    Fits

    Update: 3 years later.
I still own the very same bralette that got tons of wear and been in the washing machine many times. I don’t think I own any other bra that would survive what this Bralette been through. The lace didn’t tear, hooks didn’t get damaged. It did stretch a little but not that would become a completely different size.
Even the fact I’ve lost a bit of weight and wear size down in bras and bralettes now - I still can wear this one but it is just less compressing/fitted.
Since 2019 I’ve been purchasing Zara bralettes regularly from the website and whenever one pops out ... on reselling platforms. I own / owned all the colours and will carry on the purchases. My collection has around 15 of them - if not more. They are certainly addictive like EM bras 🤭. It is a total game changer that made my life so much better when I can’t or don’t want to wear my Ewa and Comexim bras.
However if you do need something more sturdy, check Flora Bralette as the lace is a bit thicker and stronger but expect less stretch in the cups.

I got this bralette recently as I feel like sometimes I just need wireless bra for wearing it at home but at the same time get some support. I must say the bra has it all. I didn’t wear it for long time but couple of hours while doing some tidying up at home definietly made it to pass the test!
It’s bit pricey but feels like it’s totally worth it. I tried before Freya fancies top, Cleo bralette, Wacoal and few other high street but none could meet my expectations. The only other bralettes that I can accept is Bali and Due Lune.
Cups are good volume for my recent ups and downs, and probably I could do with 30E-F as well. They have little of stretch.
Band feels comfortable and secure, not too tight (I’m 72cm underbust).
Straps placement works well on my narrow shoulders, they don’t adjust but I’m fairly high set and it feels fine.
Now need to get the grey one and I’m sorted for next couple of months!

I've been looking at this one for ages. Looks good on you

    • 1

That looks so pretty on you! Yay for a good fit :)

Such a pretty pattern. Glad it works well. :-)

This is so gorgeous! Its so hard to find a good fitting bralette - so glad you found your unicorn

    • 1

That’s so cute! Glad it worked out.

Thanks ladies for all kind words!! I totally recommend this bralette to whoever can fit into its range ;)

    • 3

HHmm, I might have to consider this one! Looks comfortable and pretty.

    • 2

Ooh! Wow! Thanks for sharing this review and the pictures. It’s super helpful!

    • 3

Ohhh I love this! Super cute. Thanks for posting pictures! I am not sure if you have tried the Tutti Rouge options--I haven't but those are cheaper. They have been reviewed by a few bloggers.

    • 2

The wide band looks so comfy. My bf is super nervous about me sharing pictures as well. He always makes sure there is nothing in the background and tells me to remove all exif data.

    • 1

wendybien I just had a look at them and i think ill give them a try also! :)

aboobaccount my bf works in information security so i hope he will never find out about that hahah :D . And yes, the band is pretty comfortable - I'm petite person, 5.1' only and usually find longer bras to cause me discomfort but this one seems fine!

    Didn't fit

I’m going to piggyback off of alisa ’s excellent review of the same bra in 34HH/J. My experience was almost identical - def check out the comments for more good info on this bra.

Me: FOT, close-set, center full, relatively soft tissue, somewhat wide roots, pendulous.

The Zara is beautiful to look at and well constructed overall. wireless bra that actually keeps my breasts at a decent height. If you can sister size down to a smaller band/bigger cup than your usual Bravissimo size, it might work, but the looseness of the band combined with the non-adjustable straps makes this less than ideal for larger ... cups - unless you have firmer tissue and/or somewhat self-supported breasts.

The cups are have a side sling and are built very well for my shape with a nice, high gore. But this bra is at least 1 cup size too small for me & the band is very stretchy, which means the straps take the weight of my boobs and they dig in quite badly after a bit. There is a really miserable thick seam right at the pressure point where the strap sits at the top of the shoulder. (See pics) Yeowch!

This was the bra that taught me what a bra blog tried to explain - though I'm not at all projected, because I am pendulous I need more projection @ the wire. Otherwise my breasts push the wires down and out of my IMF, causing the tops of my boobs to spill out as the cups are pushed downwards, making the band ride up and causing a lot of stomach & shoulder discomfort. Sheesh! #liveandlearn

I kept it - but I will definitely let it go once I find something more comfortable to take it’s place.

      Thanks for the review!
I agree Zara could be so amazing if we had the option to size up in cups / size down in band. I'd try 32JJ/K if available! So many reviews on the Bravissimo site recommend to size up in cup which is not possible for us at the upper end of the size spectrum.

    • alisa Mmm-hmm! Seeing as Bravissimo 's entire MO is catering to the DD+ crowd, you'd think they would offer more selection towards the JJ/K/KK/L end of the spectrum.

    • CAGirlGoingPolish I actually noticed they limited some sizes.
Of course they did a lot compared to in 2015 when they had like 3 bras go up to L. Even the sports bra goes up to L and there is a selection of 6-7 bras to choose.
But I noticed on many new bras, they cut out 28 bands, they stop at 30J and leave 30JJ-L crowd hanging.

    • alisa yup! Boo!

    34HH-J

    Didn't fit

First I want to thank martka00 for this bra. She would not stop to recommend it and now I finally have one.
I actually really like it and it's better than I expected. Okay... my expectations of non-wired bras are pretty low: I just wish I be able to wear it to sleep and lounge a bit. I never expected for it to be an option for full day wear and leaving the house at my size, and it isn't.

First sizing... on Bravissimo page they recommend to size up. I agree, but it's not possible for me. At 32JJ/K currently this bra does not come ... in my size. So my only option is to size up in band and hope for the best. I think my 34HH/J would fit a true 34HH best. It is wearable in larger size maybe up to 34J/JJ (my sister size) but there will be bit over overspill either on centre or sides. Since it's a non wired bra it doesn't bother me too much that the "cups" don't fit correctly. I probably use part of the band as extra room for my boobs on the sides. Also there will be mono boob, it can't be avoided as the cups don't seperate.

I really like how comfortable the bra is. It's like wearing no bra. I even prefer this over my sleep bras as they feel a bit bulky with their padding. Zara looks and feels delicate. You think it would be weak then, but it isn't. I think for a wireless bra it supports my boobs quite well. But there is a lot of weight on the straps. They cut in after longer wear (or thats why I only wear it to lounge) also the band is bit large on me and rides up so slightly. The decorative lace at the band will also roll up, I even had to hold it down to take my photo. It is what it is, but it doesn't bother as it's so delicate.

The straps are non-adjustable. They are just okay to me but I doubt they work for everyone. For Bralette with adjustable straps I recommend Bravissimo Nova.
On the other side there are no plastic bits on the straps so they are comfy to lie down and nothing cuts in. I think it's either this or that...
I wish Bravissimo would expand the size range and make the Zara Super Bralette in sizes JJ/K and KK/L I'm sure it would sell like hot cakes. It's already good as it is but would be so much better if I could get my actual size.

Preach! I called in to Bravissimo to say the same darn thing! I kept this bra, and only this bra from my orders, but it fooled me. :(

I wore the 30HH/J a couple hours the first day - no prob. Band was definitely in the 32, not 30 range and was slightly loose on the tightest hooks. But seemed ok.

Second day - poor boobs were drooping a solid inch below the band and as a result the thick seam under the strap actually *was* cutting in to the front of my shoulders quite a bit. Ouch!

So! What I've learned here is that tho you're a 32JJK and I'm around 30J/JJ/K your breasts appear to be more projected and your tissue definitely firmer than mine - no wonder they sit up so nicely off the band!

Also! TIL from a bra blog that even tho I'm not projected at all, because I'm pendulous I still need some projection at the bottom of the cup so my boobs don't push up and out of the cups.

Otherwise the heavy, pendulous tissue slowly but surely start to push the wires downwards out of the IMF and the cups start to droop as the breast tissue spills out wherever it can (Center mostly, for me)

Thanks for the opportunity to compare! I'll try to get my bra measurements up, too - for bra science. :-)

    • 1

CAGirlGoingPolish Actually they drop down too but I mostly wear the bra to lounge or sleep. Even then in the morning I notice straps cut in as my boobs "rolled" around in the bra. 32J - Bravissimo » Nova Lounge Bra (LN764) is better to keep them seperated, and the sleep bras keep them in but are not that comfy.

The longest time I wore Zara was when i came home at 6pm and went to bed at 10pm it was a relief to wear this after my wired bra had hurt me. But I didn't do much. Def not recommend in our size range to wear it full day out and doing stuff. (Unless you have self -supportive boobs)

Actually I also have very pendulous breasts and they don't look projected if I'm braless but as soon as I put on a bra I need projection. I wonder if there is a difference with firm / less firm boobs. Btw my boobs are not very firm :(

Also didn't we talk other Bravissimo styles? I cannot find the post anymore and I think I had forget to answer.

    • 1

Wow! Sounds like we have more similarities than I realized!

I liked the comfort of the Nova, but holy Jerusalem, it literally made my boobs look like I plopped them on a shelf. Just a flat east-west line across my chest. That's how I realized I'm wide-rooted for sure! Still prefer narrow wires, maybe because I'm so close-set. Still learning something new every day here!

To answer your question, I had responded to your Lacey review a little while ago. In fact, I placed a new Bravissimo order today, and I decided to try the Dina model thanks to your review! (thank you!) I find most of what seems to work for you looks like it would work for me. Fingers crossed!

    • CAGirlGoingPolish Ah it was on my Lacey review :) will answer there.

Nova I got when I had a shoulder injury and my boobs made it worse while sleeping so I used it as a sleep bra. I liked it as such in hot summer months since it seperated. I agree it's not a good look and can be east west. Also I have 32J and there is bit of side overspill if I seperate my boobs at the center (with wear they spill to the center). Also the strap adjustors cut into shoulders even though when I'm laying there isnn't much weight on them --- honestly I doubt any wireless bra can give same shape and support like a wired bra for large non self supportive breasts...

    • CAGirlGoingPolish Good choice with Dina! Also a steal at the same price. I kept it in my Watch list in case anyone sends 32K back but no luck yet.
It's a good balconette style but has better shape of wire and is more open on top than Alana. I'm mad that they discontinued it.

    • ugh I meant "sale price"

    • 1

After 4 and a half months of use the bra looks quite rough. There are loose elastic threads and a seam has come undone. Added this new pic: http://bra.pe/IsvY/

    28E-F

    Fits

Zara is a bralette, made of stretchy lace. The sizing is more like in underwire bras which is very nice, cup size and band size separately! I usually wear 28F / 28FF in underwire bras, or 30E / 30F if the band is tight. The customer service from Bravissimo adviced me to get Zara in 28E-F and the fit is spot on. Cups don´t cut in, band is perfectly supportive, cups stretch slightly and the shape is very good - not too pointy or droopy. The band rolls up on me though. Beware that straps are NOT adjustable at all, so it is a hit or miss. For ... me it was perfect.

So I like the Zara bralette very much! What I don´t like is the cut of the matching shorts. I don´t know why, but at the website there is always only a front photo of matching bottoms - I would definitely need a backside photo as well! I thought the "short" cut would cover my buttocks but it doesn´t. The cut in the back is like in brasilian briefs which I don´t like - I might cut up the shorts and use the lace parts and sew something more comfortable myself. Size M in true to size in my opinion though.

Welcome to the Zara club!! :D I don't like the matching pants too. While I love brazilians these are uncomfortable and hardly ever wear them. I foung better ones in Tesco to match my black and lilac bralettes (and sooo much more cheaper)

    • 1

I really like the look of this bralette. It looks good on you. However, the straps not being adjustable would be a deal breaker for me since I'm so low set/tall. Too bad because it looks comfortable.

    • 1

Oh this looks great on you! I really like the look of this Bralette.

    • 1

      Looks great!!!

    • 1

Is this the new Cornflower colourway? I didn't like it on the website, as it looked like a washed out blue, but on your picture it looks like a lovely shade of grey. There are mixed reviews about sizing up or sizing down in this. I might end up ordering two sizes.

    • 1

Yes, it is the cornflower blue. I was afraid it would be too blue to my taste, but it has this greyish tint. I think the colour is seen best in the photos where I´m wearing the bra. The ones with only the bra look too gray - it is not that grey at all in reality.

    • 1

I was also confused by reviews and asked Bravissimo about sizing advice. They told me that it runs small and is not made in my size and discouraged me to try it. (I'm a 30JJ/32J)

    • 1

I love the color. It looks the same as on my Lacey bra it's also called cornflower blue.

    • ^^
That´s too bad :( But the Zara is available in HH-J cups. If the cups in bigger sizes are the same, then maybe 32HH-J could fit you. I guess you´ll find out by only trying it.

I actually googled "cornflower blue" because English is not my native language and I so hate pale blue colour. I am very pleased with Zara´s colour :)

I wish I can trace out the pattern in this bralette, or else I have to wait till it is old enough to retire - and then hack it.

    • Maybe I still risk it one day... but I'm still building my everyday staple collection after my weight loss. First have to get the basics. Although Zara is a good basic too. I was surprised they talked me out of it, I thought more likely they try to make a sale. I'm not sure if I can trust them since they gave me false information about other bras too. I mean it's obvious Zara comes up to J cup but they said it does not come in HH.

    • Wow I just read again what you wrote. They told you to size down from F/FF to E/F?! Interesting.

    • 2

@Fairy89 Thanks! I've been waiting for a new colourway forever. I already have a black bralette. The neon orange was sold out in my size and I was afraid of the white not staying white for a long time.

    • 1

^^ Yes they told me to size down! Note: both sizes were available, 28E-F and 28FF-G. They told me the fabric stretches and the person who wrote to me said she also wears 28F / 28FF in other bras and Zara fits her in 28E-F.

    Hasn't set fit

    Fits ribcage 27
    B. perimeter 11.3
    Stretched Band 30.1
    Band Length 21
Cup width 6.5 (taken from bottom of cups horizontally end, 8.5 across deepest bottom part of cup 2" up)
    Cup depth 9.5-11ish
    Cup height 9
Cup separation 1.0 (2 at top)
Gore height 6.5 (5 from bottom of cups up)
    Wing height 5
    Strap width 1.25
    Strap length 13-16.5
    Hooks 4

Every bit as supportive and uplifting as a usual underwire without being smashed in or half my boob left out of the cup.

The fit for my full on bottom shape is just are cozy and wonderful as I'd heard others advise. This is giving my amazing Arla a run ... for her money even though Zara hasn't any kind of underwire. This one is managing to hold my breasts in during exercise even though I'd not describe this as a sports style so much as a leisure, comfort bra. Typically my boobs are all the hell over the place with no support or coverage in this kind. Especially when bending over or laying down. I may not have a lot of tissue to work with but it's just such a relief to have basic security that's neither just modesty, nor straped down & crunched in, pinching.
Despite having only just gotten this bralette, it's actually concerning to me that there is only 1 larger size than this one in my proper band size, after this one

I'd say it's worth going for the sister size needed and having a tailor take in the difference for those who are considering this style but are sized out by Bravvisimo not having theirs on offer.

    34HH/J

    Fits

    Normally wear a 34HH
I would prefer a band that didnt roll up for more support, the entire 1-2 inches rolls and just sits in the intermamory fold. (Perhaps the tanktop version would have helped and had the weight hold down the band?) Without much strap help, it requires support from the straps, and adds pressure there. Straps also seem to want to crumple up/ not sit flat and are not adjustable. Aside from the band, the center does not touch my sternum at all, and would look very uni-boob if I wore this under any shirt as the material simply goes from apex to apex.
The cup area is ... somewhat wide and somewhat not projected enough (Im learning with this shipment Bravissimo and me are not the same shape), due to this, the cup forces tissue into armpits somewhat. This is a bit irritating when I move my arm back and forth. I was hoping to use this as a summer lounge around the house/ sleep top, but the material may be slightly too abrasive/not as soft as I hoped. The material feels soft, but I think the holes in the fabric combined with me not being used to having that much tissue pushed into my arm's path that combine to make it irritating.
Especially if you are a 34J I would urge you to consider sizing up in the cup if larger sizes become available (this is the largest size currently), Im not sure there's much extra room. (A note from after measuring, my bust is normally about 46-47 inches and measuring with this on it is squishing me to 43 inches- explaining why it feels like so much tissue is squished in my armpits, because it is squishing me four inches. For a bra meant to fit 34:13, this is measuring at only a 9 inch difference, not 13)

Nipple bumps definitely show as this is unpadded, although since there is an outer layer and lining layer, a skilled seamstress could likely add padding if wanted, however these two layers are sewn at each seam, so it'd take a bit of effort.

I really liked the quality detail that I've seen in the Bravissimo bras. I got the caramel colorway- a sort of coppery medium brown color. For the hooks in the band they used rose gold. It seems like a high quality touch and complements the color nicely.

    Didn't fit

This bra and the Bravissimo Flora are basically identical in shape. Of the two, this is the looser one. The band feels like it's about one size too big. I was fastening it on the tightest hooks right out of the box. Cups are true to size with plenty of stretch to accommodate monthly variance in size. The whole thing is made of stretch mesh with a stretch lace overlay. Seams and a side support panel give the cups some structure and lift. There's a bit of separation between the breasts, but mine will slide toward the middle after I've had it on for a while. It's less ... supportive than the Flora, but still good for a wireless bra.

On the downside, the straps can't be adjusted. They're a bit looser than the straps on the Flora, but not much. There is a seam on the straps right at the top of the shoulder that can get irritating. Another potential annoyance is the longline portion of the band, which rolls up easily. It doesn't bother me, but it may bother others.

I got it in a pretty cornflower blue color that was on clearance. The lace is a basic patterned lace, not excessively flowery but definitely feminine looking.

Why are people making Bralettes for big boobs? they simply don't work. I've got a Uni-boob, the extended band rolls up the straps roll up and cut in because they are not adjustable.

These bralettes are wonderful. Incredibly comfortable for lounging or sleeping. Because there are no wires, the breast tissue does tend to move around while sleeping and there is a bit of a uniboob effect, but it is worth it. The long line effect makes this potentially a top on its own.
