I wear a 28H and the small is a good fit for me. This is the most comfortable bra I’ve ever worn and the only non-underwire bra that’s actually worked for me. It’s so comfortable that I actually want to put it on, even just around the house. It’s more comfortable than no bra at all! The fabric is high quality and very soft, and the amount of stretch is not only very forgiving of a wide size range but especially good for asymmetry or other fit issues. It actually does lift and separate, rather than just squashing the boobs inwards and downwards like all other soft bras I’ve tried. This bra is basically a miracle. It does look very torpedo-y by itself but the shape isn’t super bad under clothing. It’s definitely not a round shape but it looks fine and it’s worth it for the amazing comfort. It does show nipplage through thin shirts, though.
Center gore felt uncomfortably snug, poking breast tissue as usual. The edges of the cups and boning on the wings was uncomfortable under my arms. It felt like on the basis of stretch that the band measurement should have been ok. When I put on the bra leaning forward to "scoop and swoop" there was a definite quadboob effect. The wires felt like they fully encapsulated my breasts, but the cup felt too shallow overall. Decided to return this one.
This was a pretty bra that I really hoped would work, but the cups were very shallow and I was clearly spilling out of them. The sizing seems to be off by at least a cup size. The lace is pretty, but I found that the part of the cup that hooks to the strap for nursing was buckling and pulling while worn.
I bought this as a size up from the 34F (UK), which I experienced as too shallow. The cups were too large for me, and were particularly uncomfortable under the arms where the wire was riding up. I had a little wrinkling on the bottom of the cups where I couldn't quite fill it out. The center gore sat flat on my sternum - still wish it could have been a little lower. The lace was a little scratchy.
I bought this for a "large breasted lounge nursing bra"; having had a few of those "cross over front" sleep bras, I wanted something with a little more coverage, as I used to wake up finding the upper boob (side sleeper) had escaped the cross over and was making a hot mess in my sleep. Moving on then. This bra provides basically no shape or separation; if that's what you are looking for, well, look elsewhere. It does not exist here. I am measuring somewhere in the ballpark of a 32/34 G cup for most bras at this point. I think that if the front was about an inch or ...two more fabric, like a straight line from nursing clip to nursing clip, it might provide better shape. I wish that the bottom band was firmer because even on the tightest of the three hook settings, I feel like I might fall out. (I won't, it just FEELS that way.) That's just one of those things with lounge-y style nursing bras, though. The racerback style feels good. Again, this fabric could do with being a little firmer. Soft and stretchy is great up front for this style, but everywhere else, it just leaves me left for want. For practical purposes, this is a lot of money for a sleeping/lounging bra, BUT it does hold them up and at this size, I suppose that's a behemoth task for stretchy fabric. Read more 126 more words
Comfy wireless nursing bra that is too big in the cups despite ordering my usual size. The generous cup sizing may be purposeful for nursing moms (and possible engorgement). Band was also a bit looser (ie, more comfortable) - I can see myself sleeping in this. Not fond of the extra tall cups and very warm material. Reminds me of a wetsuit. Returned.
I'm not a fan of wireless bras but most nursing bras don't have them. It's hard to get enough support and I find they usually come up too high in the cups. This bra looks pretty. I wouldn't wear it for that long just because I like the cakes on a plate look. Come six months I'll be going back to normal wired bras.
This was comfier and more supportive than any similar bras (from Target or whatever) that I tried, but it's still mostly a sleep/lounge shelf bra. I wore these for the few several postpartum weeks and they were great, but there's really not a lot of support here, just kind of something comfy to hold your nursing pads. I still use them around the house sometimes, but they really shouldn't be as expensive as they are.
What I really liked about this bra was that it actually lifted my breasts quite significantly and made me look slimmer again. However I have to tighten the straps a LOT to get that support (since there's no underwire, there's no shape to the cups really without the straps being tightened. When I tighten the straps enough, the sides of the cup are up so high into my armpits, and it's actually quite difficult to re-clip with one hand after nursing. The band runs snug, and the bra itself looks nice, but does give a pointier shape than most people like. The pointiness softens with wear, but I wouldn't call it round.
First of all, Cake really needs to make 30 bands. I am a 30GG and I had to size up to a 32G. I am already wearing it on the last of 6 sets of hooks after one time of wearing it. I also own the Cake Sorbet nursing bra, and I will say that this bra runs slightly bigger in the band than that one. The straps, while comfortable, are not fully adjustable, and since I am short, I am unable to shorten them as much as I would like. The racerback clip shortens them a bit more but I don't want to have to wear racerbacks ...always. Also, the "flexiwire" design does offer enough support to separate the breasts, but is not strong enough to get the center gore to tack, at least on larger sizes.
The biggest drawback to this bra, though, is how shallow the cups are at the wire. I know it's technically a "sports bra" but the weight of my breasts pushes the wires down on my ribcage and makes empty space at the bottom of the cup. After wearing this bra all day, the spot on my ribcage that the wires were pressing on became very sore, and was also sore the next day. If I were to size up in the cup enough so that this didn't happen, the cups would them be too large to offer any support.
Despite all this, the bra is a lot more comfortable than I expected. I would not consider it "high impact" in my size, but moderate impact, sure. It is very well constructed. I love the modesty panel. However I've had this bra for several months and the material hasn't held up as well as I would want for such an expensive bra. It's comfy, like a warn-in t-shirt, but definitely not supportive enough for exercise. I would recommend moms in my size to just but a bra that fits you and have it altered into a nursing bra instead. Read more 227 more words
I've always liked Cake's designs even tho I'm not someone who plans to be pregnant anytime soon, I think their bras are so pretty and the details are so cute, and I especially loved the color combo of this one. I've been looking for something to wear while sleeping or around the house and found this relatively cheap on Brastop, so since it was so cute I couldn't resist.
Unfortunately, this is practically unwearable for me. The shape of the cup is very wide and shallow--which is usual of an unwired bra I think, but what would be the wire channel has some kind of stiff material in ...it. The bottom of the cup is too shallow for my boob to get into, so it gets pushed down and this stiff not-wire thing chafes against my ribs so badly while sitting that I had to take it off.
The straps are also a problem--because of the width of the cup they are extremely wide-set, putting the nursing clasp right in my armpit, so when I tried wearing it while sleeping I woke up with very much pain there. To avoid this hurting I have to loosen the straps too much so they fall off my shoulders.
Overall, I'm very disappointed with this bra because it's so cute, but I just can't wear it. Maybe someone with less sensitive skin, and who is taller so that clasp wouldn't be right in their armpit, could wear it. Since I like it so much I think I will give it a wash and see if the fabric eases up but if not I will have to pass it on. Read more 168 more words
This is my second bra from Cake Lingerie and the first that fits me well. I'm discovering that pretty nursing bras are hard to come by so I am excited about this one!
Initial impressions: The inner cup lining is a super soft t-shirt like material that I love. The flexible underwire is a little squeaky. The lace on the straps is a touch itchy but not bad.
I ordered a larger band than I really needed (got a 38 but measure at a 34) because my last 32 from Cake was way, way too small even with extenders. The band fits snugly on the tightest hook. Next time I'm going to try a 36.
I ordered a G cup but could have gone with an H. The cups fit my breast tissue well except for a little bit of quadboob on the fuller breast. The gore doesn't sit flat against my sternum so I should probably size at least a cup up next time.
This bra is gorgeous and so well made. It's a shame that both band and cups are too small for me. The band seems to run small; I measure at a 34 and ordered this in a 32, and even three band extenders were almost too short to fasten. The FF cups gave me quad boob. If I reordered, I'd get at least a 36 band and GG-H cup.
Gorgeous and unusual bra. Persimmon orange nylon/elastane satin. Beautiful black embroidered lace. Cups are fully lined in soft t shirt knit style cotton.
I wanted a soft cup bra and got this for a good price on ebay. turns out the real size of the bra was covered with a sticker. https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_sad.gif" alt=":(" />
It is very much to small. I do not think this is anywhere near a true 32M in the cup, and this bra would probably work best for shallow breast.
Wow! I cannot believe it about the sticker! Why on earth would someone do that?? That looks like blatant cheating. Incredible!
It was dirty! The person argued with forever that They did not make a j cup, so this couldn't be the case. I went to Hotmilk's website and sent him the link. I had to escalate it!
I'm surprised that they labeled it as a bigger band, as if they were purposely trying get you into the wrong size. And I'm also surprised for the sticker's look it is a very good match to the actual table. I'm so glad you spotted this and were able to add it here under the correct size :)
This bra does actually have wires. Yes, the cups usually run large.
