This bra is just absolutely stunning. I fell in love with the lush black and white contrasting embroidery and decided to take a chance on a completely unknown (to me) brand. BraStop had it on sale and I'm so glad that I tried this one. It fits really well and is so comfortable. The description of the bra only said it was padded, so I was surprised to find out it also has small push up pads incorporated into the bottom padding of the bra. It's not over the top, just gives a little extra lift and cleavage.
The detailing on this ...bra is just spectacular. The embroidery, lace, and bows are all finely crafted and luxurious looking. It has really interesting straps. The front, non-adjustable portion of the strap is a white firm elastic that is only about 0.25" (1/4") in width and is stabilized on the front with a black ribbon of about the same width. The white ruffle on each side of the strap extends the width to about 0.625" (5/8"). Despite the thinness of the actual loadbearing part of the front strap, it doesn't dig in to me at all and feels comfortable. The back, adjustable part of the strap is a standard 0.5" (1/2") black elastic.
The back of the cup is a molded cup that is thinly padded everywhere except for the extra thickness of the push up pad at the very bottom of the cup. The front of the cup is made of white mesh with one vertical seam up the center. The white embroidered flowers on the front are almost silvery white and have a lovely shimmer to them in the light.
The gore width on this bra is a little wider than I'm used to at 1.25", but it doesn't seem to cause me any problems (my breasts are a normal width apart, about 1.5 -2 fingers in between). The band seems to stretch a little bit more than my other 32 band bras, but not by much. I can wear it comfortably on the loosest hook. The wires feel fairly wide to me, which is good news for my wide roots. Underwires are somewhat flexible but not overly so. I think the embroidery on the front would probably show through on really thin or tight shirts, as it is just slightly raised, but should be fine under shirts with regular fabric.
Just a gloriously beautiful bra that I love for it's fine crafting as much as the lovely fit. Read more 335 more words
I bought this bra a long time ago and it's never fit, especially now that I wear a bigger size. Wish I'd ordered it bigger when I first got it, because it gives great cleavage and is so pretty and such an unusual color combination.
I would say it fits like a tight 30, but not as tight as a 28. Cups run small, especially since part of the cup is taken up by thick padding. So I guess it's like a tight 30DDD/E (UK).
The padding inside is like a sideways teardrop in the base of the cup to give push-up from beneath, and the molded cups are rather ...stiff. The result is a very round, cleavage-y profile. Wires are of average width and don't come up especially high under the arms. The straps are half-adjustable since the front half is all ruffle.
The bra is beautiful. The cups have a dark blue-ish purple floral lace laid over bright purple foam. The bright purple continues with corset-like laceup ribbon in the gore, little bows on the straps, and ruffle covering the first half of the straps. The band is made of the dark lace on the front, the wings are mesh of the same shade. Three rows of hooks and eyes.
I've worn the bra twice and washed it once. Shows no signs of wear. Read more 114 more words
This bra is beautiful but it is sized incredibly incorrectly. The "30" band was far too tight on my 27 inch rib cage. The satin-like fabric might have something to do with the sizing since it's not stretchy AT ALL (only 4 inches give). It actually started fraying on the sides by the hooks from trying to accomodate me. The gore was also too high, but I'm super close-set and have this problem with anything that's not a very low plunge. I'm not sure about how the cups fit since the band made it difficult to tell. I'm in between sizes (28DD/E) and I have a feeling the bra is too. The cup depth and wires weren't quite right for me. They seemed a bit too narrow and deep to be comfortable even if I were to use an extender for the band. Overall, I really wish this bra fit because it's so so pretty, but the tag is very misleading and did not work out for me.
It would be nice for someone else, but this bra was just all kinds of wrong for me. I'm not really into animal print, it was Much too small, and I'm not really a fan of push-ups. I had it on for about two minutes before nope-ing on out. Because of that I can't really give a great review, but it's a very well-made bra. I bought it as "worn once or twice" so it's been worn about 2 1/2 times by my guess. Still pretty much new.
This 34F Carmen bra was a bargain bought online when I was only beginning to figure out my correct bra size... The bra is very comfortable, but as the pictures show, the fit is all wrong. The cups looked huge when I took the bra out of its packaging, but are actually quite shallow and cause some quadboobing. The centre gore does not lie flat against my body. The band is not tight enough, so I wear the bra on the middle hooks (however, my real band size is 32, so this band is quite tight for a 34). Finally, the breast separation is quite extreme in this bra, even for my wide-set breasts.
Despite all these negatives, somehow this bra is wearable! The padding inside is nice to the touch, and the band sits comfortably low under the armpits. The colour is cute without being tacky. The quadboobing is not really noticeable under clothes, and the bra gives a nice shape overall.
The cups are covered with a soft knit in a fairly standard light skin tone, a blushy peach color. It's not mindblowingly luxurious, but it's not bad. A nice soft serviceable fabric. The cups are padded, not just at the front to avoid hi-beams, but with a push-up effect built in. The padding is approximately 3/4" thick at the bottom. (More on that later.) The cups are covered on the outside by a fine black stretch mesh, and embroidered with scrolling floral patterns that extend out past the padding of the cup-- very pretty, though DBF though it didn't suit my skin tone. The band ...is of the same black mesh, with 1/4" elastic and a small ribbon ruffle at top and bottom. There is one bone at each side, about 1" from the edge of the cup. The area between the side bone and cup is backed with a nonstretch mesh and embroidered with the same designs as the cup. The straps are fully elastic, and covered in the front with ruched ribbon to match the ruffled edging. The most interesting thing about this bra is the center gore-- it's not solid fabric but a thin ribbon, laced back and forth through a series of loops and tied. It appears to be quite adjustable. The back clasps is 2 rows, 3 columns.
Cup fit--
There's no getting around it: I fill out this bra, and then some. There is much boobling boobage. As such I can't say much about the shape this bra gives, as I definitely wasn't making the shape I was supposed to be making. That being said, I found the shape of these cups a bit odd. They are padded for push up, and the shape of the padding is very square at the wire; instead of being this shape () in the bottom of the cup, it's more this shape <) or /_) quite wedge-y. Since there wasn't any room for boob against the wire, the padding pushed the bra down instead of pushing my boobs up, leaving one side of the pad against my ribs and the other against my boobs where the underwire ought to have been. It wasn't uncomfortable, but it made my boobs look very long and droopy rather than round and perky. Disappointing. An interesting note: the extended embroidered mesh edging on the cup seems to minimize the appearance of overflow. I was creeping out pretty badly, but it was very hard to get a photo where the overflow looked as severe as it actually was.
Band Fit--
The band itched me. I'm not sure if the itching is due to the ruffle edging or if the band was a smidge too tight, but it was annoying, though not so much so that it couldn't be ignored. The side boning didn't poke. I would have preferred a solidly elasticized band for less weird lumping on my back, but that's kind of the eternal cry. :/ Read more 389 more words
This bra is UK size 32E which equals to US size 32DDD.
A weird fitting bra. Overall this bra did fit me even tho it slightly cut into my breast tissue and was extremely uncomfortable.
The biggest problem was the wire that digged into my front rib which was too painful to wear for more that 2 hours. Also the wire was too wide for me. It reached half way of my side rib. Band is on the tight side.
This bra is gorgeous! I'm glad for you that it fits.
