Loving this sports bra! I've already described the construction in the review of size 36GG, so I'll only add here what's different. After re-ordering this bra in a smaller cup size (as the size up was cutting in at the arm, sign for a wireless bra that the cups are too large), I've been wearing it quite regularly for workouts as well as under loose tops. I've machine washed it (delicate cycle) and it's been surviving very well, looks like new so far. The position of the straps on the shoulders is very comfortable because it's so close to the neck and the straps are sitting directly on the ...muscle. This, together with the racerback, are solving a problem I didn't realise I had - I get a more comfortable range of movement of the shoulder because the straps don't interfere at all. I have measured this bra after it's been worn a few times, whereas the 36GG I measured new. I notice that the unstretched band measures 5cm larger on the 36G - I don't know if this is all because it already stretched with use or there was some variation from the beginning as well. I haven't noticed it being overall any less supportive, but I have moved to using the 2nd or 3rd set of hooks. I would anyway recommend sizing down in this model, both in the cup and in the band. Regarding measurements, the full height of the bra lying flat is 36cm. Read more 139 more words
This is an absolutely fantastic bra - probably the most comfortable bra I own! It runs small in the cup so order a cup size up, and the band is less stretchy than some so judge whether or not you will want to go up a band size. My "normal" size is a 34G, but in this bra I ended up purchasing a 36G and it fit brilliantly. The materials are very nice, firm and breathable the lace trim is very pretty but not itchy like some lace. The ladies at Bravissimo are SO helpful with fitting advice and helping you get the right size, and also have a a great return policy so you can feel comfortable ordering from them even if you are not in the UK.
Hi, I was wondering if you could tell me your ribcage measurement. Bratabase says that the band of this bra would be too small for me, even though my ribcage measures 35 inches and I usually wear a 34G and 36 bands are too loose for me. Thanks!
First of all, I ordered the wrong size. That being said, I love the feel of this bra. The back is absolutely gorgeous. The hook at the top is frustrating. Super frustrating. If it wasn't so damn pretty, and if you didn't just have to hook it once per day, I would write off this bra altogether, but it's so damn pretty in the back. I don't even have any backless shirts, but I want to go buy a bunch of baggy tank tops so I can show it off. I'm obviously going to have to order the correct size, but that's doable.
This review is about the re-launched Inspire Sports as opposed to the original model.
I liked the original Bravissimo Inspire and was looking forward to trying the re-launch. Unfortunately the band of this bra runs extremely loose by Bravissimo standards. Generally I need Bravissimo bras in the larger of the two band sizes I typically get, but in this case it was riding up my back on the tightest hook! I am going to size down two band sizes from my usual Bravissimo band size in my reorder.
The bottom of the cups are a bit wrinkled because there isn't enough immediate projection to satisfy my breasts. ... It's especially bad on my larger breast and I hope it won't get worse when I try the 32H. I think the cup is about the right size for me, though, and the underwire seems to hit me in about the right spot.
The straps are only partially adjustable because they widen over the shoulders. I couldn't get them short enough.
On a bounce test I could see that this bra worked much better for me than the other sports bras I have tried, but it suffers from the same problem (for me) with the original Inspire in that it doesn't go high enough. I want a sports bra that comes all the way to my neck like the Panache does. Still, the tissue that is contained is held reasonably firm, even with the too-long straps. This will probably become my regular sports bra once I find the right band size. I still don't know if it will be sufficient for high-impact cardio, though - I'm guessing not, since not all my breast is contained.
Update: I later tried the 32H - http://bra.pe/RCQQ/ - and the 34GG - http://bra.pe/RCQR/ - the latter of which fit. From having tried just the 36G I would have said the band runs very loose, but perhaps it was a fluke, because the 32 was too tight and the 34 fit. I would say that based on the 34 and the 32 the band runs a bit looser than is typical for Bravissimo, but not horribly loose compared to most brands. Read more 268 more words
I think that this bra runs one cup size large, as this is one of my typical sizes and it is too large for me.
I think this bra would suit a full on top shape better, although there is some elastic in the lace. I gape a lot in the top, and the gore doesn't lie flat. I also have wrinkles in the bottom because there isn't enough projection in the bottom of the cup for me. The underwire seems about right but I get wrinkles there, too, probably as part of the overall effect of the bra being too large for me.
The shape I get isn't very nice, but the bra doesn't fit me so that's to be expected.
This bra was ok however it never really fitted properly in the cup as there was always a bit too much fabric around the top. I had this fitted in the store and so I know this was the correct size. I found that after a month the band had stretched quite a lot and no longer offered the support needed and after 2 months the wires started coming through and poking me in the sternum. This bra is pretty and feminine however I don't think it is particularly good value for money.
