Aesthetically, I really like this bra. It is a hot pink laminated bottom cup overlaid with a black mesh. The top portion of the cup (in my size, and in GG+ sizes) is a layer of stretchy black mesh overlaid with stretchy black lace. It has pink hardware, and a black and pink bow on the center gore.
Fit wise, this bra is narrow, very deep, and best for evenly full breasts. It has a pretty wide center gore but it does have a pretty good amount of room at the center. I will probably narrow the gore at some point, just because my breasts are fairly close set. The shape is the tiniest bit pointy on me, probably because it is so deep. I don't mind it. https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_smile.gif" alt=":)" />
I had to size down from 32GG to 30H. Part of that may be that this bra is a little stretchy, but I think this is mostly due to my underbust measurement having gone down from 31" snug to 30".
I saw this cheap on ebay and couldn't resist after trying the longer version in 28H and finding the cups too small. This bra is very pretty. The lace detail is gorgeous and the little pink bow in the centre is a really nice accent. The straps have a super soft fuzzy lining on the inside and they're quite thick and not cutting in. The band is comfortable, I feel very supported and my back is happy. I think this is currently the best fitting bra I own now.
I am breastfeeding and tried it on just before feeding and it seemed to fit perfectly. These photos were taken just ...after a feed so there is a little bit of space at the top for my boobs to fill up a bit again. I'm going to have a go at converting it into a nursing bra.
Edit: Little things that are bothering me after wearing it most of the day. The wires are too wide for me and the gore is also too wide and sits on my breast tissue. It is not really uncomfortable though, just annoying. I was able to add nursing clips so I can use it as a nursing bra. Read more 93 more words
It's a good sign when silent screams of glee start up as soon as you open a package. This bra is the brightest, most fluorescent green I've ever seen in my life. I own several bright green items, and they can't stand up to it. Obviously, no internet picture could possibly do it justice. It's most comparable to the edges of those see-through yellow-green LEGO parts that come with the space sets--their edges, not the clear bits.
However, I knew when I bought the bra that I might need to make an exchange. I have a lot of 30GG bras at the moment that I'm nearly, or already, quadding ...out of. The Cleo Lucy (5851) I bought this to replace is pretty far gone in that realm. I think I'm more of a 30H/HH in Cleo at the moment. As with my original brush with the Cleo Lucy, it was very hard for me to tell whether this bra fit in the cup or not. I decided the Lucy was a perfect fit, not a quadboob disaster waiting to happen, and I was right. With the Kali, it was less clear-cut. I felt less positive about the cups than I did about Lucy's, but the Kali also seems to offer a slightly less round shape than Lucy, overall. I didn't want to go up in the cup and lose the iconic Cleo shape, as it's one of the major reasons I bought the bra. But I tried on the bra the next day and got some quadding, so I'll be going up a cup size.
As far as other aspects of the bra, either the scaling is really good or Cleo has calmed down with their wire width. I'm not getting stabbed in the armpit or underboob at all. This is surprising, given my usual experiences with both Cleo and Panache, as I need narrower wires and am short. The band feels like a very decent 30-back. I'm wearing it on the loosest hooks. Have I mentioned said hooks (and eyes) are orange, matching the front bow? I'm a fan, even though I plan to cut the bow off. Overall, this bra is pretty comfortable.
One of my major questions when I first saw pictures of this bra was whether the ridiculously ill-advised embroidery on the underside of its cups (can we start a petition?) would show through tight shirts a la Lucy's damned raised polkadots. They do, but it's not as bad an effect as with the Lucy. The leaves are a good deal more subtle. They don't look like a very regularly placed attack of hives, and I think there are also less of them. The leaf embroidery on the upper part of the cup doesn't show at all. There is some wrinkling of the lower cups' top layers of mesh that might bother some people. I assume it's due to the cup shallowness I mentioned, even though I'm filling out the cup fine. Read more 385 more words
I really like the Hettie. It was actually the first bra I got when I bumped up to 30H--I had a pink one that's now worn out. Hettie has decently narrow wires, is decently projected, and in GG and above cups, it has an extra layer of stretch lace, which I really enjoy. I do wish it had 3 instead of 2 hooks, but it's not a big enough deal to bother me.
Over all, a really nice, comfortable bra for my shape! Still having my recent slight gaping issue with this one--a bit more noticeable on my smaller side. The pictures are definietly exaggerating the amount of gaping ...though.
I also /really/ like the black on me. My camera doesn't though--my very light skin paired with the black bra confused it, so sorry if some of the pictures are weird. I think the little dots are cute, but if you don't, they're very faint.
Final thing I'll note is that, at least on my body, the Hettie is really creaky (this was the case with the pink one I had before too). Read more 72 more words
Cleo Kayla is actually more appealing in person than it is in pictures. When I saw the promotional images, I really didn't care for the appearance at all. I decided to order it because I thought the shape of the bra would work well for me. The light blue is actually nice, the multi-colored lower cup is shiny and super soft. The light blue stretch lace has some lime green accents, as does the bottom of the band. The adjusters, rings, and the bow on the gore are all a reddish pink. Per Cleo's standard, it has three columns of two hooks and eyes. It does have the ...padded straps that Cleo/Panache add for GG+ cup sizes.
Kayla has a stretch lace upper cup that, unlike Cleo Hettie, has NO trim on it, so it should work quite well for a variety of top shapes. It has narrow wires, plenty of room in the bottom of the cup and by the center gore. It gives a very uplifted, rounded shape that is typical for unlined Cleo's.
Unfortunately for me, it is just too small after my recent growth, and I sadly cannot find a 30HH at this time. My smaller right breast fits okay, but the larger left quads even with the stretch lace. When the new SS17 Kayla comes out, I will definitely be purchasing one. Read more 117 more words
Phew. Can't remember the last time I tried so hard to buy a new bra style.
I adore this bra. I think the colour is wonderful, the shape is flattering and the longline makes me feel like I could wear this around the house all weekend with a singlet and be 21 again.
Unfortunately I don't think it suits my shape AND it's actually quite hard to get on.
I bought a size 30GG - my usual Cleo/Panache size these days - to try first off. Unfortunately it dug right into my breast tissue and gave me a noticeable bulge above the bra edge. Otherwise the bra was pretty good ...- a bit loose around the back about half way down the hooks though. Other than the digging into the breast tissue, it looked good on and I was tempted to keep it.
I knew I would be tugging at the top of the cup all day if I kept the 30GG trying to get it smooth, so I send the 30GG back and tried the 30H. I have never ever worn a size H cup before, but I knew that the 30 band was only just tight enough and I wouldn't want to go up to a 32 band to stay in the same cup size.
This is the 30H that I've photographed on me here. It still digs into my breast tissue towards the centre gore and the straps are now really uncomfortably wide and the underwires are way too wide. I wonder if the 30GG was also too wide and I wasn't settling into the bottom of the cups either. Maybe that's why I'm inching out the top of the cups.
Either way, wrong shape for me. Sorry Piper!
Congratulations to everyone who suits this style - it's gorgeous.
(ps. Also, I usually but a bra on by putting the cups against my belly - face down - and then reach around and clip the hooks and eyes together with my hands, then flip the bra over and up onto my breasts... that was very difficult to do in a longline where it has corsetting for inches down the sides in addition to the underwires. I wonder if I owned this how many days I would think TOO HARD and wear a different bra after all) Read more 274 more words
oh dear what a bummer. Well, if it's any consolation, I don't think I have seen any (maybe 1?!) medium or full bust size range folks who have managed to get a fit in this. It seems to be a lovely fit on smaller cup people who overall are more likely to have a nice straightish slope to the upper boob that matches the Piper's construction, but on anyone bigger than E or so, it's been mostly a fail.
Thank you for your struggles, as I was just eying this bra at Figleaves. You happen to also be in the neighborhood of my size and shape, so now I know it wouldn't be worth it to order this. I've had such bad luck with longline cups not being deep enough to accommodate my FOB breasts, but I love the look of longlines.
I love the Piper bra! When I saw the first picture I was thrilled because it looks like a great fit. However, then I saw the second picture. Even in my very small size the Piper bra digs in! (30D - Freya » Piper Longline (1233) These bras are definitely not for wide breasts.
wendybien I own it in 30F (need it in 28FF) and it's a very good fit on me. I think it's definitely suited for very very short roots or a vFOB shape.
ShaniSunAZ the Cleo Piper and Freya Piper are two different bras. They're both longlines, but the Freya is a padded halfcup and the Cleo is an unlined balconnet, so the fit will not necessarily be comparable. In this case, the bulging is caused by the cups being too short/closed off.
Cheerful, vibrant print - a bit 'loud' and girly perhaps, but I like it.
As my Cleo Maya (sister cut) was kind of small in a 30GG, I decided to try this in 30H (found it for £9 on Ebay). Quite a couple of issues with this fit though.
Firstly, the straps are WAY too wide set. This is practically always an issue for me, but Nyla is a big offender. Next, the cups are too closed on top. They cut into my breast tissue, while the depth is fine. So that's a shape mismatch (a bigger size would probably be too deep). Also, there's wrinkling in the bottom of the cups ...- not sure if this is a projection issue, or connected with the shape mismatch / too closed cups forcing the bra downwards?
The wide set straps and too-closed cups seem worse than in 30GG Maya, which was in fact a better fit. Because this was cheap and I do love the print, this might end up being an alterations experiment..
In unlined bras it seems harder to lower / open up the cup height, something I've been wanting to try. Some tugging and pulling on Nyla seems to show that attaching the pink part to the straps (while also moving the straps inward) could greatly improve the fit of this bra.
I'll update when I ever have time to try this out 😉 Read more 122 more words
Narrow cups and great immediate projection. Lovely round shape. Very good for those of us with upper fullness.
Odd thing to note, though: the band on the 28H I have comes up tight yet the band on this 30H comes up loose.
I would call this Cleo Marcie Balconnet Bra (6831)‘s cousin rather than her replacement. Noticeably to me, Marcie has a narrower gore and overall feels more ‘dainty’.
Goddamnit Cleo. 32GG stretches over 34 inches, 30H stretches to 31.3 inches. I can't win, can I? All I want is this bra in a true to size band, is that REALLY too much to ask? I can fasten it (my tight UB is 30.5") but it doesn't feel comfortable. There is wire distortion that is pulling the cup shallower and it's also giving the cup a pointy shape that it doesn't normally have.
Partially adjustable padded straps. Cups narrow, deep. Cups made of two layers, bottom layer is a sturdy mesh, top layer is a geometric stretch lace. Side wing is a single layer of sturdy power ...mesh. Definitely doesn't allow as much room for top fullness as Marcie. Has a good amount of room at the bottom of the cup, but not as much as Lily/Hettie. Average amount of room at the center gore (it might be pulled more flat, will try again with extender and revisit this). Side seam but not side boning, two hook closure. Okay, with an extender the shape isn't as pointy and there seems to be a little more room at the center gore. Note - unlike previous Cleos I own this one has hooks with wide vertical spacing! My extenders don't fit well.
I bought this bra for the looks, no doubt about it. It's been described as a Bond girl bra and I do get that vibe. Cerise and light peach is a striking combination, the only decoration is a dainty leopard print bow which is just kooky enough for Cleo. The geometrical stretch lace top layer is tasteful and stylish. Hardware is a matching light peach. Read more 169 more words
I purchased the bright blue colorway...I just couldn't resist that color! This is my first 30H in Cleo. All of my other Cleo's are 30GG (or sister sizes 32G/34FF). I ordered both the 30GG and the 30H in this model and decided to keep the 30H. I had a bit of "quadraboob" in the 30GG. I wasn't surprised because I quad a bit in the 30GG Lucy also. This gives me a slightly different shape than the erin/meg/marcie/natasha styles. A bit more minimized. Don't get me wrong, this is by no means a minimizer bra! It's just that the shape I get is a little bit wider than those other styles. I have projected, narrow roots, with even fullness and soft tissue.
This bra is a beautiful pinkish coral shade with adorable contrasting purple hooks in the back and a little bow in the center. Soft, moulded cups with pink leopard mesh overlay on the outside. Leopard mesh from the wings to the hooks. Band is TTS. Very low gore, as you would expect with a plunge. Tacks perfectly. Beautiful, upfront and rounded shape. Hooks are 2 hooks x. 3 rows. Accommodates my very close-set boobs w/center fullness quite nicely.
Only downside is this is at least one if not 2 cups too small for me. https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_sad.gif" alt=":(" /> if I don't fully ...scoop and swoop I can make it work as long as I'm not too active. I do have to stop and scoop of my boobs back in rather often, but I will keep for now. It is awfully sexy & supportive.
The Koko Mode bra also is slightly larger than the 30H Cleo Koko Flirty Plunge T-shirt Bra (7936) & 30 H Cleo Maddie Moulded T-shirt Bra (7201) . Both were absolutely WAY too small. (No measurements - I sent them back before I started listing bras in this community. https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_sad.gif" alt=":(" /> Read more 103 more words
I have been thinking about getting the Koko Mode and the Koko Flirty. I love the Neve Strapless and the Koko Icon so I figured that the plunge versions of the Neve and Koko might be worth a shot.
A lot of people have been saying that the Neve and Koko run small in both the band and the cup, so this is good to know.
Saskia_C Glad it helped! I'd say that the band was pretty firm, but ok for a 30. I agree the cups on the other two do run a bit small, too. Usually I can fudge down a cup size (I run 30HH-J or 28JJ in Cleo & Panache) but I couldn't do that with the Maddie & Koko Flirty. Good luck!
I first tried it in the middle of the night, after a very long intense day, and the band was painfully tight, so I left it and tried it on the next morning. I must have been very bloated, because the next morning it fit perfectly. The band is snug, but is never too tight, which I love. The straps were too tight, so I had to untighten them all the way. They were still supportive like this, but I think they might be a bit short for some people, especially if you have intense shoulder pain. I have moderate shoulder pain, so some days I have to ...wear my straps off or longer than usual. These straps I could definitely tighten a bit more if I didn't have shoulder pain. The cup fits fine after swooping and scooping, there's some gaping in the lace sometimes when I move, but it's only noticeable when moving my arms a lot and looking directly at the lace. I fill it after a few hours though, since my breasts swell a little. The gore is too high for me, not high enough to feel pain, but at the end of the day or if I spend a lot of time lounging, it bothers me a little, the wires end up digging in. It's okay though, since I can wear it for a few hours and then take it off or change it. Other than that it's extremely comfortable, super breathable, and it's soooooo pretty. It also gives me a pretty nice shape and lifts a lot more of my tissue than other projected bras. I doesn't show through most of my clothes (it's bright orange, so it does show through extremely thin shirts and white ones, but not through grey or other colours) and the embroidered hearts don't show either. I definitely love it, and if I find more in different colours, I'll get them. Read more 212 more words
This review is for the bluebell colorway. This bra has great immediate projection and also enough room for my center fullness. There is also enough room at the tops of the cups to accommodate my tall roots. I have a bit of extra fabric at the outsides of the cups, as the wires are just a bit too wide for my narrow roots, but I also don't have much outer fullness. And this bra has narrower wires than most UK bras that I have tried in this size range. I find this bra to be quite comfortable - nothing really digs in anywhere. I also have this bra in this size in black and do not notice any fit differences between the two colors. Short roots or full on bottom boobs would likely have a problem filling out the tops of the cups, but this is a solid, comparatively inexpensive bra for those of us with tall roots. I lucked out and found this bra on sale at Amazon for $16.95, so it was a great find!
I'm pretty disappointed in the fit and construction of Cleo's SS16 bras. The band on this bra is uncomfortably loose, and even though it (and Blake) is supposed to be based on the Marcie, they're nothing alike. The cup fits okay, but it cuts in a little at the top because of the lace trim and is slightly smaller than the Marcie in the same size. The shape of the upper portion of the bra also looks kind of straight-across flat instead of rounded. I'm a little full on top, but mostly rounded. This bra might work if you have very short roots and low set breasts? Maybe ...with outer fullness? But I would recommend going down one sister size.
The design is GORGEOUS, unfortunately it's not really all that well-made, which surprised me. There are loose strings and the aqua lace is already pilling even though I've only tried it on briefly and not even under clothes, since the fit is uncomfortable.
Will probably return this one. So far the only SS16 Cleo bras that have worked for me are the Kayla and the bluebell colorway of the Marcie. Read more 80 more words
The band feels snug on the loosest hooks but isn't digging in and it isn't riding up. I don't have to tighten the straps much at all. In my previous bras I've always had to tighten them to right before the padded part of the strap. The wires feel great, no cutting in and they're narrow enough. Also there isn't any space in the bottom of the of the cups and I can fit the wires into my infra mammary fold. The gore is comfy and flat, no pressure or cutting in. The width of the gore is nice too. The strap width feels nice too, I can put my arms up without getting cutting in. The top of the cups is very open. I don't wanna take this bra off!
This bra is adorable and makes me feel so ... round! So perky! I love it. I wear it for events where I'm dancing in a bra. Unfortunately, the underwire is really thick and stiff, so it digs into my sides as well as at the gore. I can't wear it for too long, even though my tits look fantastic in it, because I get uncomfortable red imprints at the ends of the underwire. I would recommend this bra if you just want your tits to look amazing and feel incredibly well-supported for a short period of time, and don't mind cutting off your circulation in the skin ...at your armpits and your sternum.
Update after some time: Another drawback to this bra, again emphasizing that it's adorable and your boobies will look amazing, is that it does wear hard! Those nights of dancing in my bra are starting to show after only a few months. The dye is starting to wear off around the underwire and where the seams rub against my skin and the band, originally almost too tight at its largest hooks, is already more comfortable at its second and can even be worn comfortably on its tightest hook. I love the look of this bra. I fell in love with the color as soon as I saw it. However, the underwire is a bit too narrow for me and it is uncomfortable. I wish Panache (Cleo) bras worked for me but they don't!
Comfortable and cute bra. This fits almost identical as a 30GG Freya Deco, but I actually think this is more comfortable. The gore is also lower/smaller and more plungy, but I wasn't spilling out of the middle. The band is also much smaller than the 30GG deco so it's nice and firm. I love it! This is a really great bra.
I highly recommend this to those who are full on top! I've never found an unpadded balconette that doesn't cut in on top. I love it! I agree with the consensus that this runs large in the cup. Other Cleos are too small for me in a 30H, but this fits really well and I think a 30HH would be too big for me.
It's such a beautiful colour! I love green lingerie!
