    Didn't fit

The Cleo Maddie has shallow cups and relatively wide wires, fits well on wide root shallow boobs.
    It's a molded T-Shirt-bra in a halfcup/balconnette style.

It is often said that the cups run small. I don't fully agree - they run shallow, so if you are not shallow you might want to go up a cup size.
In the correct size, this bra gave me good uplift, a round shape, and it goes well under tight clothing and tank tops.

    Pros:
    - super comfy!
    - thin straps
    - smooth look under clothing
    - not too much coverage

    Cons:
    - The band is on the stretchier side, so if you are between band sizes, you may want to get the smaller one.

I had some sizing issues with this bra. Maybe it was a foolish beginner's mistake when I thought 30D fit me, which was actually too wide in the band and too small in the cups. 30DD gaped a lot. I finally got it in 28E and it fit much better.

    Didn't fit

I am generally a 28e, and previously had this bra in a 30e. I thought that it gaped at the top so I swapped it away. Then I found this 30f from when I had bought both sizes before and forgot about it. For poops and giggles i tried it on. Surprisingly, it was a better fit. No gaping on top, all tissue is cradled in the cups. 30e must have just been too shallow, which lead to my boobs pushing out the top and causing gaping. Sadly, the wires are just a bit too long, which is a huge shame since i want another seamless bra.

    Fits

I'm pretty excited about this bra, because it is the best fit I have encountered thus far in my bra search since discovering my proper size. Now, technically I am 26DD, but 28Ds have been sufficing. Maddie feels great compared to my old 34As (yeah...), but it is not without just a couple slight faults.

    What I don't like:

The top edge of the cup, despite looking flush enough when my clothes are off, shows prominently through almost all of my clothes. I got the obnoxiously orange colorway for only two reasons: It was about $20 cheaper than the continuity colors; and the top edge seemed a lot smoother than ... the embroidered edge of the others. Well, I didn't avoid the issue I was most worried about, but I'm glad I could afford to try this bra on.

The band is very stretchy, and I have to wear this on the tightest hooks in order to not have (far) too much gapping at the top and some shifting around throughout the day. I measure 26 underbust, though.

    What I love:

The gore and wires don't bother me!

The smooth surface makes it (almost) the perfect t-shirt bra.

It is the perfect width and depth for me! I -almost- quad out on my larger side, and there's a small gap on my smaller side (the best I can hope for, really), so I add a bit of padding to that small side and suddenly I feel fabulous! I know, I'm weird, but I couldn't stop staring at my boobs when I put this baby on. I've never looked like I had big or round ta-tas in my life, and Maddie did that for me. Honestly, I should return it because I probably won't wear it a ton (only because of the issues stated above), but... I can't. Not until I find something that better fits all of my requirements. I've invested too much time and effort into this journey to not own a single bra that is a perfect fit.

If you are shaped like I am (broad roots, full on bottom/outsides, wide-set, on the shallow end), definitely try this one out.

If you have a seam ripper you could (very carefully) take out the lace edging.

    • Saskia_C It actually isn't the lace at all, it's the edge of the cup itself that curls out just enough to show too much. Maybe it's the thickness of the material or that it hits my breast at just the wrong part of the curve. It's hard to say.

I had the same issue. It fits me but the edge of the cup shows through my clothing so I ended up returning it. I got it in black and I thought it was the thickness of the material and where it hits my breast that made it show. I had much better luck with B.tempt'd By Wacoal Ciao Bella Balconette (953144) though I am still trying to find the right fit with that one too, but it didn't show through my shirts as much even with all that lace.

  5. It's a great T-shirt bra for wide root shallow boobs, even though the pattern shows through thinner shirts.
It just about fit me, so I didn't keep it, because apparently my breast tissue keeps migrating all the time and I've already got enough bras with cups that are too small lying around here. I'll probably try it on again once my boobs have settled into a more definite size again.

    Hasn't set fit

I just received this bra in the mail, and I'm rather pleased so far. I have boobs that are too soft for the Juna, and other fully moulded bras around my size just aren't the right shape for me. On the Fantasie t-shirt bra, the apex for each breast was moulded about one inch too far to the sides for me, making me look rather projected east-west. This bra, however, is as close to perfect as I think I'll ever find. The wires aren't too wide if you're in the right band size. The full-band style seems to keep the cup width more stable than say, in the ... Lucy.

This bra has reasonable front armpit coverage, but it doesn't feel as if it's cutting into the armpit crease. I will warn that the band is a firm 36; I measure 34.5" at the underbust and I would not take a 34 in this bra. The band fastens with two hooks and three columns, and overall it is a thin band of a traditional style (no leotard back). It is low under the lats, and if you like taller bands for more support there, this probably isn't the bra for you. My monster lats are happy to have the freedom though.

As for the shape it gives, I find that it's a close to the body, compacted Cleo look that's quite round with a slight point at the cup apex, giving it a lighter look than you'd expect in a padded bra. It's not at all pointy though. I take the same size in this as I do in Cleo Lucy, which is a cup size up from what I need in a Marcie or Meg.

    Didn't fit

I LOVE the shape of this Cleo balconnet. Unfortunately it's a 34E and I just learned I'm probably a 34G/GG so it's just too small. That said, here is some fit info that may still hold true if it were in the right size for me. The straps are a bit wide set for my narrow shoulders and they are thin for the weight I carry. The wires are narrow and I think they'd be fine for me in a GG. The immediate projection from my IMF is fantastic.

This bra is small and very shallow. I get lots of overflow at the top so it looks absurd and doesn't feel comfortable either.

    I love this bra.
I recently tried the Cleo Maddie bras, and they are so comfortable!
I only regret I didn't try them earlier.

The shape is just perfect for wide, shallow breast.
The band is tight which is really nice for my 26 band.
I quite like the orange animal print, and the fact that the straps are not too wide (good with a nice summer top).

The cups are too shallow though, even for me!
So will have to try the 28H.

    Hasn't set fit

Oh, Maddie. I've tried this bra so many times over the past few years. I've tried it in pink, black, light blue and leopard print. I've tried it in 30FF, 30G, 30GG, 32F, 32FF, 32G and 32GG. There is nothing I can do to get this bra to fit. All I want is a simple, moulded balconette bra. Is that so much to ask? Apparently so. Where do I begin with Maddie. Bane of my existence, she's always on a rack and always on sale and so I keep trying. On the models, this bra looks gorgeous. On me, it makes my pendulous boobs look like bullets who ... are angry with each other.

I have soft, pendulous and high set boobs with shortish roots and am slightly full on top. I am reviewing the 30G because that is the size that should currently fit me best. The 30GG is too big and the 30G cuts in too much at the top. That is basically the story of my life with every Cleo bra I've tried except for 30GG - Cleo ยป Neve Plunge T-shirt Bra (7196) . The molding is also very stiff and the wires and cup edges go up way too high into my armpits. From the too-tight band to the unforgiving cups, this bra hurts. I also can't recommend it for petites. I honestly don't get how other people get a nice rounded shape. I get a funny oblong shape that points outwards. Why, Maddie?
