Ahh, yes..the elusive Cleo George! I received this bra from Vee via the bra listings. I really like how this George lifts my breasts and gives me nice cleavage https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_smile.gif" alt=":)" />
This bra is also my first attempt at trying a "sister size" bra and it was a success!
Only issue for me is that the wires are ever so slightly too tall for me, but they don't poke at me as much as other Panache bras I have tried.

Thank you!
I really like George :D
Like the model in coral, also the mint green one fits very well - there's a bit too much lace fabric in the upper half of the cup, but that's no problem. The band fits tight (to me it seems tighter than the same model in coral and I think I will be using an extender) and the bra gives a great shape.

I am totally in love with this bra. It feels very comfy and gives my boobs a rounded, not too prominent shape. I like the design with the spots and lovely embroidery <3 I own the Green Spot George.

Wow. I never thought I would be able to wear a soft cup bra. Of course, in the past I was always trying the wrong size, so they were always way too loose, way too narrow, and way too deep for me.
This bra is not only beautiful and unique in color, it actually fits.
Technically, this shape is too full-on-bottom for me. (Would be good for FOB, maybe even-fullness as well) The top lace slides down the top of my breasts and creates a slight ridge. If I pull it up all the way, it cuts in a slight bit and then slides back down again. I ... could very easily hand tack it down and no one would be able to tell, and everything else fits absolutely perfectly. Thank you so much nufin for altering the band, it seems like it was made just for me. https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_smile.gif" alt=":)" /> (You did a really good job too, it looks so professional!) It's really firm and comfortably tight and doesn't slide around during the day at all.
Since this is my first unlined bra, maybe it isn't right, maybe I'm just crazy. But it's comfortable and doesn't cause my pain in any way! (Except the very first breaking-in wearing, of course.) There MIGHT be slight pulling lines in the bottom half of the cups, so maybe the cups are too small? Whatever the tightness, the cups surprisingly push my breasts up and they look superbly round. (I had feared a soft cup would make me look pointy.) The cups have two layers of mesh, so they're very supporting and there's only slight show-through while nipping. The seams and embroidery would should through t-shirts, so I recommend this for medium-weight fabrics and/or fabrics with texture.
The color is absolutely gorgeous; a beautiful seafoam green. There are so many appliqués that make the bra so cute and elegant. It reminds me of a sun-dress and a grassy field of flowers! ^.^
Currently, my breasts are a bit swelled due to PMS and bloating, so the cups fit a bit tighter than they did two days ago, but it's hardly noticeable.

The material is sheer but also quite stiff, so I wouldn't worry about wearing it under a thin shirt unless it were white. It's an older model so the hooks are rounded instead of squared like newer Cleos, and I like that it's unique in my collection. The embroidery is very intricate along the top of the cups and the middle of the band. I'm not a fan of the flowery embellishments along the band, but they were easily removed without leaving a hole or anything. The band is quite firm, comparable to the band of the Cleo Marcie (6831) (28E, I'm not sure how comparable ... they are in bigger bands). It produces a round, lifted shape. It's made for projected shapes, so on my tall/shallow boobs, it cuts in at the top and wrinkles along the diagonal seam, producing the notorious "George fold."
I made it fit by sewing down the fold to make the cups more open on top. This reduced the depth at the top of the cup. The rest fits great. I would recommend this alteration to any shallow ladies out there. It reshapes the cups to fit like Cleo Juna (6461).

So the George 30J arrived yesterday and the first thing I thought was "I must fit into a 30JJ Jasmine".
But I ruled that out pretty fast since this bra was way too tight for me.
Anyhow: The wires ended up immediately in the right spot just before my shoulder blades. They went quite high which I like since I have a long torso. But they were too narrow in the bottom.
I do have at least two versions of orange in a glass in this bra, possibly even three;
The first is rib cage orange in a glass from he wires needing to wrap around my very curved ... body and huge root. The second is the typical orange in a glass received by wires being too narrow on the bottom. orange in a glass. All this makes me having a little hard time to determine whether it has too little cup volume in the bottom as well. I am still not sure about that. By boobs has a little migration going on from the bottom and they are extremely shallow in my absolute bottom and then they get bigger higher up. They tend to fold/bend themselves on that shallow migration which looks really weird and makes every bra look to big on me, even when it isn't.
So I don't know if it's the orange in a glass or the fact that I'm very high on chest (with a lot of migrated tissue trying to get back) that simply makes part of my boobs end up above the bra. But since they are so shallow I just look soft all over my chest instead of having two pair of defined boobs. But if you look at the pictures from the side you can kind of see how my boob above it simply is bigger than the cup.
The bra has a three section cup with a high placed apex. The bottom sections reaches 17 cm up in the middle just where the two bottom sections meets.
The outer section of the bottom is cut tighter in a very smart way so that it would almost seem as if the bra would have a side support panel. It just doesn't need it. The fabric is for a better word "firm". In no way harsh or uncomfortable, just very supportive. It's very lightweight, somewhat see through and I really like it.
All this provides a very up front and center look.
My version is the light pink and the color is absolutely superb combined with my peach skin color. And the the uplift is superb. Ohmy what a cleavage. If the later versions of Cleo works close as good as this one I'm a Cleo girl from now on.
I have a little hard time to determine if it's open on top or not since the bra is too small for me, but I would guess it's not since the upper section is very small and feels pretty tight compared to the high apex. But I may be wrong about this so don't take my word for it.
Over all this is a really good bra. I might kill to get my hands on a 32J so you better watch out, or help me find one. I want to keep this one, but I know it really is too small.
Of all the bras I've tried I think the bra this one resembles the most actually is Panache Sienna. But that's only because the apex is placed similar high and rounded. I definitely look forward to try more Cleo bras so I think Alexa and Zia is on my list. Maybe even Marcie.

Update June 4 2013: I have retried this bra. It's going to have its straps altered and it will become my cleavage bra. The shape is perfect and I have decided I will live with some slight cutting in on top. It's an occasion bra anyway and I will make it wearable now finally <3

I can't find that thread, so here are some questions
How did you close the band? I mean, the cutting in isn't severe, and it may be just the band pulling too tight. You may want to try this with an extender.
Now, as for a lot of your boob being outside the cup - that is not uncommon with cleo if your tissue starts high on chest. Theese bras probide less coverage than what you are used to.
I'm glad you like the shape, I like how it looks on you :)))
You might actually try the lucy too, I know you don't miind altering the gore :)
Vee: The tightness comes from my needing the wires so far back. So that's why I always need sizing up. It looks way better in pics than in person. I cannot scope in this bra.
I love this bra, as it's comfortable and was the first unpadded bra that looked good on me. I used to wear it in a 30C and have now bought two in 30D (coral and turquoise). It's a great bra for wide root shallow breasts, although the thinner part of the cup usually wrinkles a bit. These wrinkles disappeared after I had worn my 30C George several times, and they don't show under shirts.

You can see my review for the look and feel here: http://bratabase.com/browse/cleo/george-balconette-5731/30DD/
In terms of fit, the cups fit the same but the band is definitely a bit tighter than the 30DD; the band fits very firmly on me. The support is really good, almost no jiggling when I walk around or going up and down stairs. The cups give a natural round shape.
The only problem is that you can see the seams and the top trim under close fitting t-shirts. This bra might be better suited for looser fitting t-shirts or a proper blouse.
Edit: I no longer wear this bra as I find it way to tight.

Love the shape that George used to give my boobs, the coveted elf shoe shape. Sadly no longer fits due to weight loss. If you get your hands on one in your size, try it. Comfort was meh, bad was tight on me but I was okay with it due to the awesome shape. This is not a stretchy bra. Fabric does not stretch at all.
