I've been wearing Cleo Lily and similar cuts (Meg, Alexa) exclusively for over a year now, mostly in 36FF. My cup size seems to have jumped 1-2 cups up since then, so I figured I'd try the same Lily in 36GG.
...Long story short, apparently when you go up to the higher cup ranges on the Lily, they decide you must need much, MUCH wider cups — and much taller. And suddenly the traps are extra padded, which is nice, but now they're also nearly falling off my shoulders. I also found the band to be stretchier than I remember my other 36 band Cleos being when they were ... new; I immediately was able to wear this on the middle-to-tightest hooks no problem, while the loosest hooks felt looser than I was used to. Strange, that.
I guess for someone as extremely narrow rooted and somewhat short-torso as I am, if you go any higher than an F or FF cup in a 36 band Cleo Lily you get sized right out of it due to wide wires and tall cups. Disappointing for me, but at least now I have the motivation to finally take the plunge on something Polish for narrower and deeper cups. >.>
As a plus, as always the quality with this Lily was great. I liked how the fabric felt and appreciated the extra padding on the straps. At this higher size range, it would probably work really well for someone much wider rooted (and maybe taller-torso) than me.
