I've wanted to try Claudette since they started putting out bras, because they've got some major selling points for me, namely all the mesh in all the colors.
I've been put off by the fact that they don't have my size (30GG/H), and that their sizing has apparently been inconsistent across seasons, often with notoriously stretchy bands. Even so, I couldn't get the colorways out of my head.
I sister-sized myself into 34G, so the band is larger on me than anything I've put on in years. But the cup volume seems to be perfect, even when I pull the band together in the back to simulate the proper fit ... I'll be altering it into. The band tacks, both at 34 and at my planned 30-band alteration.
I can't gush enough about these wire widths. They're perfect for me, ending right where my breasts do, which never happens for me with British brands. They're also short enough that I'm not being stabbed in the armpit due to my height, so my narrow boobs are finally in the wire Goldilocks zone. I'm very put off by the fact that Claudette has been changing their cup structure and wire choices over the years. There are very few bras of properly narrow width for me on the British-US market, so even if/when Claudette eventually extends its size range, there's no guarantee that they'll be making a bra I love anymore.
The cups are tall, which doesn't bother me, because I expected it in this size range. This bra would not be wearable for me without fully adjustable straps. Its straps are stretchy as heck and have been tightened all the way to the bows at the cup tops in order to fit me.
The shape the bra gives is quite rounded and uplifted but also really minimized, kind of like a Cleo lite effect. This is also perfect, because I'm trying to come to terms with the fact that Cleo's wires simply do not get along with my narrow boobs.
