I purchased this off of ThredUp. In the listing it was only sized as a “Medium” with measurements of “30 inches” laying flat. So I had no idea of what size I was getting and took the gamble and purchased. Sadly this isn’t anywhere near my size so I will be returning. But, it’s pretty well made for what it is. The inside bra doesn’t seem to show through the outside. The tank top fabric is soft and of a good weight. Straps are fully adjustable. The band fabric is made of a very stretchy mesh with a foam material cup. I can’t comment on the fit and support, but this band was really stretchy so I don’t see this as something you’d wear for great support. But on hot days when you don’t want to wear an actual bra, you can’t go wrong. I liked it so much I purchased a new one on sale directly from Bravissimo in my size.
I've emailed ThredUp customer service several times recommending they put extra information/more accurate sizes on their Bravissimo listings. They always say something like "workers take information directly from the tag", no matter how many times I tell them that size 8 or whatever does not help me know whether or not it will actually fit. If that top says 34FF on the tag, consider sending them a picture. Maybe if enough of us complain/explain how the sizing really works, they'll be more accurate in their descriptions.
summersunshine Yes! That’s a great idea. I’ll send them an email and make a complaint. I’ll also point out the fact it cost me money to ship back something I wouldn’t have purchased had the label been listed. It would also be nice if they listed I’d the size was a US size or a UK size when it came to clothing. Some people aren’t aware there is even a difference.
Was fitted into this bra by bravissimo covent garden in february 2014 so measurements may be off as the bra has stretched a little. Overall it's a nice bra but i feel like it could do with a slightly wider band to distribute the weight more. Also recently i've found the bra to be more tight and the gore has started to dig in a little but not uncomfortably, though that may be due to weight variation and tissue migration. I feel like the quality is oke but not the best and that the bra has almost run its course and is almost ready for the bin.
Black strappy top by Bravissimo with built in bra bought years ago, worn and now been lying in drawer as no longer fits. It is very short in body ~32.2cm back down centre measure and about 34.5cm measuring down centre in front, these measurements exclude straps. It is well used in past but still can be worn by somebody who loves strappy tops. Band is stretchy. I felt insecure with these straps as usually would wear bras with wider straps.
Quality is on a par with Panache or slightly less. Comfort is great, usually put it on; adjust (swoop, jiggle & fall into cup) and forget it all day. It does tend to stretch out easily between washings - snugging back up on fresh clean wear. Can be bumpy under T-shirts due to heavier seams, but I don't mind - everyone knows I'm wearing a bra anyway. The 2 tone colouring can show thru lightweight lighter colours so don't assume pattern not seen.
My favorite bra! It's very plain but it looks great by itself and under clothes, and it is SO COMFORTABLE. I love the straps -- they're a nice soft material, no nubby embroidery along the sides like so many bras do (why??? it just gets snagged on everything...), and they're wide. This was the first bra I was properly fitted into a year and a half ago, and I still adore it -- it's stretched a little (I have it on a tighter hook now) but still supportive. It's a wonderful, comfortable and attractive everyday bra. If it weren't so difficult to get Bravissimo bras in the States I'd have a dozen!
This is an incredibly comfortable bra, but I'm unsure whether I have the right size for me. I usually have troll with my boobs being able to fill the bottom of a cup so it was a nice surprise when this bra just about managed to do so. The straps are also sturdy without digging into my shoulders and the underwiring is the perfect width for my boobs, which are more to the side. The few small problems are that the top of the middle underwiring doesn't quite lay flat against my sternum. The cup on my smaller (only marginally smaller) right breast also looks a little wrinkled. I also had to hook this on the middle hook straight away.
