Attributes: Thin straps, super soft band, good apex projection, flexible gore, and a closed cup edge.
This molded cup has significantly more apex projection than Wacoal La Femme and Lace Affair t-shirt bras. The thin molded cup material seems nearly identical. The shape under thin knits is also similar--rounded orbs.
But, B.Splendid is more soft and comfortable than the aforementioned t-shirt bras. The wires are foam encapsulated and don't bite ribs. The band is thin, super soft, and very stretchy. The cups are covered in soft microfiber.
This gore is thin, flexible, and easy to alter. It appears the gore will stretch wider and contract to accommodate ...more or less close-set breasts. This will be helpful to many.
The cup is more narrow than I prefer. I need wider wires than Wacoal offers in 34DDD. This cup is 5.75" wide and 10" deep. But, the cup is quite closed. The alterations this bra would require to fit me would shallow the cup and cause more quadding. So, this isn't a "wild alteration" candidate. Darn.
This straps may lure some wearers, but they are my least favorite feature of this bra.
If you want a comfortable t-shirt bra with better than most apex projection, better than most immediate projection, and thin straps, try B.Splendid. Read more 103 more words
Did you ever find any bras that are similar to this bra? The cup size is almost perfect for me, like unicorn perfect, but the wire sit on my ribs at an uncomfortable spot. Probably that I need a 28 but they don't make it.
The Wacoal Bodysuede has some amazing characteristics. Other than that, Lace Affair and La Femme are the closest that I've found. rufflechai
Ding ding ding! This bra is a great fit. Very comfortable, might order in more colors in time. A great bra for shallow/wide/tall boobs. It's definitely not a plunge - there are v-neck shirts I won't be able to wear with this.
The best thing about this bra? It fits. Not only did it fit (after two hours trying every cup in the place, I wouldnt recommend the plastic.... That poor sale's associate.), it fits like the gods assembled that 86% Nylon/ 14% Spandex bra just for my body. Honestly, I forgot I wore a bra most of the time... It just became apart of me. Who I am, what I stood for, and everything flattering to inelegant; this bra embraced it all. During our journey together (two and a half years), my weight yo yo (yo) -ed about 15 pounds and this demi desire was all, bring it!! So ...it was brung and we don't like writing about it. I did everything wrong with this bra, wore it way too much in a week (all the weeks), may have exercised in it once or four times, put it in the drier without a bra safety friend bag, and the like; but its just now breaking down. When this bra returns to the gods I'm going to have a viking braial, it would like that.
However, there is a wire on the band under the armpit region that sometimes folds and actively stabs you... I'm pretty sure it's unintentional... And the straps might be a bit awkward and digging into your soul/ top of shoulders... but they are rather thin... they cant help it!! It has abandonment issues... or lazy. Fuck you lazy Desire! What kind of name is Desire anyways? You stripper bra! (Note these discomforts are not an every minute all day sort of things. Its just a temperamental bra. Now you know what b'tempt'd stands for. (Plus all this stuff is rather recent... I blame the drier.. and maybe other stuff.. like that chair.. Fucking chair fucking up my bras.))
At the reflection pool: I am going to buy this bra again. It lifts in all the right places, it can withstand a crazy bitch fit, it's cute (I mean look at the lace!! So lacey) It gives my breast a great round (uncone/tunnel) look. I really don't have a lot of cleavage shirts but the few I do... This bra rises to the occasion very nicely.
This bra is beautiful, the lace cups are lovely and completely hidden under tops including form fitting. The band is too large for me and the cups too small. The underwire is not fully under my boobs, the underwire does cut in going in toward the gore.
The color on the band, lace and straps is a vibrant turquoise, and the cups are a 'whiter' version of the same color. Beautiful triangle lace back and band. Straps adjust in the front (just barely long enough for my low set shape). The front closure is a plastic slide buckle and does not slip or twist inside its' anchor fabric. The gore is quite comfortable... right up against my sternum but out of the way of breast tissue. Shape is suited for wide and/or splayed, but managed to hold in my center closeness without spilling out. The look it created on me was an ...east/west spread. I couldn't force myself out towards the apex of the cups if I tried! Along with that, the cup width is too wide and the wires are longer than necessary, leaving marginal extra space under my arms. Consequently, the wires also sit a smidgen below my IMF, but thankfully not uncomfortably so. Sigh... if only the the cups were a little deeper and less wide...this would be the perfect bra for me!!! I really wanted this bra to be the one. The ultimate issue was filling out the top of the cups; on my larger side, it was maybe 1/8 of an inch too loose, while on my smaller side, it was very obviously too large. The straps also naturally fell at the point where my clavicle ends, which felt like they'd be prone to slip. The lining is lovely, the color is great, the lace is gorgeous, I love the little detail of the pretty pink bow. I returned this bra and purchased one band size down, 32DDD, and that solved all fit issues.
Finally a bra that fits! To be fair I just ripped it out of the packaging a few minutes ago, so I may have to edit this after I have owned the bra for awhile. There is no quadboob, no cup wrinkling. Everything feels supported but not squished. I had read in other reviews that this model gave some a more pointed shape. This is not so for me, I get a nice rounded shape. For the record I am FOT and slightly shallow. The band does provide stretch but stays in place. And it's sooo pretty!
Any issues I have with this bra are minor: 1) There ...is a teensy amount of gaping at the top of the cup on the smaller boob, mainly with movement. This could easily be compensated with strap adjustment, except... 2) The straps don't adjust quite short enough for me. I am 4' 11", so this is something I am used to. I may need to alter the straps as they stretch out, but certainly not a deal breaker 3) The lace is visible underneath some tops, but it is so pretty and comfy that I don't care!

This is a nice looking bra. It looks very good on, but it is substantial. I'm not sure why they call it a demi, since it covers a large part of my chest, and I'm not especially petite.
I probably need to size down in both the band and the cup, but this 34 fits like some brands' 32, in my opinion.
I find it itchy where the wires come up against my sternum.
