I almost gave up on buying more Cleos after I got bored of my Lucy - as it is way too loose now on me and I stopped wearing it after I start buying Comexims and EM. However, when I saw Blake in the preview it made me to think that I could give a try as it looks very simple. It was great choice - better than my Hettie that I was in love but again is too loose on me - so im trying to sell it and get it in 32DD or 30E instead. Blake has so great materials! like a new better Cleo! Fabric feels ...so good quality and is very soft. Also, I love the combination with beige trim. The only think that I don't like is the bow with animal print. It gives obviously rounded shape, the wires are narrow enough and works well on me. The band is bit loose, I could close it on the tightest hooks however the second set feels comfortable and supportive enough. The band unfortunately is made of 1 layer of mesh - so I think that it may stretch out with the time.. the straps are not too wide - feels like my EM BM Szmaragd, also are fuly adjustable. Overall Im very happy with the purchase and Ill be trying to get it in new blue version *_*
EDIT: Ive got with it panties in 12UK (M, 38) and they fit like real M (38) size. Front is made of the double layer of mesh while back of one layer of the see through mesh. Read more 156 more words
I have never really loved Cleo's Unlined bras and never really got the obsession that surrounds them. I am happy to say that has changed. I absolutely love the Cleo Hettie. I am very pleased that I gave unlined Cleo's another chance. I also recently got another model of Cleo as well that I love. The only issue is that the bands are very stretchy on the newer Cleos, all the old Cleo's I always thought felt too tight even in a 32 band, despite measuring close to TTS. The Hettie's band in 32DD is actually longer than a 34D Lily. I have a full review on my blog along with a bit of a comparison to Lily.
I finally found a padded UK bra I actually like, the print is super cute too, modern but a bit retro. The fit is quite similar to a Polish half cup, full review and comparison on my blog. I only have a couple minor issues with it, the gore is a bit wide, but still manageable, and the straps are only half adjustable and while very thin, they are sturdy not super stretchy.
Such a cute bra! Thanks for reviewing it, I hadn't realized that there was a new mimi pattern out.
I hadn't seen it until Cleo sent it to me, I absolutely love the print. It seems to be a bit hard to find, so I'm guessing it's not in stock everywhere yet.
When I ordered the Hettie, I had to decide between a 32DD and a 30E. Both fit well in the cups, but the 30E felt a little too tight to be comfortable, so - knowing that Cleo bands usually stay tight for long - I went with the 32DD. After a just few weeks of occasional wear (and washing) the band has loosened up considerably. The bra slips around on the loosest set of hooks, rides up my back and feels unstable. So, I'm already on the middle hooks now and probably need to switch to the tightest hooks soon.
I'm planning to take in the band so this isn't ...a dealbreaker for me. However, be aware that Hettie might loosen up sooner than other unpadded Cleos. If you're between sizes, consider buying the smaller size and using an extender during the first few wears.
The fabric used for the band is different from, e.g., the Cleo Marcie's. It's not sturdy power mesh, but a softer fabric that has more stretch to it. It snaps back after wash, but stretches out after a couple hours of wear again. Read more 77 more words
I first thought Marcie in 30E fit me perfectly (I measure 28" supertight and 30" loose), but a 32 band is actually much more comfortable. The wires don't get distorted and widened by the band (they were a smidge too wide in the 30E), so they match my breast root perfectly. Another big plus is that the wires don't dig into my sternum! This was a huge issue with the 30E and nothing seemed to help - cotton balls, bending the wires, 'wearing it in', I've had it all and nothing worked. I get enough support from the 32 band and there is no shifting throughout the day. The Marcie fits and looks great and gives a rounded and slightly uplifted shape.
Everyone should try sister-sizing up in unpadded Cleo bras if they don't fit comfortably! The fit is much better and more comfy if you try a wider band and the support is still great.
I measure 25" super tight, 26" comfortable and 27.5" loose. I find the 30 band Marcie is more comfortable than the 28 band. I could even wear a 32 band in Marcie and the band probably wouldn't ride up from being too big.
Band was really stretchy and I could almost fit my hand underneath it while wearing it on the first set of hooks. Cups had a lot of space at the top, probably due to my breast shape. However, the gap was quite severe so it might be partially due to this bra cups running large, as other reviews have stated. I'm still trying to figure out what styles/size is best for me, but unfortunately this one did not fit. Hoping to get it right, as this bra is beautiful! Love the pink lace around the cup
2nd bra that fits so far! It isn't quite as supportive as I like (when I bounce up and down there is more jiggle than my other bras), but it is pretty comfortable. after wearing it for 45min or so, the wires felt like they were digging in a bit.
At first, as with the cleo hettie, I wondered if the band was too tight-- but the band regular and stretched measurements were larger than most of the others that fit in the band. It fits upside down/backwards.
Since it is just these 2 cleo bras that feel like this, maybe it is bc the wires are stiff?
Or maybe just because I've worn them for longer and realize that they are not as comfy as when just putting them on for 5 minutes..
Thinking about trying a 34d but thinking that even if the band was more comfortable, it might not fit as well overall.
This bra actually fit except for the center gore digging into my sternum. I bent the wires back a bit and still was uncomfortable. Also felt like the wires were digging in under my breasts or like the band was too tight. Based on regular and stretched band measurements, the band isn't any shorter than other ones that felt comfortable, so I am wondering if it is just the wires being stiff. Although, I did wear this bra around the house for a while, which I haven't with the others.
Have thought about trying a 34d but it seems like the band would be too tight.. thoughts?
I may be completely wrong, but in the last two pictures it looks as though you are quaking where the lace meets the rest of the cup. I wonder if the cup is too small perhaps?
I agree to what EmmaOh said that bra looks little too small, however 32E might be too large - you could try 30F instead? I owned one in 30E, forced myself to wear it and hated it. The wires were so uncomfortable, the gore was digging in and band was bit itchy, leaving bad red marks. I had also in 34D, and didnt fit well.
Panache Cleo Skye attempt no 4. Ive tried 28FF, 32E, 30F and now 32DD. 32E - cups very large and band way too lose, 28FF - cups too large (but little smaller than 32E) and band too tight, 30F - band perfect, cups like 1/2 size too large (kind of worked as a full cup when straps pulled up but wires too wide and strap placement too wide due to too big cups). Thats about other sized Ive tried Ive snapped this in 32DD in cheaper price than 30E so decided to give a go as 30F wasnt horrbile but I had to try smaller size and I must admit ...I am kind of really happy with that! The band obviously I can close on the tightest set of hooks, definietly Id need band 30. However it is very comfy. The wires are spot on! 13cm wires are my perfect width so they do not end almost in the middle of my armpits and also the cups is shorter on the side so more comfortable The cup depth is good, very good - but tiny in-cup quad occurs on the bigger side. Also I have very tiny gapping near the gore, but i think I can just adjust straps better and it will dissapear. Also the cup coverage is much lower than in 30F, so I guess 30e would be really my best size. Strap placement is still little to wide but it should bother my armpits.
So yay, I am even more happy now but still Id prefer to have 30E. however, the band can be little adjusted with moms help *_* anyone interested in buying or swapping 30F or 32DD for 30e? https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_smile.gif" alt=":)" />)))))
I wish!! I love this bra and really want to try it but I definitely would need a 28F in it, especially since I've heard the band runs large.
Well, lcl0706 I wouldn't say it runs really large, but maybe little looser than Marcie - so not bad :) hope you'll Find your 28F! I wish the new colour version isn't pink, id love it in yellow with blue or pink instead *_*
Very exciting :) i was tempted for your 30F but realistically know it would probably be a bit big in the cup. Maybe one day we'll get 30Es!
got this to try, been wearing it all day so far. doesn't hurt, gaps a little but that is such a nice contrast to always feeling like my breast are being smashed down when i do find an underwire bra that "fits". as always, my right breast fits it almost perfectly, but my left more projected and higher up breast, doesn't fill the bottom, but it's not noticeable and makes for a nice silhouette under clothing, which is nice to have from time to time https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_smile.gif" alt=":)" /> the top of the cups cut in a tad and slightly curl inward when i put my arms together and such. but all in all, i think it would be nice to have at least one more padded underwire bra that doesn't press on tissue, etc.
update: tried this in the floral and the cups curl outward from the print fabric cup overlay. i would stick to just the solid colors if you want more of a smooth look.
Really pretty bra happy😀 That you could find an underwire bra that is comfy enough for you to wear.
thanks! i think i might buy the floral as the one i got is boring beige ;) excuses excuses to buy more bras, haha.
I'm just sorry it does not come in my size. 😥
bummer :( that sucks. that's how it goes for me also but on the other end. i always see all these great looking wireless "plus size" bras and they don't come in my size either. manufacturers need to get with it! haha
The Cleo Neve looks really nice in the picture. A nice "go to" bra for you. So l would not get too bummed with the selection of wireless bras. Maybe I will try one.
the pic is not of me, just in case u wondered.... but i hope the floral looks just as good in person, we shall see in a couple weeks, i have to wait for international delivery, ugh...
Did not think it was you. Does not look like a D or a DD.
well the pic that comes up for the 32DD floral Neve, is someone wearing a 32DD, and i'm pretty small looking myself. it's kinda of bummer because i've gone into bra stores and have had fitters say they have nothing that will fit me and then when i finally take my shirt off and they try to put me in a bra that is 3 cups smaller than what i wear, they are the funniest looking confused, i have to have a sense of humor about it.
An optical illusion. However, your picture of the OnGossamer looks great and is not "small-looking" by any stretch.
I am generally finding 30E to be my usual size with an occasional 28F, and Cleo unpadded in 30E does fit, but on the advice of bracrastination I tried the 32 sister size in this bra. The fit is perfection. Great advice and I very much appreciate it! 32DD is definitely my Cleo unpadded size (UB 27.5 in. and OB 34.5).
As with all Cleo unpadded I have tried so far this gives fantastic lift and support. Very comfortable and flattering.
It actually isn't bad. I think in some of these a 30E is best for me, but some of them seem to have extra tight bands (I found this with Ellis and Minnie) and a 32DD is a very good fit, even on the loosest hook. For this Natasha I think a 30E might be slightly better, but I wasn't able to find one. The 32 band is ok on loosest hook, perfect on the middle hook. I do have a 27 inch UB, but I have very little body fat around my rib cage and I find 28 bands to be painful by the end of the day, so 30 usually works best with 32 in a few cases when bands are extra firm, It seems to have a lot to do with stretchiness of the fabric.
Also, the cup sometimes fits better when pressure is taken off the band. So, even though snug bands are great on one hand, they can sometimes distort cup fit. The trade off suggests trying sister sizes and see which works best in the end. I think that is what I really learned when I tried these on in 32DD (even if I preferred the 30E in the end).
> I do have a 27 inch UB, but I have very little body fat around my rib cage and I find 28 bands to be painful by the end of the day, so 30 usually works best with 32 in a few cases when bands are extra firm
Same for me - I have a 27" ribcage as well and I rarely find 28 bands that fit (see my bra list). When I put on a 32 band which is as tight as this one (band stretches to only 29"!) and I jump around in it a little, and the band stays in place, it's perfectly fine and gives me all the stability I need. I tried several 30 band Marcies but all of them gave me distorted cups, a digging center gore, major discomfort and red marks that lasted for days :|
Overall fits meh, especially the center gore, especially the left side, pushes into my sternum and it hurts. Not sure if it's an individual bra problem. (Edit: yeah, exchanged for another 32DD. It was an individual product problem.) The straps are longer than on the 30E, so they don't dig into my shoulders anymore. The band is on the looser side. Unfortunately, the Mimi didn't fit. It rides up too much for me. (Possibly from it being too narrow? Or was it the band? I'm not sure.)
My shape: close set, center full, full on bottom, average/narrow width roots, tall shallow roots, semi soft tissue.
I had high hopes for this bra, but it just doesn't fit me. I was excited about this being a super plunge strapless, but that's all it has going for it, lol. The cups are very wide, but oh so very shallow. It doesn't even stay up momentarily, it just immediately slides down and rests on my ribs instead of being under my bust. It looks quite funny, like a little plate holding up my boobs. 😂 The cup is very open, so it doesn't close in on top of my ...roots, and the band is a good size, not too tight or loose (I do think it runs small for a 32" band). This might be a fantastic bra for shallow shapes, it's just not FOB friendly.
Other positive features that I see: good wing height, side boning that isn't obnoxious, silicone strips on the top and bottom of the band, and 3 hooks in the back to get a more secure fit. Read more 72 more words
I do not think I am quite shallow enough for this bra to work quite well for me. The bra itself gives me excellent form, until the cup stops - the fringe lace finish for some reason is on the inside vs the outside of the cup. This causes the rest of my supported breast to fill up against it causing a quad. I really like this bra, but I think I will have to pass on it.
Received the wrong size, I am a 28f or 30e. So cups are too big as the band too. But, I can say I will not order another size because the cups are too narrow and close together. I love the style and the fact that the gore and the cups come high. But viewed from the front it brings my wide rooted breasts too together and projected, which is the opposite of their natural state.
This bra is a miracle worker. THis is the first time in my 50+ years that I have ever had an uplifted and round shape. I've always been pendulous and so normally get a more pointed shape, never rounded. Unfortunately, it is too small with quading in the larger cup and the wire does not tack on the larger side. So sad...so, so sad.
This bra gives me the most amazing cakes on a plate cleavage/decollete I have ever had, and without the "smooshed boob" effect. I just had to buy it: it fits me perfectly and does not need any extra padding on the bottom to give me a boosted, round, front and center look which is still natural looking and pleasantly sexy. Will be great for dresses and for going out.
I am very pleased with how it looks: the colour is rich and the lace and contrast trim give it more interest.
Wires - slightly too narrow? I think I could live with this but prefer just a bit more
Gore not digging in. Unremarkable.
Shape seems pretty good! Top cut in while taking the photos
Photos taken while breasts at largest, bloated size. After puffyness went down, cup top doesn't cut into tissue at all, lays pretty flat! not deflated.
Helpful comparisons! Have you tried Blake?
