After a long, grueling, and unsatisfactory fitting at Nordstrom's, they mailed me this bra (as they didn't have it in the store and the one the next size up was too loose in the band and not right in the cup).
It is very snug to get on, but the band fits well enough. Nothing pokes, boobs are contained.
However... after wearing it for some hours, I notice that the center boning starts to irritate my sternum, and later the wires start to irritate my ribs. I am left with red marks in these areas after wearing it all day. And, it is definitely one that needed ...breaking in. When I first put it on, I had to take it off after a couple minutes. Then I forced myself to wear it once, washed it, wore it again under some duress, and then it was reasonably fine.
It is not my #1 go-to bra because of the comfort issues, but I do wear it.
It's attractive, but if you have dark areolas or pokey nipples, they'll show through the lace. Read more 73 more words
ABTF 30G, immediately projected, close set, very short waisted, center-full breasts....
When a highly anticipated unlined Comexim arrived two months after I ordered it without a critical alteration (overlapping gore wires) and temperatures were hovering near 100F with high humidity, I purchased this in a moment of desperation. The price was excellent, the color beautiful, the materials supportive... What could go wrong?
Everything.
I theorized this low gore might fit despite its width: wrong. Within two minutes, a red welt appeared on my center-full right breast. The wire sat on my right breast along the gore and around the base of my breast. The wires are more firm than Comexim, but ...less torturous than Panache/Cleo. Accordingly, the gore was distinctly less comfortable than Comexim. If I had to pick a wire to sit on my tissue, Comexim will be my first choice because of the softer wires. However, the Chantelle wires would be more supportive for those with heavy breasts.
Because the cup is wide and shallow, my narrow, projected breasts looked like smooshed pancakes once the straps were tight enough to lift them. And, with the straps tight enough to create lift, the 8" tall cup was sawing my arms off.
Swoop and scoop created quad boob....even with these very short roots. But, the breasts would slump back into smooshed pancake form because there was too much width to "catch them before they fell." There is a strong possibility a 65G would fit better. But, the many fit issues will prevent another purchase of this model. Frankly, it is "Comexim or bust" for me.
Whining, "I want a fully altered Comexim unlined...soon!!"
For the right breasts, this is a beautiful, supportive bra. The straps alone are spectacular! I'll include a few detailed photos to share the aesthetic. This is a lovely, shallow, wide bra that simply does not fit me. Read more 197 more words
I purchased this bra a year and a half ago. It has only in the last two months, after much abuse as my only bra for the whole time, started to fit less well. It really hasn't stretched much at all and is a real champ; besides a little pilling it still looks nice too. Really, I ought to have retired it at the year mark.
The gore tacked and is very narrow, about a 1/4 if that of fabric between the wires. I have very heavy breasts and usually I get some sagging, but this bra sat where it was supposed to. The wires are narrower than other bras in this size, and the straps have a horizontal ribbed texture which hold the adjuster in place solidly until you move it.
I'm hoping, now that I have the funds, to expand, but first I'm replacing this solid staple with another just like it.
It seems to fit well but maybe the band is over stretched? It always hurts my ribs to wear this bra, yet everything seems to be in the right place. Fabric is a little scratchy and definitely shows under shirts but it looks pretty.
I was so excited when I found this bra in my size, it fits wonderful!! Super comfortable, the band is snug, it feels great, the straps adjust all the way, the gore is low because it is a plunge bra, I wasn't so sure about it because I don't like low gores, I prefer them high, but I was really surprised how well and comfortable it fits and feels, the shape this bra gives is really amazing, it's rounded in a very natural way, not pointy at all and the lift is very natural too. The lace in the cups it's stretchy, that helps to minimize cuadboob.I am in love with my Cleo bras, but to tell you the truth this one is close behind, really love it!!! The color is an extrange brown/purple mix, but really pretty. Will definitely buy again in every color I can find, this is my first Chantelle and I am pretty sure it won't be my last.... Jajajaja.. Love it!! https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_smile.gif" alt=":)" /> very happy!!!
A good, comfortable everyday bra. Despite the plunge, it feels more like full coverage in my size and shows under everything even remotely low cut. A common problem, I know, but worth warning for.
The lace is comfortable and durable. It doesn't show up except under the tightest and clingiest of clothes. Without clothes I think it's very cute and attractive, but it does cover a lot and separates the breasts. So maybe not the sexiest choice, if that's what you're going for.
This 65H Chantelle C Chic Sexy Plunge (3641) in Orange fits quite well. If I were to keep this, I would sew the underwires closer together at the gore. The gore is only 1.75" high, which is good for close-set me, but it seems an easy alteration on this particular bra. The gore is just a bit stabby.
The amount of my torso covered by these well fitting cups is excessive. Since I have ample underwire width and height under the arms, I've ordered the same bra but in a purplish blue color from Nordstrom in the next cup size down. This one is a UK 30FF, and the one in the mail is a UK 30F.
I was surprised by how much I liked the orange, which is a fresh, citrusy, clear, juicy color, like a real fruit. There's nothing earth tone or pastel about this color. I didn't know I liked orange or that it could flatter someone with cool undertones.
This bra fits well--the plunge style is good for close-set breasts. There is a tiny bit of wrinkling in the middle of the cups where the opaque fabric meets the lace (not sure if this problem is due to me having pretty even fullness--maybe this would work better for someone full on top or bottom). Unfortunately this is not a "sexy" bra on me--it creates absolutely no cleavage! It will work great as a t-shirt or everyday bra.
This bra is my go-to bra for comfort. I usually wear a 28 band, but this 30 band is small enough to stay put even on the loosest hook. The straps are not too wide and can be adjusted well for someone with a shorter torso than mine. I love the round shape it has, and I have yet to find a bra that shapes my breasts better than this one. I have no quadboobing, I fill the cups, and the gore sits flat. The only minor issue I have is that the wires are too wide for my narrow root, and that the material is a bit itchy for my sensitive skin if I rub against it too much. But I wear it as an everyday bra and it works great!
Comfortable fabric, nice nude bra for my pale skin. Cups are too small, causing quad-boob and keeping the gore away from my sternum. Wires poke into breast tissue at center after a few hours. Good support, could be good in a bigger size.
I love the way this bra looks, its very sexy. Fit was good. I was not poked by underwire. Fits well against my armpit. Gore was a good width for me, not uncomfortable. One of my boobs is larger than the other and that side had a very slight overage over the top of the bra, but only after excessive jumping and movement. Would recommend bra to others of similar size and shape.
