Cleos that fit: 30E Marcie, 30E Lily, 28F/30E Blake
Cleos that didn't fit: 30F Melissa, 28F Bella, 30E Pixie (all slightly too FoT)
I've tried Cleos that I didn't quite have enough top fullness for, but this bra is in a league of its own. I am so far from being able to fill the tops of these cups, while the listed Cleos I tried just had small gaping/were very close to fitting. So this bra needs top fullness! I also think it is a bit more shallow than Marcie and Lily. The wire width is pretty average. The band is a looser fitting one, but not as bad as some modern ones.
A lot of people call this bra ugly, but I really like some of the small details: the bow with three ribbon colors, the checkered stitching on the top part of the cup. It's fun and IMO not much worse than the usual gaudy colorful Cleo designs.
I recently tried cleo minnie (sister cut to Marcie, I believe), and it fit great. I'm more FOB, so I can't do tall cups. Just thought I'd throw in that suggestions.
Yep, I tried this one too in the same size (30E) and came SO FAR from filling out the top lace. Like, not even close. I'm even to a smidge full on bottom and I fit into the same ones you did (Marcie & Blake, both 28F due to stretchy bands). I had trouble with Izzy too, which I think might be a Melissa sister cut, but not even close to the amount of gapping I got with the Nyla.
This review is for the white bra. It is supposed to be the same cut as Kali. However it fits me better than my Kali and I'm not sure why. My guess is that it has more immediate projection and accommodates my very center full boobs better. Shape in a T shirt is also slightly different than the Kali. It has slightly less lift but still keeps my very dense boobs up well.
It measures almost identically to the Kali, except that the length of the band is several inches longer. The gore at 2.5 inches tacks pretty well, perfectly on my smaller boob side, but is very slightly on breast tissue on my larger side. I just don't have much room for a gore since my boobs touch in a bra.
I love Lucy (lol) and I expected to love Kali too - but for whatever reason the straps on the Kali dug into my like crazy....to the point of being painful. I thought they were the same cut too so this confused me.
I. LOVE. THIS. BRA. Holy moly. I was not one of the women who thought that this bra was gorgeous in photos. But that color, and that eyelash lace, when you put it on your body it is GORG. As soon as I put this bra on I was ordering the bottoms to go with it. This is the best fitting bra I have ever had.
The 4-part cup is heaven. So much immediate projection, that wire does not budge from my IMF. The width of the cup is spot on for me. I get a beautiful naturally rounded shape from this bra, not a spherical one that Cleo ...is known for. The top is quite closed off, not quite as much as my CK Bardot, but pretty close. You're going to need very FOB breasts or short roots to make this one work.
If I'm being 100% honest the cup is a teeny hair too small, but you can hardly notice. I have very short roots and it still just barely cuts in sometimes, but not enough that you can tell or that it bothers me. I also get a little bit of wrinkling near the stitching at the top of the cup, but not because it's too big, it seems like a tiny construction flaw maybe? As started in another review, the wires (at least in this size) are shorter than the wire channels by over half an inch, even though the side boning is as tall as the channels. It doesn't bother me, but I find it weird. The sides are quite tall, and that may bother many people, but I don't even notice. I think I am rather low set in addition to having short roots. My tissue starts almost below armpit level. Ideally I would have a slightly narrower or lower gore, because the wires sit on a tiny bit of tissue right at the center, but this doesn't bother me.
This bra may have single-handedly converted me to longlines. It took a couple minutes to get used to it, but I adore the extra security. My breasts aren't going anywhere in this thing. Honestly this bra is so comfortable I didn't even want to take it off to measure it. Read more 265 more words
This here is an EXCELLENT bra. I don't have the best history with half cups--they tend to gape on me--but this one is like magic. It's extremely round, has great projection, and even gives me cakes on a plate/marie antoinette cleavage, for the first time! If you like Polish half cups, get this bra!!
While the cups are perfect I do have a few problems with the rest of the bra--the straps are set so far apart they feel like they'll fall off my shoulders. The band is quite stretchy so I had to size down, but it gives me a big back roll. I wish Panache would take a note from CK and make 3-hook bands.
Some people have said the cups are tall but I find the opposite, they are actually the shortest cups I have measured in my size range at only 6".
The print on the cups is absolutely lovely and very modern. I do wish it continued onto the back. The whole of the bra is very soft.
I haven't measured many cups yet but I've definitely found 6-7" to be normal rather than TALL. Maybe they mean that the cups are too tall for their roots? :|a
I have to ask, are you sure this band isn't still too big? It's very diagonal on you rather than parallel to the ground. Is it cut so that it does that?
(Also I hear you on the two hooks. Panache two-hooks made me very twitchy about band size for a long time because they get uncomfortable so much faster than three-hook bands of the same tightness.)
I'm not sure what's going on with the band. I definitely noticed the diagonal position, but it's not too big, it feels slightly tight. My guess was that it's because it's so stretchy and thin, it's probably trying to get above where my back fat is, if it were a thicker and stronger band it would probably be straight.
This blue Lily with pink accents is .5 inch wider than my magenta Lily. So it fits more wide and shallow - I get bad in cup quadding, where my Magenta Lily only has the slightest hint of it.
Weirdly, this new blue color feels much softer than my used magenta.
I recently went up a size, so it's back to the drawing board, trying to find new bras that fit. This one fits the bill! Really projected, fits similar to Lily but with a stretch lace upper. Annoyingly, I get that weird in-cup quadboob along the seam between the lace and the bottom of the cup. I was able to remedy this with a thin moulded foam insert that came with another bra. It hasn't affected the fit, so it's a good solution for me.
I wish this bra had fit me, but even being the one Cleo that was consistently recommended for having narrow wires and lots of immediate projection (and it does!!) for some reason, the model just didn't work for me, which is sad since I loved the "Marcie Basketballs" shape (I can't remember whose review I read that on, but I thought it was hilarious and have since modified my mental name for that round shape to "basketboobs"). Unfortunately, the wires were too long which allowed the cups to be too wide... more about all this could be seen on my fit request with this bra, but since ...I myself am not quite sure exactly why it didn't fit, I'm not going to go into it more here.
What I can say with certainty: The 30HH Tangerine Marcie I tried was a lovely, bright orange-y peach shade that I thought was playful but still demure enough to work under many or most colored tops. It had a reasonably stable band despite having only two hooks, though the band seemed pretty stretchy to me - I'm not sure how those factors would combine and effect the lifespan of the bra in this size. The mesh was definitely transparent, even my very light pink ghost girl nipples were clearly visible through it, actually they were way more visible in this bra than they are normally. The mesh fabric of the main body of the bra was also prone to making my softish tissue wrinkle or "fold" in weird ways within the cup (probably becasue it didn't fit well) which were pretty visible and unattractive, which could be a unique thing about the tangerine shade, I don't know. The fabric also had enough stretch to it that when the strap pulled on the outside panel of the three-part cup that it was attached to, it created this visible line of tension across the cup that could be seen because it reflected light differently and made a vague depression along that line in the breast too. The center vertical seam in the tangerine marcie I tried was also very visible under the thin sweater I tried it with. I tried 3 comexim bras at the same time (65M - Comexim » Sonia Half Cup (406)65M - Comexim » Ingrid Plunge Bra (289)65N - Comexim » Burgundy Half Cup (357)) and tried all 4 bras with the same pink sweater. I'm not sure if it's possible to tell in the pictures, but in person the seams in the marcie showed through the most. This surprised me for some reason, so I thought I'd mention it, I guess I think of a bulkier padded bra as having bulkier seams but in this instance that didn't happen. Still, the shape was so nice that, had it fit me even slightly better, I would have kept it anyway and worn a tanktop or camisole with it if I cared about the seams showing - they weren't a deal breaker for me at all. This was my first long line bra. I'd debated of whether to try one; I have a short torso (very little space between the bottom of my rib cage and the top of my hip bones) and I worried it would be too long on me. Luckily my torso length (or lack of length https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_smile.gif" alt=":)" />) is not an issue.
The cups fit true to size for a 32FF. The cups are closed on top but do not cause any cutting in or quad-booming (I have even fullness). The wires do come up a bit too high into my armpit for my liking (for ...this reason, Bratabase flagged this bra as a non-fitting one for me) but it isn't painful.
The band fits snug like a typical Cleo. It feels a bit too tight right now -- probably due to the additional length -- but I know once I break it in a bit it'll be perfect. Getting the bra on was a challenge for me - took me a while on my own. When I sit I do find the band rolled up a bit but it wasn't visible under clothing; I was able to swiftly pop it back into place with my thumb once I stood up.
Now onto the color! The online pictures do not do the color justice! It is a rich, vibrant cobalt blue - more vibrant in person. I think this shade will look gorgeous on many different skin tones.
If you're on the fence about this bra, my vote is to try it! You might be surprised. Read more 158 more words
I found this NWT very inexpensively on Ebay and thought I would give it a shot, as I love my Cleo Marcies but have had trouble finding a good size in Lily since it's been discontinued. Previously I tried a 30G aqua and a 30FF magenta, and neither seemed to work. This fits nicely with a couple hooks of an extender to start out, as my underbust is 28" and this one runs quite firm in the band, so I find the shape is optimal when it's not being pulled to max tension. I think my best size would be 30FF, the same as I take in ...Cleo Marcie and Alexa.
I don't love the colorway at all (especially the neon orange straps) but I'm totally willing to overlook that because the uplift, centering and rounding this bra provides is just magical! It makes your frame look narrower from the front, and from the side it gives a beautiful globe-like profile. It feels very contained and secure, at the same time that it provides a very subtle cakes on a plate effect, almost like an unlined half cup would. There is excellent depth at the bottom of the cup and near the center gore, the fabric is smooth under shirts (even if the color is more difficult to disguise), and it's comfortable to wear all day. Overall, it's a great fit for my narrowish/projected and even shape, and I think it will be a great workhorse bra for me. Read more 143 more words
I already wrote a pretty thorough review of this same model in purple, so I will restrict comments in this review to this specific color way. Overall, the fit is really fantastic, this bra fits like it was made for me.
One thing I was surprised to notice upon opening the package was that this bra is not white and orange as it appears in stock photos, but actually light pink and orange. I'll try to get some photos that reflect this.
Once again, the little flowers embroidered on the cups show through thin shirts. Not the color, which is what you might ...expect from neon orange, but the texture. This is really disappointing because otherwise this might be my perfect bra! My only very slight quibble is that the wires are just a touch too wide for me, but it doesn't bother me, it's just something I noticed when I took the bra off and saw the marks on my skin.
As I mentioned in my other review, I bought these in a small lot from someone that was selling them very cheaply. Normally I would go for a 34GG, not a 32H, but these actually fit really well. Now I am left with the conundrum of whether that is due to the incredibly stretchy band or whether these were stretched out by previous owners. I guess I'll never know unless I need to order more...
Update: After wearing this bra and its twin a few times each, the area of the band right under the gore is not a problem I can overlook. It is sharp and digs in painfully and tends to leave marks that don't go away overnight. It's a shame, because the rest of the band doesn't feel too tight and the cups are like a second skin. Ah well, maybe I'll try it again in my actual size when new colors are released. Read more 219 more words
If you check the normal measurements for this bra, you'll see that it normally stretches to around 33.9", so they were definitely stretched out by their previous owner! :)
That's amazing, because they look new! Either way, I'll keep them. I had a feeling that might be the case because in Panache bras I'm absolutely a 34 band, it seemed strange that Cleo would be so different!
It might also be that Cleo IS a bit different; I keep hearing it called their junior line, and I know that many Panache-pure bras are more expensive.
Some stretch measurement difference is bound to happen just because not all of us are stretching to the same extent, but I do think 3+" of difference is probably somewhat a wear issue :)
I would try a 34 and 32 the next time you order!
I had this. The gore made me feel sick and it poked in until I finally get rid of this bra for 1.50€ on ebay.de. But it looks cute concerning the design.
This bra was recommended to me by sooooo many people, I just had to get my hands on one. I've got tall roots and I'm a smidge FOT so of course the Marcie seemed like the best decision. Well.... it fits. Kind of. The band is TTS and measures exactly 28" stretched. I'd prefer a 26 band, but it was snug on the tightest hook. The wire width is good, not too narrow and not uncomfortably wide. The cups, quite frankly, are too short. They fit fine when I am standing in a neutral, relaxed position, but as soon as I move around at all they start quadding a bit. It's nothing major, just a bit annoying. For now, the Marcie is one of my best fitting bras.
After finding newer Cleos having looser bands, I thought Bella might be the same. I'd say this bra doesn't run big in the band! I'm more of a 30E with a comfortable underbust measure of 28-30". I could hardly fasten this bra alone - I wore an extender with it. Unfortunately the cups were wide on me, despite always using the extender and trying to bend them thinner once. I could bend them to around 5", but they returned to their original width of around 5.5" with wear. The wideness was a problem, and I couldn't get the top portion of the cup to be as wrinkle free as my Lily or Marcie.
So, this bra definitely runs big in the cups. I was warned about this, so I ordered it in 30D instead of 30DD. I usually wear 26F in Polish and 28E in UK brands, but Skye begins at 28F for whatever reason. So I have Skye in 30D, and aside from the band obviously being too big, it's a great fit, and it's really soft and comfortable. In comparison with my 28E Marcie and Kali, Skye's cups are taller on the sides and shorter at the gore. It's not quite a plunge, but it's different from the other Cleo balconettes. The matching knickers in XS are pretty true to size.
Panache Cleo Skye attempt no 4. Ive tried 28FF, 32E, 30F and now 32DD. 32E - cups very large and band way too lose, 28FF - cups too large (but little smaller than 32E) and band too tight, 30F - band perfect, cups like 1/2 size too large (kind of worked as a full cup when straps pulled up but wires too wide and strap placement too wide due to too big cups). Thats about other sized Ive tried Ive snapped this in 32DD in cheaper price than 30E so decided to give a go as 30F wasnt horrbile but I had to try smaller size and I must admit ...I am kind of really happy with that! The band obviously I can close on the tightest set of hooks, definietly Id need band 30. However it is very comfy. The wires are spot on! 13cm wires are my perfect width so they do not end almost in the middle of my armpits and also the cups is shorter on the side so more comfortable The cup depth is good, very good - but tiny in-cup quad occurs on the bigger side. Also I have very tiny gapping near the gore, but i think I can just adjust straps better and it will dissapear. Also the cup coverage is much lower than in 30F, so I guess 30e would be really my best size. Strap placement is still little to wide but it should bother my armpits.
So yay, I am even more happy now but still Id prefer to have 30E. however, the band can be little adjusted with moms help *_* anyone interested in buying or swapping 30F or 32DD for 30e? https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_smile.gif" alt=":)" />)))))
I wish!! I love this bra and really want to try it but I definitely would need a 28F in it, especially since I've heard the band runs large.
Well, lcl0706 I wouldn't say it runs really large, but maybe little looser than Marcie - so not bad :) hope you'll Find your 28F! I wish the new colour version isn't pink, id love it in yellow with blue or pink instead *_*
Very exciting :) i was tempted for your 30F but realistically know it would probably be a bit big in the cup. Maybe one day we'll get 30Es!
Ive been looking to get Marcie in better size than 34D for some time now and when I got my babydoll in 65F I was amazed how it made my boobs to look. However after wearing it today Im little bit concerned about some issues. First of all, the bra makes my bust looks really nice! I feel like I have boobs, as its not minimising at all but opposite which is great for a soft bra Secondly, my boobs feel so stable. They dont bounce as this occurs even with some Ewa bras! Thus, cups looks perfect, the depth is great and theres no wrinkling or gapping anywhere, ...buuut! the strap placement is bit too wide in this size. moreover the cups are too wide and they do annoy especially my right smller side causing red marks due to this fact. Maybe the cups is not really my perfect size? or maybe its not the style I should wear? also wires are unfortunately too wide for me a little. After I took bra, the line was like 0.5cm behind my boobs - i think Im going to bend wires and see how that fits. The band is perfect for my 73cm underbust - felt little too tight after I put it on, but later was okay. During a day I had episode of itchiness under the band and felt like i need to pull the band a little from my body - and it helped. later was okay with no issues. Beside the issues with too wide cups I really love the bra - and I think Ill keep it. However, if cups on the side end too close to my armpits and wires are too wide - would sizing down be a good option? or this may cause quadboobs?
This bra is brilliant for my shallow, wide rooted breasts and is one of only a few bras that can give me a decent cleavage and has a low enough gore to go under any low cut tops/dresses. It's sits really well and encloses me completely and I feel supported and does give a good rounded smooth shape under clothes but it is still a shallow shape. Therefore, I usually wear it with fairly low plunging necklines but would sometimes rather wear my Bravissimo Satine with a medium shallow plunge or my Cleo Maddie for a low but rounded/square neckline for a little more of a projected shape as I am already pretty shallow, but is till looks good under a tight fitting top of any neckline.
This is just too small all around for me. I tried it out based on a measurement search, but the band is probably two sizes too small, and likewise with the cup. It seemed to handle the projection at the bottom of my breasts just fine, though, and it's a super cute bra that I expect would be comfy and lovely in the right size. If only it came in my size!
It's beautiful and I'm really dissapointed it doesn't fit me. I thought it would fit the same way as Cleo Minnie Longline Padded Balconnet Bra (7435) but it doesn't. At first I ordered it in my usual 30E but it had too big cups for me and also band was little bit tighter. So I tried 32D. But this doesn't fit me either. It still has too open cups for me (I would never believe I say something like that due to my tall roots) but they are also too small and the central gore doesn't tack my sternum. Cups are definitely more open on tops than Minnie's cups. I still have this beauty at home and I would like to sell it, so if somebody is interested in Breeze in 32D, just let me know. It's new without tags.
I love the breeze too. But as you I need at least something like FF cups in it. It is so difficult to get in those sizes and they are quite expensive on ebay. *sigh*
How does the band fit?
Which one do you mean? I have a 30E Minnie which fits quite okay. The band is quite tight. I dont know about Breeze except that it costs 60$ on ebay. I'd probably exchange Minnie for your Breeze. My sister wears 30DD. It could probably fit her.
Of course it only costs 60$ in sizes bigger than E.😑
Just saw someone listing it size 34E. Perhaps this will fit you.☺
Prettyncharmeuse It's 65 cm long, it could be firmer but definitely wearable for my 73 cm underbust.
I'm a big fan of color and pattern, as well as on a perennial hunt for a molded bra with enough projection, so I was delighted to find Karen on EBay. Well, she sure is cheerful and bright! Pink, purple, blue and yellow stars on a black background, with deep pink rickrack trim and a little pink grosgrain ribbon bow. Fun! The material is slightly shiny, smooth, and extends all the way around. The straps are very thin and very, very stretchy - the band does the work here. The band is a little small for a 32, but not uncomfortable. The wires are a deep U shape, ...and come up well on the sides while the gore is quite narrow at the bottom - providing firm enclosure on the sides and in the center. A front & center profile. For a molded cup, the immediate projection is good, similar to unlined Cleo's like Izzy or Ellis; but not shallow like Maddie (which is what I expected). The wires are definitely Cleo-firm! The smooth cup and little trim are completely invisible under tight knits. However, the top of the cup toward the center cuts in firmly and I quad pretty badly. An extender doesn't help, as it sometimes does. This bra might be better for short and narrow roots without a lot of center fullness. I think my breasts are being held in and up too much, then encountering the firm top edge. Pity, because Karen really makes me smile! Read more 142 more words
