It's too small https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_sad.gif" alt=":(" /> I thought I could make it work since I have the Lucy in a 32F, which is a little too small in the cup as well, but for some reason the 30FF feels even smaller. It's definitely too small in the band as well - I can fasten it, but it just feels uncomfortable to wear. I find I can only fit 30 bands if the material is very stretchy, such as Curvy Kate's Showgirl line.
That said, there's something really beautiful and classic about the white colorway in the Cleo Lucy. I'll probably end up ordering one in the 32FF. And this one will be a nice bra for someone else once I list it.
Fit when I first got it, but thanks to tissue migration it's started to cut in a little bit on top. Fairly wide underwires but not uncomfortably so. Even stretch on the entire cup sets this apart from the Marcie, which I found to have too much of a stretch differential between the bottom/side of the cup and the upper lace part.
i would normally have gotten a 30F but i was reading a blog post, and the girl said she sizes up because she's full on top, and it was on sale for a discounted price on amazon in a 30FF (free 2-day shipping? i love amazon prime!) it seems to be working out great! if i slouch it starts to gape a bit at the top, but other than that, the cups fit quite well, and for the first time, NOT A HINT OF QUAD BOOB (even in the big one!)
if i were to change anything with the bra it'd be the straps. i am cursed ...(or in this case, blessed) with enormously broad swimmer's shoulders, and if the straps were any further apart they would be slipping off - they are just a little wider apart than i'd like. they're also wider than i'd like, but i suppose i'll just have to suck it up and get used to that.
i have this bra in navy with pink. i am not a big fan of super girly things, but the bra is mostly navy and the pink (or the tiny flowers) isn't overwhelming. very cute :]
just got it today so no clue about how it'll wear with time, but i've been reading good things, so hopefully it'll last.
update: the bra rubs a touch under my right arm. i only notice it when i wear it the whole day, and it was worst the first time and has been getting progressively better. i sized up in the cup according to brasihate's suggestion, but i think i could maybe have gotten away with my normal size. i'll try that next time, i guess.
update 2: i've worn this bra maybe 7 times and it no longer rubs under my right arm. i still think i should try getting a 30F and altering the gore to turn the cups inward a bit to minimize quad-boobing.
I'm a bit disappointed in this bra. My left boob seems to fit but my right one doesn't. I love the high centre gore and the band fits well, meaning that it looks like I'm a 30 instead of a 32.
I love the color of this bra, it is very soft and doesn't show under clothes. However, I do not like the shape of it as much as other bras - I feel it keeps my wide set breasts far apart and does not help create cleavage or give a super round shape. I really do like this bra as it fits well, however I find the wires to poke uncomfortably on my ribs. It is possible this is just because I am getting used to to the tighter band size. Additionally, this bra might run a cup size small - I normally were ...a 32E or a 30F and I bought a 30FF in this and it still isn't holding all of my breast tissue, particularly at the armpits.
Edit March 2013: The gore in this bra pokes into my sternum even though it's so short/low, and the cups I don't think fit anyone quite right. I have quad boob and the cuts are too deep/wide set for me. I would need at least a 30G in this bra to stop the quad boob but then I think I would have empty space in the cups. I know this bra is tempting but consider buying something else. Read more 103 more words
I thought I loved this bra when I had it in a smaller size. I then went up in size from an E cup to a F cup (UK sizing) and the my 30E Cleo Jude was giving me major quad boobing. I got the 30F and it fit when I tried it on at the store. I took it home and it felt like it fit, but, now I can't seem to fit the cups. I think maybe I'm back in the 30E again. Also, the sides tend to dig into my armpits a lot and it gets to be uncomfortable. In addition, I've since noticed that I'm having major bottom creasing going on in this bra (kinda like orange in a cup fitting) and it just does not look right. I love the bra because it is gorgeous and sexy but it just is not fitting me right anymore.
Adorable! So far I have only tried it on, not worn it for several hours yet. But the cup shape seems well-suited to my shape, and the design is super cute. On the left cup, the decorative fabric over the actual cup is slightly wrinkled, but that's a manufacturing thing, not a fit issue. I'll update with any changes after I've worn it for a day!
I measure myself at a 30F but from what I read in reviews about it on Nordstrom's website, I decided to go up a cup size. The cups lay flat if I keep my shoulders just slightly further back than is comfortable for me to maintain as normal posture, but as soon as they move forward at all, cavernous spaces open up on the sides :[ and because the cups are so wide they rub a bit on the sides. No good for me, unfortunately. The center gore is also too high for me and rubs, although the one on my Zia is the same height and doesn't poke so badly.
The Karen has become my go to t-shirt bra. It give a nice rounded shape and is smooth under tight tops. The band is very stretchy. Sometimes the gore pokes into my larger breast but otherwise a comfortable bra.
NAVY/PINK: Bra fits very well while standing up straight. Lace gapes while bending over, lying down, etc. However, I still love this bra as it gives a great shape and is very cute.
BLACK: The black lucy runs smaller than the colors. This bra *almost* fits but the lace cuts in at the top giving me mild quadraboob. The band also feels tighter than on the colored Lucys.
Overall the Lucy is comfortable enough for daily wear, and fits relatively true to size although you should consider sizing up a cup size in the black if you are on the fence in other Cleos.
Also, others have mentioned that the underwires can dig in; I experienced this at first too. Try bending the underwires, it helps a ton.
Very pretty yet practical bra. Unfortunately, I was still figuring out my true size when I got it so although it fit me much better than my old bras it doesn't really fit me perfectly.
This is a good every day bra. The fabric is very soft and comfortable and it gives a nice rounded shape. It is a very good bra, quite open on top so it isn't likely to cut into your breast (if it does go up a size).
Don't expect the lace to lie perfectly flat. If it does it is probably giving you a quadboob since the lace is not stretchy. Along the same lines, this is probably not suitable to wear with clingy then tops.
Overall I've been happy with the support level of this bra. This was my first attempt to buy a properly fitting bra and I think I can do better, but it's much better than what I was previously wearing. The seams on the cup cut into my breasts a little so it doesn't give a smooth profile under my clothes unless I wear a cami over it. The band fit is snug and doesn't ride up. I've owned this bra for 6 months now and just recently moved to the second hook so it doesn't seem to stretch alot.
Runs one cup size small. Band is too big for me and rides up but I do still wear it often and will be altering it soon. The cups fit perfectly. I also tried a 28 G and while the band fits on that one the cups are off. I am not sure why the difference, the 28 does have a slightly wider center gore. I usually prefer padded bras but this one gives an awesome shape despite the lack of it. Very pretty bra! I have it in berry but will keep an eye out for more colors in a 28 G. Underwires are wider than my Fantasie and Curvy Kate bras but it doesn't seem to affect comfort or fit in my case...will definately buy this one again.
Gorgeous colours, gives me a great rounded shape. Comfortable straps.
This size was too small for me. The band is bigger than on the Cleo Lucy in the same size but still feels a bit too tight. The cup is too small though and cuts in at the top and doesn't fully enclose my breast tissue.
I think I should try this in a 32FF? That woulg give me a band size higher and a cup size higher.
I have this in yellow and i love the colour. Unfortunately this size doesn't fit me. The band feels to tight, and I'm not sure it will stretch out enough with wear. And either way, the top of the cup digs in to my breast so those are too small as well, even though the lace is a bit stretchy, and not as hard as it is on the Bonnie for example.
Other than that I love how this feels and the shape it gives my breast.
I think I should try this in a 32FF for a correct size.
This is a pretty t-shirt bra though I find if I wear it all day it gets a little uncomfortable - the wires start digging in a bit. May be that it's relatively new still. It's not as supportive as my other Cleo bras but since it's a plunge I didn't really expect it to be.
