    Fits

This bra was a great buy for me. The fit is great (I struggle with bras that come too high up or with too wide a gap between cups). The bra sits perfectly in position on me and can be comfortably worn all day long.

As with my other @Cleo bras (@Tilda and @Kayla), my one quibble is with the stretchiness of the band. I am a fairly standard 32 band, but I found I had to go to the tightest hooks right away with the Marcie. There is perhaps a little tissue disappearing under the band that I would ideally like to be contained in the cups.

I would certainly buy this bra again in future but might try sister sizing down to a 30FF.

Band and fabric on this bra are STIFF. Chose to use extender for repeat wear for photos, since this is definitely going back. I really liked the UW fit – it’s a good match for my shape, if a bit small. I don’t have wrinkling along the UW like I do in the Panache main line bras. I did not like the shape this gives my breasts - they flatten out at the sides due to the bra construction, which creates an unattractive silhouette. I also felt like this moved my breast tissue too far to the center. I can’t imagine wearing this thing all day – I was uncomfortable for the short times I tried it on and took photos. It’s going back.

I acquired this in a swap, knowing I needed to play around with my size and having worried myself into a case of letterphobia as weight lifting continues to push me toward a size 34/75 ribcage. And, well...

The photos speak for themselves, don't they?

32G with an extender it is!

I think I could possibly go a cup size larger in this bra but I like the way it looks. The color is so rich! The only downside is because it comes up high under my armpits, it shows through a lot of the arm holes of my shirts. https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_sad.gif" alt=":(" /> The band was pretty scratchy when I first got it, but after a wash it is a little softer. I have read this is a common problem with Cleos because they starch them a lot at the factory. I hope it softens up more after a few washes.

Boobs did not fill the top of the cup. Everything else fit pretty good and was comfortable. I think I may need to go down a cup size, as these cups fit much better than the same size of the Cleo Lucy

    - Just a tiny bit too small everywhere! Gore is slightly too high and wide for my close set breasts, but it's so cute I don't care.

This bra is ok-ish for me. The band is pretty good but I think I might do better a cup size up. I get serious quad-boob when I first put it on and swoop & scoop. I can sorta make things look ok if I fiddle around for a few minutes pushing my boobs around but it's definitely not perfect. I also sometimes get a bit of a weird lumpy shape where the lace connects with the bra, maybe because the cups are too tight? It doesn't show while I'm wearing a shirt though. I wish it fit better in the cups because it's a really cute bra and it's still fairly comfortable. I'll be keeping it and maybe it'll fit better once I reach my goal weight. If not, it can always be my laundry day bra.

    Red colourway:

This bra has such a forgiving cut. It's honestly my favourite unpadded Cleo. I'd say the wires are on the narrow side of average, and the cup has lots of immediate projection all around. I've heard the upper lace section is extremely forgiving for those who are full on top, but even on my smaller breast (which is more full on bottom than even) the lace lays flat, so I suspect this cut suits a wide variety of shapes.

This is my second Marcie in 32F, and it serves to confirm that my 75cm underbust is officially in between band sizes on the Marcie. On my 30FF ... Marcie (admittedly the pink colourway, which I've heard runs much smaller in the band than any other colourway), I use the full length of an extender. On this and my yellow 32F Marcie, closing the bra on the loosest hooks results in the band riding up, so I end up fastening the bra on the middle hooks from purchase. Not my favourite way to buy a bra as I fear I won't get an overly long life out of it. But I couldn't resist the red. I have a sneaking suspicion I'll end up buying the Marcie in every colour it's released in, because it's such a comfortable and practical everyday bra.

    Yellow colourway:

The band of the pink ran tight enough that I sized up from the 30; however the 32 in the yellow feels a bit loose. I guess it's stable enough because it's not riding up, but after only a couple of wears I'm already onto the middle hooks.

My main problem with the Marcie is the high gore. While the gore is narrow (good for my close-set breasts), it's not narrow enough. The little button on the bow on the gore stops the wires from being able to bend towards each other - which is possibly its purpose, but there really isn't room enough for two wires ... between my breasts and because the wires can't bend toward each other, the only other option is for them to bend as a single unit. So I end up with two underwires on the inner tissue of my larger breast. It's not uncomfortable, luckily, but neither is it awesome, especially when I have to bend over to pick up the little one. I suppose I'll have to just remove the button, which is a bit of a shame because I kinda liked that feature.

Still, it works for now as a good enough everyday bra, and I prefer it to Lucy's wide gore.
