This is another no-go sports bra for me. While comfortable, the band is simply too big - and I thought that might be the case but took a chance ordering anyway. I'd prefer an encapsulation bra as there is (IMO) little point to underwires if they don't add support/lift/control. This bra gives me quad-boob, causes my soft upper tissue to "touch" (I hate that!) and for reasons I don't fully understand, made my nipples irritated which shows right through the darned bra. Also, this bra does nothing to conceal or balance my asymmetry and provides something far too close to my natural shape to work for me. Finally, the band was too big to test for bounce control - I had a ton of bounce but that might not be the case IF the band fit properly. Oh well. Nothing ventured, nothing gained https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_smile.gif" alt=":)" />
This Champion Action Shape Sports bra was actually labeled size 36/38DD. I wash it in the washing machine and line dry. I wear it once every two weeks, but previously wore it every other day.
I found that it works for larger breasts (I normally wear a 36G) although now I am starting to notice that mine stick out a bit too much on the top.
It is quite supportive, but not extremely comfortable. I don't think I could stand to sleep in it, but I can wear it all day. It is not very easy to put this bra on.
The straps were much too long for me and I had to have them shortened immediately by the store where I purchased the bra.
I could've browsed the listings here and picked up a higher quality sports bra. I did not, because I have gift cards that need to be used up. The warming weather makes now an excellent time to get in better shape. That said, currently wearing this as a lounge bra while I sit here still not making the lifestyle changes I need. Bought this size only because it was the smallest available. I need to hook on the tightest settings to have any semblance of band fitting, while the cup seams don't fully encapsulate me. Reviews complained a lot about itchy seams. I suspect that has more to do with incorrect sizing causing them to rub against skin, but I can't say for sure because I don't actually touch the problem area in the center. In any case, I'm small and firm enough that this should still work for its intended purpose.
This bra was bought to accomodate size fluctuations during pregnancy. The band is wide and secure, not to stretchy and very soft. It fits a little small for a 36. The straps are lightly padded and comfortable. The cups are not padded, but thick enough to hide nipples. There are stitches along the 'gore' of the bra that sits on my breast tissue and are very itchy, even after a couple washes. I would not wear this bra for high impact sports.
charlielheureux how funny. I was just trying to put it nicely. The whole point of bratabase is collecting data on bras. Adding a bra without adding measurements isn't helping the database much.
Hook and zipper INSTEAD of center gore, boobs pushing it about two inches out from sternum. Furthermore, since there is no underwire, "cup width" unfortunately doesn't mean a lot here. The inner edges of the cups are about two inches out, where the zipper is, which gives my boobs more freedom to shift laterally than I'd like them to have. Cups appear to be filled out correctly directions -- because these are molded cups, so it takes a LOT of empty space to make them wrinkle. Meanwhile, I can poke the cups and feel empty space, and I can create wrinkles by shifting my boobs in ...the cups and then pinching the empty fabric like I'm going to use skinfold calipers on it. My bustline while wearing this is 39.875", as opposed to 39" in the Andorra Full Cup, which has zero padding. This is why I hate padding and molded cups. But it's functional as a sports bra for free weights and bodyweight exercises, and it was on clearance for $12.68, so I will be keeping it at least until I can afford a better-fitting sports bra. A good bra with good support. It has pockets for cookies, but I bought this bra without cookies and have never tried it with them. It fits well and is comfortable, although I like racerbacks better. This bra has conventional, non-adjustable straps
I have four of these. I bought them pre-realizing how bras were supposed to fit. As in, I did not own any normal bras that fit correctly and were comfortable. Only these. But, though they're the wrong size, they're comfortable enough that I still wear them to sleep in and occasionally on days when regular bras just aren't going to make the comfort cut.
These are an old version of the Powersleek (I think).

This is a very stretchy comfortable bra, just not comfortable for me. I was actually settling into this bra when trying it on just now (it was something I bought years ago when I thought this kind of thing was my only option). I think my breasts were actually starting to go numb from wearing it for about fifteen minutes! and the band was riding up. Would probably work for someone who is larger in the band size and smaller cups. It seems like quality for the type of bra it is, just not great for specific sizes?
I bought this bra about 2 years ago and still wear it. At first, it was almost too tight on the loosest hook - and my ribcage is 27 inches! Since I bought this bra I have tried a couple others (Panache Sport and Shock Absorber Run) and neither have given me the support that this one does. I did have to do a minor repair at one point when the strap became detached a bit from the back, but it was very easy to fix and that has been the only problem that I have had with the quality of this bra. After a year it no ...longer worked as a maximum support bra, but I still use it for everything except jumping around or running.
Pros: The straps don't stretch! They are made of the same material as the cups and instead of sliders to adjust them, there is Velcro that does not loosen! The band is very tight for one that is marketed as being for 32/34 bands. The support is unparalleled during the first year of ownership. The underwires are very comfortable and lay flush against my sternum, encapsulating all of my tissue even with movement. It gives a decent shape - not completely monoboob, but definitely not defined. It shaves off several inches from my overbust measurement without making me feel 'squished.'
Cons: There isn't any padding in the cups, so if you get cold there will be evidence unless you are wearing a thick shirt. If I wear this all day, my breasts do start to ache a bit (from the compression) but this has only been when I have been wearing it for more than 12 hours.
Overall, I am surprised that more people don't give this bra a chance. It is significantly cheaper than many others that have tons of reviews, and, in my opinion, gives much better support. Also, I love how it makes me look several cups sizes smaller. It's so much easier to focus on exercising and stuff when I don't have to worry about my breasts getting in the way!
I believe this bra is being retired, so get one while you still can! [The sizing is different on this one depending on where you buy it from, but for reference I have the 32/34 D/DD (on BareNecessities) and that translates to size 2 (on the Champion website).]
the only sports bra i'll wear. granted it's a little big in the band and does stretch out over time and a little too small in the cup meaning i have ridic cleavage, but it supports me the way no other one has been able to do. it definitely flattens, so your boobs end up wide and sort of spread out on your chest instead of sticking out if that makes sense. i still bounce, but not a ton and i don't do high impact sports so this is fine. any other sports bra i've tried is less supportive than my regular bras. wicks well & has enough lining to prevent embarrassing show through.
used to only come in white, now you can get it in pretty colors!!
It makes me sad when people add a bra, and don't measure it
