Ugh. This makes me look disgusting. I have small, shallow, perky boobs, and this bra makes them look like they are crying.
Also, the straps are unusually short. I normally have my bra straps close to the shortest setting, but with this one, I am probably less than 1/2" away from being fully extended.
I bought this along with the Dessous and the Paramour. The Dessous is super sexy. The Paramour is beautiful. Neither were the right shape for me, but this one is for sure the absolute worst. Both the Dessous and Paramour are three-part bras, which I think are best for projected shapes, which I am not. I ...thought I was getting lucky with the En Dentelle, since it doesn't have a three-part cup. Nope. The En Dentelle makes me look like I have a sac around my boobs, and that sac is loose and drooping.
I don't understand how the cup can be so droopy and loose on me. My boobs have been growing lately, and I am up a cup size. I bought this in both my normal size and a cup size up, and didn't even bother trying on the larger size. I just now realized that the soft, loose fabric and the bizarre drooping down effect I get, combined with the nice neutral color, American Tan, makes it look like I have a hot-weather scrotum on my chest when I wear this. Totally gross.
I'm sorry you didn't get along with this bra, but I have to thank you! This has got to be the funniest bta review I've ever read. It made me laugh-cry at the end 🤣
Looks great, soft fabric, low cut. However, the straps fall off my shoulders all day long which brings on a gradual homicidal rage, so I sadly do not wear this bra anymore.
I got this in 30B and 28D. Neither bra is close to fitting me. It's almost as if the two bras are different models that are styled to look identical aesthetically. The 28D was obviously scaled down from large-cup bras, but the 30B is constructed very differently. There are only 2 rows of hooks per column and the straps are very thin and less wide set. The cups have a much shorter height as well (3.3" at the vertical seam vs 3.8" on the 28D), which makes them more open on top and less shallow.
The 30B has short, narrow wires which give the cups more projection. The 28D is very wide and shallow, as expected from reading other reviews. If I could have the smaller wires of the 30B with the cup shape of the 28D, it would probably fit me (I measure as a 26D).
In really sorry to hear that! You and I talked on reddit about getting these bras. I was hoping that at least one would fit for you...
Yeah, it seems the 28D was scaled down from large-cup bras while the 30B... doesn't make any sense. The 28D is actually more shallow than the 30B. The 30B has more projected cups, probably since the wires are so narrow for the amount of fabric in the cup. If I could have the smaller wires of the 30B on the shallow cups of the 28D, it would probably fit.
This bra is beautiful! The garnet color is stunning, and the satin and mesh look very alluring.
In a 30B, the cut looks like a balconette and not like the tall, angled shape of the main Bratabase photo.
Unfortunately, it's not a good shape fit for me. I think Claudette bras are made for more projected and/or larger breasts, where I am small and shallow.
They may also run very large in the cup. My boobs have been getting bigger lately, so I bought this in my usual size and a cup size up. I can't fit into any of my usual 30Bs anymore, and am feeling pretty comfortable in a 30C Betsey Johnson Stocking Stripe. I didn't even bother trying the Paramour on in 30C, because the 30B is so loose. Lame and depressing.
I love the mesh fabric and color of this bra and how the seams help with nipple show trough ( when I can get them centered ) but this bra just isn't the best shape for me. The elastic at the top of the cups cuts in and gives me quad boob but if I were to go up a cup size it would be too big.The underwires are much stiffer than I am used to, and the cups are too close together. I think if the cups had some space in between a lot of the fit issues would be fixed. I am keeping it to wear when it's hot and I want something not bulky and breathable.
