high set breasts, but again, the 32FF hid well. If I could just have more projection on the 32FF frame.... But no. Instead its just too high and too wide cups. I was used to bras not correctly following my breast roots at the side after getting past a DD cup, but the 32GG really takes it to another level. I don't understand why the wires have to be under my arms, I don't have any boobs there - they're on the front of my chest! In addition to this, the cups now are so wide that they dig into my arms in a very uncomfortable way and after wearing I have to scrape off deodorant because they sit right up in my armpit.
Then the band issues - too tall! I don't need 3 hooks, I don't have the torso length for that. It just causes pain over my shoulder blades as my torso is too short and my breasts too high set to wear the band below my shoulder blades like you see on all the photos of the models.
Worst thing is that I've now gained even more bust volume so need to size up a few cups. I have no idea how I'm going to manage now (and unfortunately my attempts with Ewa and Comexim showed they were either comparable to the Satine, or worse in the places I have issues with). There's a lot of good about this bra, even if it doesn't really work for me. For starters, the 32 is really too tight for size. I use an extender. (I do love the support of the 3 hooks and eyes though!). It's a beautiful light shade of pink (not beige - so don't think you'll be easily able to match the undies with something from another brand. Had to go back and purchase undies afterwards. For deep breasts that aren't full at the centre, this would probably be great. But the gore doesn't tack - even though the bra fits (unusual situation, I realize). It's very supportive and gives great shape. Material is quite firm (not particularly luxe but not unpleasant). Definitely go up a cup size - and probably a band size too. I'd even suggest going up 2 cup sizes as this bra is known for fitting very small.
Not my style, alas. The bottom of the cup is fabric and the top is mesh, with a ribbon edge. The top doesn't quad boob but the mesh lays oddly (tight and flat), giving me what feels like an elf-shoe.
Under the armpit area the edge is slightly ruched elastic which doesn't stretch as much as rub. The cup itself comes up way too high under my arms, so I'd say this style isn't good for petite people.
My left boob seems to have migrated more than the right and is suddenly feeling larger, spilling over in the center of bras. It's definitely trying to crawl over the ...inside of this one, despite the gore wires being about as close together as possible. the right boob gaps at the top and because of the way the ribbon is made or sewn, the wrinkle is noticeable.
I ticked that the gore tacks but it's like 1/4 inch away from tacking, but that could be not enough depth on the left side or boobs so close set that the gore is pushed away.
Although I fill the bottom, I also don't fill it. Very odd wrinkling on bottom outside edge.
I bought this off eBay so it might be a second but it doesn't have the same quality feel as other bras I've tried. Read more 112 more words
I loooove this bra. I love that it's a plunge, so I get a firm tack without it bothering me and pushing my tissue out of the way, which happens to me in higher gores with hard wires (if the wires are soft, I get a soft tack). The straps are comfortable, and I like that they are closer to the centre of the bra in the back, than to the sides. Due to this, they do show under some of my dresses, but it's great for summer tops. It's very comfortable, and the rosy nude tone, while it doesn't match my skin tone, looks nude under white and ...thin clothes, since I'm quite fair. The band and cups fit very well, even though the cups are a bit too wide, but it's not a problem. They wrinkle a little on the sides, but it's not noticeable unless the bra is visible on the sides (which I avoid).
It's somewhat uncomfortable for lounging, though, so I avoid wearing it if I know I'm going to do so, because then the wires dig into my skin. It is very comfortable for daily wear though, if you're doing anything else other than lounging, even if you're very active. Read more 96 more words
I absolutely love this bra! I got it used in a lot of bras but when I got it I found out it was a 32gg instead of 32g (my size). It is just too big for me. I love the floral, it is comfortable to wear and is super cute.
This is a really comfortable bra for me, the usual problems I have are shoulder straps being too far apart, this is fine. And not being able to fill top of cups on molded/full cup bras. As this is a plunge that isn't as much of a problem. The material is soft. I was not looking for a plunge bra, just one that fitted for everyday, this is a little bit more "cleavagey" than I would want for every day but is so comfortable will over look that. it is very lightly padded and i would not say it adds any bulk to bust.
Runs tight on the band, which I was warned about, but I was hoping it would still fit. Alas the band was not my problem. I'm narrow, projected, FOB, and it simply did not work for me. It squished my boobs into a pointy conical shape well below their natural resting point(and literally made them droop over the band) and gave me dreaded quadboob because of the bad squishing.
White strappy top by Bravissimo with built in bra. Bought years ago, worn few times and been forgotten in drawer as i just didnt get on well with it. Cups were really roomy, made my breasts look bigger than they are, but straps didnt make me feel secure as usually i wear bra with wider straps. It is longer in body than black one i've listed and did cover my tummy, measures 43cm down back and 48cm down centre front, not including straps. Band stretchy. As the top is white it has some light discolouration from antiperperant in underarm area. I havent tried to use a bleach or similar, it might work. I believe still plenty of wear in it for somebody who loves strappy tops.
Bought this bra from another Bratabase as new or worn very, very little.
I could tell already from the pictures that this is the perfect style for me, and indeed it is! I love the round shape, and the bra is just all-over pretty <3
The band is barely okay on the tightest hooks as new, but it will be too big in no time. That was no surprise, though, as the measurements clearly indicated that – a 30H would be the correct size for me, but there were no bras listed in that size https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_smile.gif" alt=":)" /> Anyway, the band isn’t THAT big, so it ...most probably won’t be a problem to narrow it down once it’s stretched out.
Three hooks = yay. The straps adjust all the way = yay (and still they’re almost too long). The straps are completely flat and soft, and don’t stretch horribly much, which indicates that they’re probably quite comfortable to wear.
Oh and the side support construction on the cups is just genius!
A very comfortable bra, although the outer mesh on the cups is scratchy to me. If I am wearing a shirt that's not a problem though. My husband picked this one out for me as a present, and although I am not a huge fan of how it looks, I find myself coming back to it whenever I need to feel secure and not super busty (not that it minimizes anything, but with the higher sides I feel less like I may fall out, and the lift is more natural and less in-your-face). This size is too loose in the band for me - ...I must have recently lost circumference as I'm wearing all my 32GGs on the tightest hook and wishing they were tighter. The cups are good though. I do get some wrinkling on the bottom, but that's because I wear my straps on the looser side. If I tighten the straps the wrinkling goes away, and there is plenty of strap for me to tighten. Nursing in this bra isn't a problem for me. I am actually thinking of purchasing another of this bra in a 30HH, because it is so comfortable other than being too loose. Read more 97 more words
Great everyday bra, comfortable and does not show through t-shirts. Band is very stretchy, cups may run a bit on the small side, perhaps half a cup size too small. Straps are a bit wide set for my liking; they rub my arms. Center gore is high, but not uncomfortable. Wires do not rise too high or rub under arms.
This doesn't fit me. I fill the bottom of the cup, but at the center of the cup, at the seams, there is empty fabric. I can pinch maybe 1 1/2 cm of empty cup. This gives a really pointy shape that I don't like. It cuts slightly at the top of my breasts, but I don't think a bigger cup would help, since my breasts are not shaped in a way that could fill out the point/tip of the cup. They may be good if your breasts have more forward projection than mine.
It looked alright. At first. But it did nothing to lift or shape, and it really pulled my boobs downwards and outward. Also slight tendency to look pointy. I wore it for a few hours and I got horrible back pains and muscle tension. Also had to readjust ALL THE TIME, since my boobs tried to escape upwards and inwards. Half my boob would literally hang out of it, towards the center. No cleavage what do ever. Slightly lifted, but made me look bigger with clothes since the cups are so far apart. Really tight at the top of the cup, but a little wrinkly at the middle/bottom. Will probably work a lot better for bottom heavy breasts. Mine simply wouldn't corporate with this bra.
It's a unpadded half-cup. It's too small in cups for me and I don't think the shape is ok for my soft, heavy on the bottom breast. This bra would be better for somebody with fuller boobs. It's a pretty bra, black and sexyhttps://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_wink.gif" alt=";)" />
