I have been curious to try this bra, as it feels like something a bit different style wise. I love the blue color, the fun lace on top, and it fits really nicely!
The bra is comfortable, and may be a bit minimizing, at least in appearance, not sure about under clothes.
My underbust is around 29.5, and I am wearing this bra on the tightest hooks, which I frequently need to do with bras that are a 30 band.
I think this bra will be really cute to wear with racerback and similar tops that show a bit of the lace overlay at the front.
The cups are sheer. With the combination of the la e overlay I think this will be nice for hot and humid summers.
There aren’t many of these bras reviewed on bratabase. If like me you have been wondering about it, I say go for it! I found it on sale at breakoutbras abd had a 20 percent off coupon, which made it quite inexpensive.
I quite like the fit of this bra. I've had it for two months now, and the whole cup fits, it's not too high or wide on the sides, and the band is pretty snug. The only thing I don't like is that the gore is a bit too wide. My other Cleo bra doesn't have that problem, though.
I think I am going to stick with Cleo bras, as they seem to be the best fit for my shape and size.
Thank you for that, interesting that as someone e very full on top it worked for you. I am a little full on top yet Bravissimo Alana is ok on me ( not as good as cleo) and I wonder if that is because I have shortish roots? Would that apply to you too?
With regard to the gore, I have heard that this one is very easy to take in. Don't know if that is something to consider?
I too am becoming a Cleo girl!
Me too, maybe Cleo is good for short roots. I've only tried their Neve plunge so far but if the others are anything like that I'm def gonna be a Cleo girl :)
lilypw You could sew the gore together if it's too wide for you. I did that on my Lucy and it fits SO much better now! :)
Yeah, I just pinned it and it makes a huge difference in fit. When I sew it I'll add a picture.
This was recommended to me for a round silhouette. It definitely provides! Unfortunately, the tops of the cups are huge. I have plenty of projection in the bottom near the wire and the fit is perfect in that respect. The wire width is also perfect. It's a pretty bra and I can see why it's a favorite for so many. For me, I'm not sure if I should try sizing down, or just mark it off as a shape mis-match. I'm going to take in the lace to get a better fit rather than send it back.
This bra is nothing fancy, and I like it. I have recently put on weight (I'm both currently unemployed and not the most active person) and as always, I needed a brand new bra to put me out of my quadboob misery. Cleo is my n°1 favorite brand, because it's the only one that gives me both good support, good shape and relative comfort (I mean: as much as a casual bra can be comfortable - not counting my other favorite sports bra by Panache) and not too much strap sliding because they didn't put them too far apart like other brands do (I'm looking at you Curvy Kate!).
I ...found this model online for a very attractive price, and the different fabric texture is a nice change from the normal smooth nylon-like one. The rest is as usual for a Cleo bra: it gives round shape, high-ish breasts, good support throughout the day (but some slight band chafing because I'm between sizes and don't know yet if I should close it at the 2nd or 3d hook), the fabric breaths well and is not irritating.
I like that they didn't go crazy with neon colors or patterns with this one, despite the still bright coral color. Someday maybe they'll make a bra in neutral colors for youngsters ? Maybe it's because I'm much closer to my thirties than my twenties that I feel the need for tamer (more tame?) lingerie https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_smile.gif" alt=":)" />
I wish this bra had fit me, but even being the one Cleo that was consistently recommended for having narrow wires and lots of immediate projection (and it does!!) for some reason, the model just didn't work for me, which is sad since I loved the "Marcie Basketballs" shape (I can't remember whose review I read that on, but I thought it was hilarious and have since modified my mental name for that round shape to "basketboobs"). Unfortunately, the wires were too long which allowed the cups to be too wide... more about all this could be seen on my fit request with this bra, but since ...I myself am not quite sure exactly why it didn't fit, I'm not going to go into it more here.
What I can say with certainty: The 30HH Tangerine Marcie I tried was a lovely, bright orange-y peach shade that I thought was playful but still demure enough to work under many or most colored tops. It had a reasonably stable band despite having only two hooks, though the band seemed pretty stretchy to me - I'm not sure how those factors would combine and effect the lifespan of the bra in this size. The mesh was definitely transparent, even my very light pink ghost girl nipples were clearly visible through it, actually they were way more visible in this bra than they are normally. The mesh fabric of the main body of the bra was also prone to making my softish tissue wrinkle or "fold" in weird ways within the cup (probably becasue it didn't fit well) which were pretty visible and unattractive, which could be a unique thing about the tangerine shade, I don't know. The fabric also had enough stretch to it that when the strap pulled on the outside panel of the three-part cup that it was attached to, it created this visible line of tension across the cup that could be seen because it reflected light differently and made a vague depression along that line in the breast too. The center vertical seam in the tangerine marcie I tried was also very visible under the thin sweater I tried it with. I tried 3 comexim bras at the same time (65M - Comexim » Sonia Half Cup (406)65M - Comexim » Ingrid Plunge Bra (289)65N - Comexim » Burgundy Half Cup (357)) and tried all 4 bras with the same pink sweater. I'm not sure if it's possible to tell in the pictures, but in person the seams in the marcie showed through the most. This surprised me for some reason, so I thought I'd mention it, I guess I think of a bulkier padded bra as having bulkier seams but in this instance that didn't happen. Still, the shape was so nice that, had it fit me even slightly better, I would have kept it anyway and worn a tanktop or camisole with it if I cared about the seams showing - they weren't a deal breaker for me at all. I tried the Kali previously in 30H (30H - Cleo » Kali Balconnet Bra (7561)), and everything about its fit was perfect except for the cup volume. The first thing that hit me when I put that bra on was its comfort. With this Kali, the first thing I noticed were the wires. I require pretty narrow wires, and I'll be the first to admit that Cleo and I have never been totally compatible, as their tendencies with wire width and cup depth are the opposite of what I need. But these wires are the widest I've ever experienced, wrapping (or not, which is part of ...my issue) around to the very back of my armpit. They make the bra pretty uncomfortable at this point, so as soon as I've got measurements for this bra, I intend to go to town bending them to fit me better. The optimum bra for me here would be a 30HH Kali with the wires of the 30H.
There is also wrinkling in the outer mesh towards the bottom of the cups. I had some of that with the 30H, but with the 30HH, it's much more intense. I think it's due to my projection and the cup's lack thereof, but I also seem to fill out the cups' inner mesh fine.
On the bright side, the bra still looks pretty great to me. I still love the neon green color, and the rounded Cleo shape that it gives.
I've been wanting to try Cleo bras for a long time and when I spotted this very reasonably priced Meg bra in the ebay, I bought it right away. I've heard that Cleo bras are not like Panache regulars, but that their shape is quite different. That's true. I've never had a bra that gives a similar shape. It gives a great lift, very much like Ewa Michalaks, but the shape is vastly different in profile. I'd describe it as "comic-girl retro". I have old Superman-comics where the Wonder Woman has exactly the same kind of boob profile. https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_smile.gif" alt=":)" /> Very fetching, and ...I like the image. If you're wondering what the profile shape looks like, well, it's pronouncedly round with a distinctive upward curve on top of the breast - this bra will suit bottom-heavy breasts great! As the cup volume is precisely right for me, it fits me despite my strongly top-full boob shape. There's some wrinkling in the top-end of the cup with my smaller boob, but the bigger fills the cup completely.
Pros: - Very pretty print, great colour combination - Soft material and the overall impression is light - Excellent support - Individualistic, feminine shape - Low underarm wires, despite it being a Panache bra
The bra is a basic 3-part cut-and-sew with a leopard (power?)mesh overlay. It is too shallow for me, and I suspect I am getting some overflow at the top of the cup. But the leopard overlay is strong enough to keep up to 2 cup volumes of upper overflow in check. Check the detailed photos of how the bra is constructed, since I was pretty surprised by how they chose to attach the overlay. Fits like a normal larger-cup bra, wears like a fashionable, less feminine bra.
As someone who describes herself as having even distribution of breast tissue with lots of projection, and narrow and short short roots, getting this bra in a size up was not a good call. It is significantly too tall or open on top, and is ridiculously wide. This bra has much too little projection at the wire to satisfy my breasts. That said, it is a cute orange color, and the Marcie has such an iconic look that can be recognized from far away that the aesthetics of the bra are hard to criticize. It isn't any more uncomfortable than any other bra, but it doesn't stand out to me as being particularly comfortable.
This bra fits like a charm ! It gives me the nice rounded and projected shape I love in Cleo. I purchased it in the neutral color, and it doesn't show much under thin white tops. It is a boring, yet lovely light color, but the lace design makes this bra not-so-boring. It is my least flashy bra, which is needed sometimes even in the most colorful girl's dressing !
I found out I have to adjust my nipples a little more in that bra to face forward and not east-west but it's not a bother at all. It is very hot right now, but this bra lets the girls ...breath. The major improvement over all my other Cleo bras is that Marcie's straps don't slip from my narrow shoulders ! I don't have to adjust them all day or when I'm in transit, which is great !!
I recommend this bra. As a matter of fact the yellow babydoll is already on its way with the assorted frilly panties ! I also plan to purchase the black one. Marcie, you're my new favorite Cleo bra ! Read more 75 more words
I find that this bra runs small in the cup, and the measurements agree - more like a 30H than the 30HH it is supposed to be. It's a shame because I like the colour and the wires are narrow enough, but I get slight quadding even on my smaller side and LOTS of quadding on the larger side.
gives a nice rounded shape. not very comfortable though. the material is a bit rough and i can feel the wires a lot. straps are just about long enough, would prefer if i could make them a little bit longer (i've never had this problem before). true to size.
My new favorite. Lifts my breasts up, makes them round and front-and-center, with cups so deep my boyfriend laughed the first time he saw it in my bra drawer, but they fit like a dream! If you need projection and a youthful appearance, stop looking, because this is the bra for you.
This bra fits pretty well. It doesn't have quite the immediate projection I would like, but it's comfortable and supportive. I like the bright colours.
I just got this in the mail! First bra to perfectly fit, I think!! It's about the same style as the Marcie--its got a thicker band under the cups, and the gore isn't too wide, like on the Lucy. I feel like I'm getting a bit of the "jet boobs" effect, but I am assuming that will recede after I wear it for a bit.
Good quality, comfortable fabric. Everything is front and center, and the wires actually aren't too wide! It's a miracle!
I've tried the 30H, 30HH, and 32G in this style. The 30HH gore tacked the best, but there was extra fabric at the bottom of the cups and some at the top of the cups unless I stood at perfect attention with my shoulders back.
The only bad thing I can say about this bra is that the cups tend to stretch a bit through the course of the day. Wonderful forward projected, rounded, lifted shape, and the color is so cute. The lace and seaming barely shows--really only through the thinnest shirts. I pretty much have to wash it after every wearing because of the stretching out issue, but other than that, it's like the Cleo Lily Balconnet Bra (7351) but minus the center gore digging into my sternum. More colors! Must have!
I love the look of this one! Perfect for under a V neck top for that spash of color. Glad it worked out for you!
