Imagine my excitement to find an unheard of bra brand on Bare Necessities, for LESS THAN $20 USD PER BRA (on sale, regularly $38), that is MOLDED and COMES IN MY SIZE (32-40 bands and C-FF cups)!!! Luckily, I saw a review/response from BN that mentioned that the bands run small. I ordered a band size up, sister-sizing appropriately, and was right to do so. This bra... is like a VS bra. For real. (Except IT FITS.) It has slightly padded straps (!!!) and three rows of hooks (!!!!). Note that the bras use US sizing - I fit a 34H when I normally wear a 32FF/G (UK). ...The cups are just a little widely spaced for me, but my breasts are narrow-set so I’m used to that, and it’s not enough of an issue with this to bother me. The cups are also slightly less projected than the Freya Deco, my preferred shape, but still wearable. I hope I keep seeing this brand (on sale lol) because, deep down, I miss the days when I didn’t know my correct size and could easily get molded bras in cute colorways. Read more 83 more words
I'm glad to hear about your experience with one of the Camio Mio bras! I've been curious about them ever since I saw them on the Bare Necessities website. I'm in your size range, so it's helpful to hear details about their fit. I've never seen them anywhere else, so I wonder if this is Bare Necessities' own brand?
This bra appears well made and has padded hooks and soft fabrics. The exterior lace is lined with soft mesh. The cups on this one were too small, and the gore dug in painfully. The bra is a full-cup as well, which is always a tricky fit shape-wise.
I got this bra in trade on r/braswap. Apparently it's the Bare Necessities house brand. It's a balcony bra with beige molded cups and a lace overlay. It's pretty, but not my unicorn.
The quality is surprisingly good given how inexpensive they are compared with other brands I've tried. The spots where the straps meet the bra are a bit messy, but other than that the seaming looks good. The lace feels soft and durable, and the inside of the cups smooth. It's clear that some effort was made to make this bra comfortable - the wire channel, straps, and parts of the band ...that touch the skin feel extra soft and cushy without being too thick. It SHOULD be comfortable - but after wearing it for an afternoon to assess, the lace rubs under my arm on the smaller side and the band irritates my back.
Fit wise, it's ok. The gore tacks. The band is about an inch longer than I need, but doesn't ride up. At first glance the cups looked huge, but they're almost perfect for my larger boob. On my smaller boob, there's pretty obvious gaping at the top of the cup, as has been the case with 99% of the bras I've tried on lately. I'm starting to find this depressing. The asymmetry seems more obvious now than it's ever been. So may bras would have looked so nice if only they were closer to the same size. Unfortunately, the gaping on the smaller side causes the top of the cup to stick out in an obvious line under my shirt. No bueno. Even on my larger side the lace at the top doesn't quite lie flat. The scalloped lace under the cups is a bit of a problem for me as well. When I sit down, my high tummy makes it flip up. It doesn't interfere with comfort, but it's not a great look. I took a chance on a cheapish bra from Walmart (you can also get this brand on Bare Necessities. If this fit me, I would definitely keep it. It's way too big. My size is 30F, so this is my sister size 32DDDD, but it's big all over, not just the band. I've provided measurements, which I hope will help someone else find a bra that fits!
