I really like this bra! Although it is not the most supportive, it is very comfortable and pretty (I really like the velvet trim). I think it is perfect for desk work/lounging, etc - it is the most comfortable bra I own. The trim on the top of the cups is slightly elasticated, so it is very comfortable and does not cause the dreaded quadboob. Half of the straps are non stretchy (which helps balance the stretchy cups), while the adjustable back half is thick elastic increasing comfort.
Now for some issues: I usually wear a 36 band, but in this bra I should have probably got ...a 34, or even a 32 - the band is very stretchy and fit comfortably on the tightest hook as soon as I got it. The straps are not fully adjustable, and I had to sew them in place to prevent them from loosening (the clasps slide down) as I wear it. There is also some puckering on the outside of the cups near the straps, but I think this is due to my breast shape (would probably not happen on side-heavy breast). The cups are also very stretchy.
As I have worn it more I have found that the wires under my arm, especially on my right side rub. It is not bad if I am not being very active, but if I have to move my arms a lot the rubbing becomes painful by the end of the day and leaves a bit of a raw spot for few days. The wires are a touch too narrow for me; I think the cups and wires just get bullied around by my heavy breast tissue.
I have three of these bras and the underwire has broken or popped out on each one.The band is definitely too large for me. I like how there is no padding, but the mesh can be itchy sometimes. Somehow my breasts both spill out and the cups gape.
Never in my life have I tried on a bra of such low quality! I only tried it on for half an hour or so, and I noticed afterwards that a couple of seams went undone - see pictures. The seam for the wire and both (?) the straps. Then as I was measuring the stretched band, the label tore off. I didn't even pull that much! I just stretched the band to 36inch, which is basically the size of the band.
The style of the bra is minimalistic and the colours are very pretty in real life. It is too small for me, and I think it would be best suited for someone who is more self-supporting and doesn't need a lot of heavy duty lifting.
I love love love the cotton fabric. It's cool and breathable and comfy. The wires are slightly flexible which adds to the comfort, although at the expense of some support. It gives a slightly droopy shape, but feels so nice. I'm so sad that it doesn't fit my shape. It's too wide for my short narrow roots, and the cups go up too high on the sides. The side of the cup cuts painfully into the front of my armpit. I get some orange-in-a-glass wrinkling underneath. Would probably be great for somebody who doesn't have my narrow roots.
This bra is very comfortable! I've been looking for a bra with narrow wires and enough lower / outer projection for my shape, and I think I might have found it with the Dessous. It's flexible and stretchy all over, which feels great. That might be a warning sign that it could get stretched out with wear though. The neon pink is a fun color and it's very sheer, so don't look for modesty with this bra. The seam is a bit lumpy under clothes. The fabric is a little scratchy but I expect that to soften up with washing. But the cups are too big for me. I'm going to try it in a 36FF or maybe a 34G to see if that's better. My searches find that there's a lot of variability in sizing between the different colorways in the Dessous, btw, this is the neon pink colorway.
I purchased this purely because Claudette was doing a sale on their older styles. I went with the leopard (black strap) Dessous colorway in a 36G (no GG https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_confused.gif" alt=":s" />adface:https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_smile.gif" alt=":)" />. I LOVE how this bra looks but I wouldn't leave the house in it because it's really not for my shape. The wires are pretty narrow which is awesome but they are SO flexible and weak. I feel like I'm trying to hold my boobs up with coffee stirrers. The cup comes up fairly high (from what I've been reading the larger cup sizes where smaller sizes ...get a more balconette look) but I really don't mind the look of it. Also note the band is pretty stretchy and the cups are obviously a bit small for me but by no means uncomfortable. This style is much too shallow for me, so combine the flimsy wires, stretchy band and shallowness and my boobs are just like "NOPE!". On the up side, the straps are very adjustable so I can tighten them all the way and gain some additional support from that and the material is really nice. This bra is really quite comfortable and I know I'll rock it but inside...where I can proudly semi-sag lol. It's also got a nice sexy look to it, so it has that going for it too https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_smile.gif" alt=":)" /> Read more 134 more words
