There are a few things I like about this one. When it arrived in the mail it was completely crushed. I've never seen a bra of this nature SO flattened! But within a few minutes it relaxed into shape and the memory cup foam barely showed any creases; then disappeared completely when I put it on. So negative stars for packaging but 5 stars for materials!
Secondly, it has two separate layers on the band that are attached at the top, but not the bottom. The top layer is smooth, stretchy, and serves to help hide the underband which has elastic edges and side boning.
... The cups have the feel of a spacer fabric, but they hide prominent nipples much better. The underwire is quite long, but doesn't cut in on my low-set breasts. The top of the gore is narrow, as well as the inner angle of the underwire. Works very well for my close-set breasts. The height of the gore is higher than I prefer, but it's not uncomfortable. The straps look like twin straps but are actually connected with criss-cross stitching between them. There are two positions for the back straps, providing several combinations. The pictures on Amazon show it may be used halter style, but I haven't tried that yet.
The biggest issue I have is the placement of the front straps. They are set so far to the side of the cups, they dig into my Tail of Spence and with the slightest movement they rotate 180°, flipping all the way around. The metal hooks for the convertible straps irritate my skin even further, and the cups buckle just under the straps. However, there is no gaping along the rest of the cup.
The bra is not designed to be used as a strapless. Athough it would be an easy alteration to move the tabs, if I move the straps closer above the apex, it would result in a funny corner along that top outer edge.
As for appearance, the cups give a bit of a east-west look from the front, but a minimized look from the side profile.
