So this is following from my previous review of the 34G - Charnos ยป Sienna (129501). The quality of the bra is the same as previously mentioned - feels great, straps are great, details are subtle, print is the crispest I've ever seen on fabric. Although on this particular bra I do have a fair few loose threads at the top of the gore, which is manageable but a bit concerning.
I had to size down two cup sizes as the 34G was more than a little bit ridiculous on me. I get the tiniest bit of quadding in this bra but I think that's more of ...a shape issue than sizing. The specific cut of the wings does frame my ToS quite noticeably, I probably wouldn't wear a sleeveless shirt with this bra.
I'm a little bit frustrated with the band as well, the band in the 34G was rock solid but this one fits more like a Panache/Pour Moi 34 - definitely still firm, but not a sure-fire size up. 32 would probably be too much of a gamble.
But - it fits! Technically. https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_razz.gif" alt=":P" /> I can only manage a soft tack (I need so much projection at the gore that this doesn't remotely surprise me) and the non-stretch mesh upper is a bit finicky, but it's a lovely bra all the same and I'll certainly consider another Charnos.
This time round I also got the matching panty and my god is it comfortable. The fabrics are identical and feel amazing against the skin, even the mesh section. Highly recommended! Read more 158 more words
i knew it was a risk to buy this, as there is really no info anywhere on the fit. but, t was on eBay for a reasonable price, brand new, so i gave it a go. it doesn't fit unfortunately https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_sad.gif" alt=":(" /> i donked up the name when i added this- it should have Padded Balconette in the title.
as looks go this is gorgeous! the material is silky and a pale pink that leans a little purple. the bow on the gore has little embellishments on one side, and there are embroidered leaves on the cups. the straps are half adjustable, and the ...cups have one vertical seam.
fit is where i run into issues. the band can be easily fastened on the last hook- i think i would take a 32 band here. the cups are too large in both width and depth-i can feel a little empty space at the sides, but mostly at the apex and the tops of the cups when im wearing it. it doesn't *look* too large at first, the top of the cup sits flat on my narrower, more projected L side and nearly flat on my shallower wider R side, but i can feel the space. i think the molded cups hide the size issue. you can see from the pictures of it laying flat that the single seam is very projected, my best guess is that this is too deep for me.
the straps dont feel too far apart on this, which is a blessing considering balcony bras have had my armpits crying out for mercy. oddly, the gore doesn't want to tack, it floats a bit. im wondering if the band being too loose is the cause? im not experienced in that area of fitting issue, ive always assumed a non-tacking gore was the result of too small cups. if i push it down, i dont get any quadboobing.
im still debating on keeping this or selling it- right now its at least wearable and doesn't have any fit issues that cause pain, but it definitely isn't a correct fit. Read more 243 more words
