I've been exploring older Cleo styles as I've found so far that Cleo unlined bras tend to suit my shape best. George consistently came up in my Bratabase recommendations, albeit in a number of different sizes from 28D-30DD, so I scoured eBay and was able to find one to try.
Thankfully, this bra didn't disappoint! I purchased the yellow gingham version with blue embroidery, as that was all I could find. I love the styling of the bra, as it satisfies my desire for one of those frilly Japanese bras without the padding. The color scheme and design are girly without coming off as too ... young. The fabric of the bra is the same mesh as Marcie, and the embroidery is decently soft without being scratchy. Overall the appearance of this bra is an A+.
However, unlike Marcie, which is just super shallow and wide in the underwire, George's underwire shape is perfect for me. It's a slightly longer and taller underwire, with an even C curve that fits me perfectly. There's not much angle to the wires, as the outer and inner portions are fairly level, but it works in this style. Compared to Marcie, the cups are also taller vertically. Specifically, the bottom cup is taller and deeper than Marcie and Lucy, so it fits me much better. The lace upper cup is a bit wide on me and wrinkles slightly, but the upper edge sits flush against the skin, so I feel the fit is fine. I don't have any discernible issues between my larger and smaller side like I do in Lucy, so that's also a plus.
I'd love to find more styles that fit like George. The only aspect I don't like about this bra other than it being discontinued is the fact that the straps are just plain, rather narrow straps (seems to be a thing in the older Cleo styles). I prefer the slightly wider, texturized straps in the recent Cleos as they help ensure the straps won't slip over time.
