I like this bra, the Niya is the only bra that comes anywhere near to matching my shape but the bigger sizes - Jj+ are much bulkier and that’s a shame also the seams show through my clothes.. I guess they’ve made it like that to give more support to the larger size but it’s just not as attractive. I do like the wider straps and the blue colour and pattern but I don’t like the height of the cups.. they are lower in the smaller size. Overall it is comfortable, pretty, supportive and washes well. I have very wide boobs that are full all over and sit high on my chest so it’s hard to find a bra where I can fill the bottom of the cups properly, even in this one.
My purchase of the Isla in Jun 2016 was part of my Bravissimo buying frenzy that lasted for over 2 years. Bravissimo has the Isla related to the Alana and many others which I find confusing as in my experience it is quite dissimilar to the Alana. This bra was always going to be too small for me so a proper review is not possible. That said, I really liked the colorway, the band was tts, the cups were comfortable and the straps were typical Bravissimo as in not too soft or too springy. I would buy an Alana, Selina or Georgia in this colorway without hesitation.
Bravissimo a year or so ago launched the Tessie which was a very similar colorway to the Isla. Based on a fellow Bratabase member's review. I steered clear of the Tessie because of her fit concerns. I do love the color pattern, baby blue with pink straps...sigh.
Bravissimo has released LG220, also named Isla. While the Isla in this review is an underwired balconette which went up to a K cup, this new bra is an underwired full cup in a gorgeous neon pink and goes up to an L cup.
I find Bravissimo's recent full cup offerings to be less desirable than their balconette's, mainly because of the width of the front profile I get with them as I seem to be up to 2 inches wider in a narrow wired full cup than a similarly sized balconette.
I probably never gave this bra a chance. I had pretty much given up on thinking any 38K from any brand was going to fit but it was available in Bravissimo's semi-annual sale so I figured why not. Yes, it was too small. No I did not try to return it. Usually when this happens, I say to myself oh well, maybe I will grow into it but of course I never do.
The cups look already fairly tall on the model too so I guess it only goes worse in large cups.
