I've never owned a bandeau bikini that actually stayed up. Most bandeaus are unwired, however, the Lucille is wired and so you get a very supported look. The cups are moulded and the construction is sturdy enough to get this bikini to work like a strapless bra. It actually stays up better than any strapless bra I own.
The shape it gives me is less than ideal. I'm not very projected, but this style does run very shallow. Because the gore is so high, in the right size, you will not get any cleavage. The 30G might be a cup too small on me, so I get some quad boob in the upper region of my chest. The profile is not the most flattering either. The shallowness plus the sturdiness of this bikini flattens me right out.
All that being said, the pros outweighs the cons and it's a good looking bikini set that's not too juvenile yet not matronly.
Firm, tight band. I could maybe use a 30F, but since swimwear stretches with wear, and this is only slightly small/quadboob, I am going to keep it. I prefer to be "strapped in" when on the beach.
Fits firmly. Will be good for active beach going. No threat of flashing while swimming. Slight quad boob if I stretch my shoulders back/inhale deeply, but I'd rather feel very secure while in the water than worry about minimal quadboob. The vertical seaming is a bit stiff, making a small pointy shape when looking down, but only I notice. Hoping that will relax with wear & getting wet. Enough lift to wear under clothes and still feel supported.
I bought this bandeau because I own one already in 30FF and found the fit to be more supportive than any other bandeau bikini I've tried on. Seeing as that the band was a bit loose on the 30FF, I decided I could try the 28G. I couldn't be more wrong on my assumption.
The 28G fits nicely in the band, however, the problem arose when I calculated the total bust perimeter. In losing band length, I effectively reduced the total bust perimeter. The cup volume on a 28G/30FF are clearly 1-2 sizes too small, but what made the 30FF tolerable was the fact that the band could compensate ...a bit for the lacking cup depth. If this bandeau was made in 28H, I think I would be confident to swim in it.
Regarding the construction of the bikini top, the cups are padded with foam so you needn't worry about getting cold and poking through. The gore doesn't really tack since it's over an inch wide, but I'm wondering if this is just the way it's supposed to fit. I have some fullness in the centre which results in the wires pressing down on my inner boobs. The band fastens with a single snap closure in the back. Other than the fact that I'm sized out of this bikini, I do really admire the construction and look of this bikini. Like many full bust women here, the bandeau style has eluded me for a great part of my adult life. I will keep chasing this dragon until I catch it. Read more 152 more words
Gorgeous swimsuit with a lovely color but the band is WAY too tight. Even when I exhaled to my fullest (and I drop just below 29") this is still too tight to close. This might work well for someone who is a 28FF normally.
I think the band is a TINY bit too tight for me. Cups fit well. Nice cleavage. Base of the cups (underwire) digs into my ribs - my ribs angle outwards a bit so I wonder if this is why? Maybe this is also why the band feels too tight. Maybe going up a band and down a cup would improve the comfort?
The fit of this bikini top is ok. I could go down a band and up a cup to a 28GG and have a more modest and proper fit, but as a bikini, I'm ok with some cleavage. The gore doesn't tack on this bikini top, but I imagine it is supposed to. It doesn't bother me, however, I might need to practice caution when entering and exiting the water in case of any unexpected wardrobe malfunctions (yes I still use that reference 10 years after the fact). I can reduce the risk of that happening by using the straps it comes with https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_smile.gif" ...alt=":)" />
I'm very neutral about the design. It's cute, but maybe too cute for me with the heart in the middle. I've seen people remove it and put little buttons in its place. I have the bottoms in size S and they fit nicely (my lower hips at the widest are 37.5 inches).
All that being said, this bikini is the best strapless "bra" I have ever owned. The front design is what I'm looking for to create cleavage. While the gore may not tack and the wires are not sitting exactly at my IFM, the bikini very firmly encircles my bust and doesn't feel like it's on the verge of slipping at every move. What would make this bikini an even better strapless bra is if it had a ton of hooks in the back, but it actually does a much better job staying up without straps than my Deco Strapless and Wonderbra Ultimate Strapless bras. Not everyone will agree with my strapless fit preferences, but this is the only setup that seems to work on my narrow ribcage. When I wear strapless bras big enough to enclose my breast tissue, there's too much bra and too much weight added on the band, which is always too loose. This causes said strapless device to slide down to my waist. This doesn't happen with my Lucille bikini. Read more 228 more words
This is undeniably a sister cut of the Cleo Juna (6461)'s! The cups are a little higher (0.5-1cm?) and there is no lace part. The cups are true to size (and therefore they run slightly bigger than the Juna's). The band is tight and very narrow - I went one sister-size up to avoid cutting in.
Unfortunately, I'm between sizes - 32D is too small, but 32DD has slight gaping near the center gore. I went for the bigger size as the smaller one just looked odd and gave me armpit-quadboob. I'm expecting the cups to soften with wear, so the gaping may hopefully disappear.
Slightly tight band. Would want a 30F since I feel like there is sometimes quad boobing at certain angles and slight gaping when I bring my arms forward
This bikini top fits like a glove! I absolutely love it. I have FOB, projected breasts and this size and shape fits me perfectly. It is not too tight yet it stays put in the water. I have to adjust the halter tie after getting it wet, but this is common for pretty much all halter-style bikinis when going from dry to wet. The underwire is comfortable, the cups are roomy and deep, and it maintains its shape! I highly recommend this bikini for anyone with a similar shape to me.
I tried the Pippa in 30E, my usual Cleo size, but the band felt too tight. The band is very narrow and it cut in, left red marks and felt uncomfortable. I don't like too tight bands on a bikini, so I went one sister size up for comfort and got myself a 32DD (the size I'm also wearing in the Cleo Marcie (6831), by the wayhttps://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_wink.gif" alt=";)" />)
I thought that because I wear 28DD in Cleo Juna & Cleo Jude that I might be able to fill out a 30D swimsuit top by Cleo/Panache. This was not the case. Sadly just too big. The pattern was very cute, and the suit was on sale. Too bad I had to return it. The small bikini bottoms fit like a loose UK 8 or a tight UK 10. I'm somewhere between a UK 6/UK 8 in bottoms/pant sizing, so the bottoms were also loose. The suit did seem to be well-made.
Absolutely love how it looks and is very flattering while on. The adjustable length is pretty neat - it could work for a lot of different heights and preferences.
I really would have preferred more substantial straps on this baby. I feel rather insecure without the straps. It's hard to tell how the inner bra fits but I think the wires are much too U shaped for me (I need something flatter at the bottom). This kinda throws off the fit for me since the wires aren't doing what my boobs need.
I’ve always considered Panache Swimwear Lucille Bandeau Bikini Top (SW0560) as the most beautiful bikini ever designed. As I couldn’t buy it when it was available, I was happy to discover that Lucille was going to be resurrected in cleo swimwear collection. What convinced me to the purchase, it was definitely the design. Unfortunately I didn’t know that the cups run THAT small. This is a very small 30e. The cups are quite large (the wires are too wide) and very shallow, this size runs more like a 30dd. I’m not sure if trying a 30f would resolve the problem, the wires would be even larger and the cups more covering. I’m rather convinced that the cup shape is not right for my breast. Besides the cup volume issue, the band is firm, the straps are fully adjustable but very stretchy, I have to readjust them when they’re wet. In conclusion, I probably won’t try the bandeau cut form panache anymore.
This is a well made item and it is very pretty. However I can barely get the band closed. The cups are very small for a 30 FF, I would expect to have to go up two cup sizes just to put it on.
I'm too full on top/narrow on the sides for this too work. Would work well on someone very FOB and needing wide wires. Good for shallow breasts though.
This Swimsuit was my Christmas present from my sis in law. Whoot Whoot https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_smile.gif" alt=":)" /> I absolutely love it. The colors are just gorgeous and the slightly retro style is really cute on.
Unfortunately the cups in the 28G are really shallow and flatten me out whilst cutting my breasts off at the top creating a definite quad boob. The G cup is the largest cup in this bandeau style so I definitely wouldn't recommend it for large G or GG cup women. Having said that, bandeau's do tend to create that sort of look and it in no way looks indecent ...or over the top. The Gore doesn't quite sit flat but rather sits on my breast tissue due to the lack of room in the cups. The 28 band is nice and firm and doesn't seem too stretchy so the entire top holds in place nicely. Whilst I wouldn't want to squish my breasts into this all day. I think it will be nice and firm for swimming which is ultimately what I wanted https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_smile.gif" alt=":)" />
